Lake Monger

The Perth Wetlands, also known as the Perth Great Lakes or the Great Lakes District, was a collection of fresh-water wetlands, swamps and lakes located on the Swan Coastal Plain north of the city of Perth in Western Australia. Over a period of 80 years from the first British settlement in Western Australia in 1829 most of the wetlands were reclaimed for use as housing, parks and market gardens.

Leederville is a locality within the City of Vincent in the Perth metropolitan region of Western Australia. It is home to Aranmore Catholic College, the School of Isolated and Distance Education, North Metropolitan TAFE, Trinity Theological College, and St Mary's Church. The suburb was named after William Henry Leeder, the original grantee of land that encompassed the area.

The City of Vincent is a local government area of Western Australia. It covers an area of approximately 10.4 square kilometres (4.0 sq mi) in metropolitan Perth, the capital of Western Australia, and lies about 3 km from the Perth CBD. The City of Vincent maintains 139 km of roads and 104 ha of parks and gardens. It had a population of over 33,000 at the 2016 Census.

Anzac Cottage is a house in the suburb of Mount Hawthorn, Western Australia that was built as both a memorial to the soldiers who died in the Gallipoli Campaign and as a home for one of the wounded returning men. It is notable for being the first World War I memorial built in Western Australia, and for (nominally) being built in a single day (12 February 1916) with donated funds, materials and labour.

West Leederville is a suburb 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) northwest of the central business district of Perth, the capital of Western Australia, and is within the Town of Cambridge. It used to be integrated with Leederville prior to the construction of the Mitchell Freeway through the suburb in 1972. The tiny section east of Southport Street is a commercial area with several warehouses, taking advantage of its location at the end of the Graham Farmer Freeway. The rest of the suburb is medium-density residential. The suburb backs onto Subiaco Oval and St John of God Subiaco Hospital. Many of the original residences still stand, with most being renovated next to newer double storey dwellings, leafy streets with some properties gaining views of the city. "Hill of Tara" is a newer subdivision with larger homes on bigger blocks, with many affording view of Lake Monger. It is served by a bus service along Cambridge Street and the Leederville train station (Joondalup line) and West Leederville train station (Fremantle line).

Glendalough is a suburb of Perth, Western Australia in the local government area of the City of Stirling, about 6 kilometres from Perth's central business district along the Mitchell Freeway. It was named after Glendalough in Ireland.

St John of God Subiaco Hospital is a private hospital in Subiaco, Western Australia, founded in 1898.

St Joseph's Church is a Roman Catholic church in Subiaco, Western Australia. The church opened on 12 August 1934. It was designed in the Interwar Gothic style by architect Edgar Le Blond Henderson.

Wembley is a western suburb of Perth, Western Australia, located within the Town of Cambridge. Its postcode is 6014. The main streets in Wembley are Cambridge Street, Harborne Street, Grantham Street and Selby Street. It is an upper middle class, medium-density suburb. Wembley is home to Bold Park Community School, Lake Monger Primary, Wembley Primary School and the Speech and Hearing Centre. Lake Monger is a large lake located on the outer edges of the suburb. The 2016 Census recorded a population of just over 11,000. Wembley was originally inhabited by the Mooro people of the Noongar Aboriginal clan for at least 40,000 years before European settlement. After the arrival of Europeans, Wembley was settled through land grants and purchasing of land by the Catholic Church. Intense subdivision of land and introduction of public transportation saw the area develop, and was named Wembley Park in 1924, shortened to Wembley in 1935.

Mount Hawthorn is a suburb of Perth, Western Australia, located within the City of Vincent. The Mount Hawthorn area was first selected for urban development in 1887. In the late 1890s part of it was purchased by a syndicate of Edward Wittenoom, a politician and pastoralist; James Hicks and C. L. W. Clifton. When this group subdivided their land in 1903, Hicks called his portion of the subdivision Hawthorn Estate, as he had recently been in Melbourne and stayed at Hawthorn.

West Leederville station is a railway station on the Transperth network in Western Australia. It is located on the Fremantle line and Airport line, 2.7 kilometres from Perth station on the boundary between West Leederville and Subiaco. It was the main station for the former Subiaco Oval containing a special event platform no longer in use.

Glendalough railway station is a railway station on the Transperth network in Perth, Western Australia. It is located on the Joondalup line, five kilometres from Perth station serving the suburb of Glendalough.
