Rathnavali Balika Vidyalaya (Sinhala: රත්නාවලී බාලිකා විද්‍යාලය), is a leading government Buddhist national school for girls in Gampaha, Sri Lanka. Students are admitted to grade six on the basis of results of The Scholarship Examination in Sri Lanka.

Holy Cross Church, Gampaha Sinhala: සිරි කුරුස දේවස්ථානය, ගම්පහ is a Roman Catholic church located in Gampaha, Sri Lanka. It was founded in 1916 as a parish church of the Archdiocese of Colombo. The church is nicknamed "Gal Palliya/ගල් පල්ලිය" meaning "Rock Church" since the church facade is encrusted with gneiss stone.

Bandaranayake College Gampaha (Sinhala: බණ්ඩාරනායක විද්‍යාලය ගම්පහ) is a leading Buddhist Boys' school in Gampaha, Sri Lanka, founded on 18 September 1918. The school has a student population exceeding 5,000 across 8 grades from grade 6 to advanced level classes, on a campus of 2.83 ha (7.0 acres). Boys are admitted at grade six, based on the results of an island-wide Scholarship Examination.

Gampaha railway station is a railway station in the western city of Gampaha in Sri Lanka. The station is served by Sri Lanka Railways, which is the state-run railway operator.

Yatawatte Purana Vihara (Sinhalaː යටවත්තේ පුරාණ විහාරය) (or Vidyaravinda Maha Pirivena) is an ancient Buddhist temple in Gampaha, Sri Lanka. It lies on Gampaha – Pahalagama main road, approximately 1 km (0.62 mi) away from the Gampaha town. The temple has been formally recognised by the Government as an archaeological site in Sri Lanka. The designation was declared on 15 April 2016 under the government Gazette number 1963.

Henarathgoda Botanical Garden, also known as Gampaha Botanical Garden, is one of the six botanical gardens in Sri Lanka. The botanical garden is situated on the Gampaha-Minuwangoda main road, approximately 450 m (1,480 ft) away from Gampaha railway station. It is about 29 km (18 mi) from Sri Lanka's commercial capital of Colombo.It was established in 1876 by the British to conduct experiments on exotic economic plants such as Rubber, and explore plant wealth and development of economy in the colony. The first imported rubber tree to Sri Lanka was first planted in this garden and it was the first seedlings of Brazilian rubber tree ever planted in Asia. The garden consists of a large variety of plants and many of them are from every corner of the tropical world it is expanding over 43 acres (0.17 km2) and situated next to the Attanagalu Oya and surrounded by paddy fields, a man-made green environment and a secondary forest as well laid out with many interesting sections, eye-catching landscaping and many shrubs, bushes and trees. This garden is a famous destination for youngsters.

Gampaha Divisional Secretariat is a Divisional Secretariat of Gampaha District, of Western Province, Sri Lanka.

Asgiriya Raja Maha Vihara (Sinhala: අස්ගිරිය රජ මහා විහාරය) is an ancient Cave temple situated in Gampaha District, Sri Lanka. The temple is located on top of a hillock on the Gampaha - Minuwangoda road and approximately 2 km (1.2 mi) away from Gampaha town. The temple has been formally recognised by the Government as an archaeological site in Sri Lanka. The designation was declared on 22 November 2002 under the government Gazette number 1264.

Asgiriwalpola (Sinhala: අස්ගිරිවල්පොල, Tamil: அஸ்கிரிவால்போலா) is a small village in Minuwangoda Divisional Secretariat of Gampaha District, Western Province, Sri Lanka.

Yakkala is a village located between Nittambuwa and Kadawatha on the A1 Highway (Colombo-Kandy Road). It forms part of Gampaha Municipal Council and located in the Gampaha District, Western Province. It is located 30 km (19 mi) from Colombo, 4.5 km (3 mi) east of Gampaha and 13 km (8 mi) north-west of Radawana. Yakkala is famous for the long-standing Ayurveda medicine family of Wickramaarachchi. Sri Saddharmagupta Piriven Vihara (Sinhala: ශ්‍රී සද්ධර්මගුප්ත පිරිවෙන් විහාරය) is an old Piriven Vihara in Dombawela, Sri Lanka. The temple is located on Udugampola – Divulapitiya road approximately 0.5 km (0.31 mi) away from the Udugampola Roundabout. The temple has been formally recognised by the Government as an archaeological protected monument in Sri Lanka.

The Gampaha Wickramarachchi Institute, which had been affiliated with the University of Kelaniya, was elevated to university status in 2021. The decision has been described by some commentators as primarily political rather than based on long-term planning or infrastructure development. In addition to programs in Ayurveda and Indigenous medicine, the university has introduced new degree programs in fields such as biomedical technology, health information and communication technology, and management. These expansions have drawn criticism from academic reviewers, who argue that such programs fall outside the scope of Indigenous medicine and may affect the recognition of the degrees. A five-member expert committee, including representatives of the University Grants Commission (UGC), reportedly recommended that the programs be transferred to more appropriate universities.
