Seaford Meadows railway station

Noarlunga is a closed railway station in Adelaide, South Australia. It was an unattended crossing station, with water available. The ticket agency was closed in 1946. The stop is now completely disused, the entire Willunga railway line having been dismantled in 1972 and is now the route of the Coast to Vines Rail Trail.

Moana is a closed railway station in Adelaide, South Australia. It was a ground level stopping place during the passenger transport days of this line, and a 1965 reference mentioned that it was no longer used at that date.There was a smaller stop following this called 'Noarlunga Sand Siding' opened in 1928 for loading sand which closed in September 1950. A 1965 reference remarks that traces of the old siding could still be seen at that date on the curve before Pedlars Creek Road crossing.The Seaford railway station, built in 2014 on the Seaford railway line, is located approximately 300m from the site of Moana station. A portion of land was added to the suburb in 1960 from an area known as Onkaparinga and was subsequently removed in 1995 to create the suburb of Seaford Meadows. In April 2001, the South Port Surf Life Saving Club submitted a proposal to rename parts of both the suburbs of Port Noarlunga and Port Noarlunga South as South Port. However, this proposal was withdrawn in August 2001 following discussions with the City of Onkaparinga regarding "locational identification issues " and replace with a request to "investigate the naming of South Port Beach."Port Noarlunga South is bounded by the centre of the channel of the Onkaparinga River to the north, the coastline with Gulf St Vincent to the west, Aldam Road to the South and to the east by Commercial Road in part in the south, the centre of the Onkaparinga River in part and a line connecting both parts. Land use within the suburb consists of residential on its west side and 'open space' for land located within the Onkaparinga River Recreation Park on its east side.Port Noarlunga South is located within the federal Division of Kingston, the state electoral district of Kaurna and the local government area of the City of Onkaparinga.

Seaford Heights is a metropolitan suburb of Adelaide, South Australia. It lies within the City of Onkaparinga and has postcode 5169. Its boundaries are formed by Robinson Road on the north, Main South Road on the west, Victor Harbor Road & Ostrich Farm Road on the east, and The Southern Waste Depot on the south. It covers 77 hectares. Infrastructure development of Seaford Heights began in early 2014. The first permanent buildings (including an Aldi supermarket) were completed in late 2015. The Aldi supermarket opened in February 2016.The development of Seaford Heights has gained considerable opposition. It is argued that the suburb represents unacceptable urban sprawl, infringing on The McLaren Vale wine region. A Facebook page titled 'We Oppose Seaford Heights' has attracted almost 1000 'likes'.The Fairmont Group, an Australian property-development company, was given the tender in December 2008 to develop the property, and planned to start in late 2009. However, local opposition to the development stalled development for several years. Original plans called for 1,300 allotments and an approximate population of 4,500. Some concerns have been raised with City of Onkaparinga council that the residential area will be sandwiched between two of Southern Adelaide's busiest arterial roads (Main South Road, Victor Harbor Road) and a dump (The Southern Waste Depot). Local opposition has also questioned placing a "strip mall" next to Adelaide's extensive grape fields.

The Onkaparinga River, known as Ngangkiparri or Ngangkiparingga ("place of the women’s river") in the Kaurna language, is a river located in the Southern Adelaide region in the Australian state of South Australia. Rising in the Mount Lofty Ranges, the river's estuary extends from Old Noarlunga to the river's mouth between the suburbs of Port Noarlunga and Port Noarlunga South.
