Osborne Acres is an unincorporated community in Alberta, Canada within Parkland County that is recognized as a designated place by Statistics Canada. It is located on the west side of Range Road 264, 1.0 km (0.62 mi) south of Highway 16.

Wagner Natural Area is a provincially designated protected area in the Canadian province of Alberta, 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) west of Edmonton. It contains 130 hectares (320 acres) of land and predominantly comprises calcareous fens alongside marl ponds, wetland meadows, and forests of black spruce and tamarack. In 1987, it was designated as a Natural Area under the Wilderness Areas, Ecological Reserves, Natural Areas and Heritage Rangelands Act. Purchased by the Alberta provincial government in 1971, it is administered by the Wagner Natural Area Society (WNAS) and the Natural Resources Service of Alberta Environment. The most important feature of the area are the fens, which are now uncommon around Edmonton. The designation of the site as a natural area was primarily for the preservation of the fens. However one issue unresolved by the protective designation is that most of the groundwater reservoirs that feed the fens are outside of the Wagner Natural Area itself.Although bogs and fens are not uncommon in Alberta, Wagner Natural Area is notable as the only mineral-rich fen within 160 kilometres (99 mi) of Edmonton and one of the only sites east of the Rocky Mountains and south of Fort McMurray. As a result of its unique biophysical properties, unusually high biodiversity for an area of its size, and convenient location to major population centres, Wagner Natural Area is one of the most extensively studied natural areas in Alberta. It is also recognized as an Ecological Monitoring and Assessment Network site.

Enoch Cree Nation 135, (Cree: ᒪᐢᑫᑯᓯᐦᐠ, romanized: maskêkosihk ) previously known as Stony Plain No. 135, is an Indian reserve of the Enoch Cree Nation #440 in Alberta. It is adjacent to the City of Edmonton to the east and Parkland County to the north, west, and south.

The Enoch Cree Nation #440 (Cree: ᒪᐢᑫᑯᓯᐦᐠ, maskêkosihk) is a First Nations band government in Alberta, Canada. Members of the Nation are of Cree ancestry and speak the Plains Cree dialect of the Cree language group. The band is a signatory of Treaty 6 and is a member of the Confederacy of Treaty Six First Nations. The chief of the Enoch Cree Nation is Cody Thomas.

Spruce Grove-Sturgeon-St. Albert was a provincial electoral district in Alberta, Canada mandated to return a single member to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta using the first-past-the-post method of voting from 1993 to 2012.

Big Lake is a lake in Edmonton metropolitan region, Canada. It is located adjacent to the northwest corner of Edmonton and the southwest corner of St. Albert. Its primary inflow is the Sturgeon River. The lake sits on the sands and gravels of the Empress Formation, an aquifer 30 m (98 ft) below its surface that was laid down by retreating glacial meltwaters. Big Lake is part of the 260 km (160 mi) long Sturgeon River that begins at Hoople Lake and flows east to the North Saskatchewan River. Atim Creek flows into Big Lake from the west and Carrot Creek from the north. Big Lake is home to as much as 235 different types of birds. The western bay of the lake provides rare nesting habitat for Franklin's gulls. The Lois Hole Centennial Provincial Park is established on the shore of the lake.

Springwater School was built in 1922 and is located in Starland County, 10 miles north of the Michichi turn off on Highway 9 in Alberta, Canada. The School was part of the Drumheller School Division No. 30. Even though it is no longer in use, it has been well maintained by the Springwater Homestead Foundation.

Kinglet Gardens is a developing neighborhood in northwest Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It was named for golden-crowned kinglets and ruby-crowned kinglets that are native to nearby Big Lake.Kinglet Gardens is located within the Big Lake area and is identified as Neighbourhood 4 within the Big Lake Area Structure Plan (ASP). It was officially named Kinglet Gardens on May 27, 2014.It is bounded on the west by 231 Street NW, north by the Hawks Ridge neighbourhood, east by 215 Street NW (Winterburn Road), and south by Yellowhead Trail (Highway 16).

Edmonton—Spruce Grove was a federal electoral district in Alberta, Canada, that was represented in the House of Commons of Canada from 2004 to 2015. It was a suburban riding in Edmonton. The electoral district was created in 2003 from St. Albert, Edmonton Southwest and Edmonton West ridings. It was abolished in 2013. Most of the Edmonton portion became part of a recreated Edmonton West, with a small portion transferring to Edmonton Centre. The suburban portion became part of Sturgeon River—Parkland.

Lois Hole Centennial Provincial Park is a provincial park and part of a designated Important Bird Area in Alberta, Canada, located immediately west from Edmonton and St. Albert. It was named after Lois Hole, former Lieutenant Governor of Alberta. The park is situated on the shores of Big Lake, on the lower course of the Sturgeon River, at an elevation of 660 m (2,170 ft). It is maintained by Alberta Tourism, Parks and Recreation and was established on April 19, 2005, on lands designated in 1999 as Big Lake Natural Area (part of the Special Places program). It is the most recent provincial park to be established in the province, and Alberta's 69th in total.

Rolling Meadows is an unincorporated community in Alberta, Canada within Parkland County that is recognized as a designated place by Statistics Canada. It is located on the east side of Range Road 271, 0.7 km (0.43 mi) north of Highway 16.

Myshak Metro Ballpark is under construction in Spruce Grove, Alberta, Canada. The baseball park is the home of the Edmonton Prospects, a Western Canadian Baseball League team playing in the West Division. The park is scheduled to open in 2024 and will seat 3,470 people. The ballpark replaced RE/MAX Field as the home of the Prospects. The ballpark was initially known as Spruce Grove Metro Ballpark during planning and construction, and naming rights were awarded on February 18, 2022, to the Myshak Group, a crane and rigging company.The ballpark is part of a privately-financed development by the Spruce Gold Partnership and will feature a microbrewery, an outdoor amphitheatre, an 80-unit condominium building known as the DiMaggio as well a field house and an auditorium.The stadium itself will include a 360-degree concourse that wraps around the stadium, 2,200 lower-bowl seats, as well as options for Founders Club seats and Skybox Suites seats.
