The Municipality of Sevnica (Slovene: Občina Sevnica) is a municipality along the Sava and the Mirna Rivers in southeastern Slovenia. The seat of the municipality is the town of Sevnica. Today it is part of the Lower Sava Statistical Region. It is the 12th-largest municipality by area in Slovenia.

Radna (pronounced [ˈɾaːdna]) is a settlement in the Municipality of Sevnica in east-central Slovenia. It lies at the confluence of the Mirna River and the Sava River in the historical region of Lower Carniola. The municipality is now included in the Lower Sava Statistical Region. The village was historically named Tariška vas. There is a large 17th-century mansion in the settlement.

Lukovec (pronounced [ˈluːkɔʋəts]) is a small settlement in the Municipality of Sevnica in east-central Slovenia. It lies above the right bank of the Sava River east of Boštanj. The local church is dedicated to Mary Magdalene and belongs to the Parish of Boštanj. It is originally a Romanesque building that was restyled in the Baroque in the 17th century and extended in 1888.

The Mirna is a river in southeastern Slovenia. The river is a right tributary of the Sava River in the province of Lower Carniola. It is 44 kilometers (27 mi) long, starts below the settlement of Velika Preska, flows through the Mirna Valley and joins the Sava at Dolenji Boštanj, opposite Sevnica. The largest settlement on the river is the town of Mirna. The river is traversed by the Sevnica–Trebnje Railway. The river was mentioned for the first time in 1028 in relation to a 1016 document by Henry II, Holy Roman Emperor. Mirna is the river in which the marathon swimmer Martin Strel first learned to swim.

It includes the hamlets of Rekštanj (German: Ruckenstein) and Zapuže.

Sevnica Castle is a Slovenian castle in the Lower Sava Valley. Situated atop a hill, it dominates the old town of Sevnica and offers views of the surrounding countryside.

It consists of a nucleated centre on two terraces on the right bank of the Sava River along the main road from Celje to Krško, and two hamlets, Puše and Redna, on the slopes of the nearby hills. It is the central settlement of the local community, the largest local community in the Municipality of Sevnica. The village has a post office, a fire station, a primary school, two shops, a gas station, two bars, a restaurant, and a cultural hall named the TVD Partizan Hall (Dom TVD Partizan). It is surrounded by fields and orchards.

It lies in the Sava Hills (Slovene: Posavsko hribovje) above the right bank of the Sava River in the historical region of Lower Carniola. The municipality is now included in the Lower Sava Statistical Region.
