The Luther Burbank Elementary School (or just the Burbank School,) is a former school building located at 15600 East State Fair Avenue in Detroit, Michigan. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2022. The school in a notable example of a Detroit Art Deco Public School.

The student body is 98.89% African American and 80% of students qualify for free/reduced price lunch. The student/teacher ratio is 25:1.Chandler Park Academy rates lower than most nearby public schools based on test scores according to greatschools.net, although their fall 2006 MEAP and National Merit scores were higher than the State of Michigan targets

St. Sabbas Orthodox Monastery is a male monastery of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia, located in Harper Woods, Michigan. St. Sabbas Monastery was founded in 1999 under Archimandrite Pachomy (Belkoff). St. Sabbas is directly under Metropolitan Hilarion (Kapral) of the Russian Orthodox Church Abroad and under Kyrill. The monastery is in Southeast Michigan on over 6 acres of land with a small but growing community of monastics. The monastery follows the patristic Julian calendar.

Notre Dame High School was a Catholic, all–male, non–residential college preparatory school in the Detroit suburb of Harper Woods, Michigan. It was closed in 2005, with 295 students, after more than 50 years due to budget concerns, according to the Archdiocese of Detroit. The school had about 300 students at the time of closure, down from almost 1000 during its peak enrollment levels. It was founded in 1954 and operated by the Marist Fathers and Brothers, and the first class graduated in 1958. Throughout its existence, the school was located next door to Regina High School, a Catholic, all–female school; and Lutheran High School East. Lutheran High School East closed in 2004 and Regina High School moved to Warren, Michigan in 2007.

Eaton Academy is a PreK-8 charter school in Eastpointe, Michigan.It is located in the former St. Veronica School building. Central Michigan University is Eaton's charter authorizer. As of 2011 90% of its students come from Detroit. During that time 86% of the students were at or below the U.S. federal government's poverty level, making Eaton a Title I school. It is much smaller than most area public schools. It is accredited by AdvancED.

Eastland Center was an enclosed shopping mall located in the city of Harper Woods, an inner-ring suburb of Detroit, Michigan, United States. Opened in 1957, the mall had been expanded several times since. K&G Fashion Superstore and Shoppers World were the final anchor stores, with four other vacant anchors left by Sears, Target, Burlington, and Macy's.

Harper Woods High School is a public high school in Harper Woods, Michigan in Metro Detroit. It is a part of the Harper Woods School District. Harper Woods High Schools was founded in 1951. The current facility, which housed both middle school and high school levels, opened circa 2007. It was scheduled to be used as a filming site for the 2012 film Red Dawn.As of 2014 the campus had fewer than 700 students in the middle and high school levels.Starting in the 2018–2019 school year only the high school was housed at this building, the Middle School relocating to space on the Triumph Church East Campus.

Eastpointe High School (formerly known as East Detroit High School) is a high school in Eastpointe, Michigan, United States. It serves students in grades 9–12 for the Eastpointe Community Schools district.

Eastpointe (formerly East Detroit) is a city in Macomb County in the U.S. state of Michigan. An inner-ring suburb of Detroit, Eastpointe borders Detroit to the north, roughly 11 miles (17.7 km) northeast of downtown Detroit. As of the 2020 census, the city had a population of 34,318.

The Edwin C. Denby High School is a public secondary education school located at 12800 Kelly Road in northeastern Detroit, Michigan. Denby High opened in 1930, and the building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005. It is a part of Detroit Public Schools Community District.

The Erin–Warren Fractional District No. 2 Schoolhouse, also known as the Halfway Schoolhouse, is a school building located at 15500 Nine Mile Road in Eastpointe, Michigan, United States. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001 and designated a Michigan State Historic Site in 1990.

Conner's Creek was an unincorporated community in Wayne County, Michigan. The area was first settled before 1800. It was originally named Trembly's Creek, after Joseph Trembly who was given 640 acres in the area where Fort Gratiot Road crossed the creek. He built a mill among other buildings in the area. Trembly's daughter Teresa married Richard Conner, and he came in possession of the land and the area was thus called Conner Creek.In 1832 a large number of Germans came to the area to avoid the cholera epidemic in Detroit. It was officially laid out as a village in 1853. A post office was established in 1855. In 1893 the area was renamed Greiner after Michael Greiner who owned much of the area. It returned to the name of Conner Creek in 1899.Some sources say it was located on Gratiot near 7 Mile Road. In 1917 the village voted to become part of the city of Detroit. At the time the population was in excess of 2,000.
