Schwarze Röder

Radeberg is a small town in the district of Bautzen, Saxony, Germany. It is located approximately 20 kilometres north-east of Dresden. The town has an Evangelical and a Roman Catholic church, and an old castle.

Radeberger started in 1872 when the brewery was founded as Zum Bergkeller, in Radeberg, a town in the vicinity of Dresden. Radeberger ranks No. 9 among Germany's best selling beers.

Liegau-Augustusbad is a district of Radeberg, Landkreis Bautzen, Saxony. As of 2012 it had about 2000 inhabitants and is located on the Große Röder river on the northern edge of the Dresden Heath. Formerly named Liegau it was renamed Liegau-Augustusbad in 1922 to acknowledge the Augustusbad Spa in the district.

Arnsdorf is a municipality in the district of Bautzen, in Saxony, Germany. Arnsdorf (b Dresden) railway station is located in the southern part of the village and located at Görlitz–Dresden and Kamenz–Pirna railway lines.

Wachau (German: [vaˈxaʊ̯] ) or Wachow (Upper Sorbian, pronounced [ˈwaxɔf]) is a municipality in the district of Bautzen in Saxony, Germany.

The Dresden High Magnetic Field Laboratory (Hochfeld-Magnetlabor Dresden, HLD) in the Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR) focuses on modern materials research at high magnetic fields. It serves as a research facility for in-house as well as for user projects and provides research opportunities for pulsed magnetic fields up to 90 teslas for routine operation. A record field close to 95.6 T has been reached in 2011. The HLD aims at reaching magnetic fields up to the feasibility limit of about 100 teslas.

The Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR) is a Dresden-based research laboratory. It conducts research in three of the Helmholtz Association's areas: materials, health, and energy. HZDR is a member of the Helmholtz Association of German Research Centres.

Arnsdorf (German: Bahnhof Arnsdorf (b Dresden)) is a railway station in the town of Arnsdorf, Saxony, Germany. The station lies on the Görlitz–Dresden railway and Kamenz–Pirna railway. The section from Arnsdorf to Dürrröhrsdorf, which used to be part of Kamenz–Pirna railway, was closed in 2007.

The Schönfeld Upland (German: Schönfelder Hochland) is a plateau in Dresden. It is named after Schönfeld, the district of Dresden in the middle of the plateau. Up to 1950, when Pillnitz was incorporated into Dresden, the upland was known as the Pillnitzer Elbe Plateau.

The Kleine Röder or Wilde Röder is a river in the east German state of Saxony. It is about 20 km (12 mi) long and rises on the southwestern slopes of the Eierberg near Lichtenberg in the district of Bautzen at 320 m (1,050 ft). Below Leppersdorf (a village in the borough of Wachau), the stream changes its course from southwest to north, following the general lie of the land. It flows through Kleindittmannsdorf with its four former water mills. On the edge of the mighty Okrilla Basin Sands (Okrillaer Beckensande) it swings west and discharges into the Große Röder in Cunnersdorf (a village in the borough Ottendorf-Okrilla). Its longest tributaries are, from the south, the Orla and, from the north, the Großnaundorfer Wasser. There are frequent floods in the catchment area of the Kleinen Röder. Flood damage is recorded in the years 1958, 2002, 2006, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013. Ein großes Hochwasser trat am 12. und 13. August 2002 auf. There was particularly serious damage in Leppersdorf and Ottendorf-Okrilla. In addition, the plunge pool of the Kleindittmannsdorf Reservoir was destroyed.
