Towson Run is a tributary of Jones Falls, a stream in Baltimore County, Maryland, in the United States. The stream runs north through Sheppard Pratt and Towson University, near the communities of Rodgers Forge and Armagh Village.

Lake Roland is a 100-acre (0.40 km2) defunct reservoir in Baltimore County, Maryland. It was named for Roland Run, a nearby stream that feeds the lake and eventually flows into Jones Falls. It runs southeast through the city center to the Northwest Branch of the Patapsco River and the Baltimore Harbor. It is located just north of the Baltimore city limits. The lake is contained within the bounds of Lake Roland Park, which was established in the 1920s and supervised by the newly organized Baltimore City Department of Parks and Recreation. The lake is an artificial impoundment created by a dam on Jones Falls and two smaller streams: Towson Run and Roland Run. The lake supports wildlife including Canada geese, largemouth bass, and common carp. The lake is part of the Lake Roland Historic District.

L’Hirondelle Club is a private social club located in Ruxton, Maryland and is the oldest such club in the Baltimore region. Established in 1872, L'Hirondelle remains true to its original mission of being "a club formed by friends for the purpose of creating a place in which they and their families can gather for social and athletic activities in a gracious and intimate atmosphere." L’Hirondelle provides its membership with resort-style racquet and aquatics facilities as well as excellent dining and social event offerings.

Lake Roland is a city/county park encompassing over 500 acres of woodland, wetlands, serpentine barrens, rare plants and rocky plateaus surrounding Lake Roland in Baltimore County, Maryland. The park is located near the intersection of Falls Road and Lake Avenue, adjacent to the Falls Road Light Rail Stop of the Baltimore Light Rail, which runs from Cromwell Station near Glen Burnie in Anne Arundel County in the south to Hunt Valley of Baltimore County. The line runs along a railroad embankment and trestle over the lake above the dam, cutting the park into a two-thirds wooded northern part and the one-third southern portion around the dam, picnic groves, pavilion and pumping station.Though the park is located just outside the northern limits of Baltimore City, it is owned by the city and operated as a park since the 1920s by the Baltimore City Department of Recreation and Parks and is now leased to neighboring Baltimore County and operated by their parks agency, in a similar arrangement to the situation with Fort Smallwood Park, several miles southeast of the city along the Patapsco River's south shore in Anne Arundel County, and transferred for lease to that suburban county's jurisdiction. After years of disrepair, the park was temporarily closed on December 16, 2009, when Baltimore County assumed operation of the Park for which Baltimore City's government still "retains title," for $6 million in extensive renovation, working with the Wallace Montgomery and Human & Rohde, Inc. construction companies, including "pavilions, playgrounds, trails, bridges and even a dog park." Under the new administration of Baltimore County's Parks and Recreation, the park was reopened to the public on Friday, October 14, 2011.

The Hooper House, also known as Hooper House II, located in Bare Hills in Baltimore County, Maryland, was commissioned by philanthropist Edith Hooper, and designed by architects Marcel Breuer and Herbert Beckhard. Breuer had designed an addition to the Hoopers' prior home in Baltimore in 1948; that home is often referred to as "Hooper House I," which is why this newer residence is often called "Hooper House II." Ground was broken on the project in 1958 and the house was completed in 1959.

Ruxton and Riderwood are unincorporated communities in Baltimore County, Maryland, United States. They are sometimes considered a part of Towson and are part of Towson's census area. The boundaries of Ruxton have been established largely by local custom. Both the eastern boundary, Charles Street, and the western, Falls Road, are generally agreed upon. The northern and southern boundaries are somewhat imprecise. To the north and northwest, affiliation with Ruxton follows Joppa Road, the Old Court Road extension alongside the Jones Falls Expressway (I-83), and finally Ruxton Road to its intersection with Falls. A southern boundary can be discerned by drawing a crude line from the southerly intersection of Bellona Avenue (MD-134) and Charles to the intersection of West Lake Avenue and Falls. Riderwood’s northern boundary is generally agreed upon as the Baltimore Beltway (I-695). To the southwest, south, and east, affiliation with Riderwood follows Joppa Road from its overpass of the Beltway to its bridge over Charles Street and along Charles Street to its interchange with the Beltway. The commercial center of Ruxton, Ruxton Village, is centered around the intersection of Bellona Avenue and Ruxton Road. Riderwood hosts two smaller villages; one located along Bellona Avenue just north of its intersection with Joppa Road, and another centered around the intersection of Joppa and Thornton Roads.

Tyrconnell is a historic home located in Baltimore County, Maryland, United States. It is a 2+1⁄2-story stone house set on 27 acres (110,000 m2) which contain several significant gardens by the landscape architect Arthur Folsom Paul. The house was designed by the Baltimore firm of Mottu and White in 1919, in Colonial Revival style. Also on the property is a frame gardeners’ house, a grouping of four barns and a shed, a garage, and two stone spring houses.Tyrconnell was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973 and is protected by conservation easements held by Maryland Environmental Trust.

Falls Road station is a Baltimore Light Rail station in the southwest corner of Towson, Maryland, located near the Mount Washington neighborhood of Baltimore and the Bare Hills Historic District in the Jones Falls Valley. It has two side platforms serving two tracks, one in each direction. A 0.3 mile boardwalk provides access from the parking lot to neighboring Lake Roland Park.

Stoneleigh-Rodgers Forge was a Census-designated place in Baltimore County during the 1960 United States Census, which consists of the communities of Stoneleigh and Rodgers Forge. The population in 1960 was 15,645. The census area merged with Towson in 1970, when the population of Towson CDP increased from 19,090 to 77,768. The ZIP code serving the area is 21212.

The Bare Hills House is a historic home built about 1856 in the Mount Washington area of Baltimore County, Maryland, United States. It is a two-story frame dwelling with steep gables and board-and batten siding. The house is an example of the Carpenter Gothic style of architecture.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on August 6, 1980. It is located at 6222 Falls Road in the Bare Hills Historic District.

Loyola Blakefield is a private Catholic, college preparatory school run by the USA East Province of the Society of Jesus in Towson, Maryland and within the Archdiocese of Baltimore. It was established in 1852 by the Jesuits as an all-boys school for students from Baltimore, Baltimore County, Harford County, Carroll County, Howard County, Anne Arundel County, and Southern Pennsylvania. It enrolls over 900 students in grades six through twelve. The school was originally called Loyola High School when it was established in 1852. The name change occurred when it added a middle school.
