Westwallbunker is a bunker and museum in Saarland, Germany, that was part of the Siegfried Line. The bunker was built in 1939.

The so-called Saardom (full name: "Ecclesia Parochialis Catholica Sacratissimi Sacramenti Dioecesis Treverensis", "Catholic Parish Church of the Blessed Sacrament in the Diocese of Trier") in Dillingen/Saar is one of the largest sacred buildings in Saarland. It is the parish church of the parish of St Sacrament. The parish belongs to the parish community of the Holy Sacrament, St John the Baptist in Dillingen, St Joseph and St Wendelin in Diefflen, St Maximin in Pachten, and St Mary consolation of the saddeneds (Consolatrix afflictorum) on the Pachtener Heide. The church belongs to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Trier. The feast of dedication is the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ. The church was built between 1910 and 1913 according to plans by the Trier church-architect Peter Marx (1871-1958), mainly in the Neo-Romanesque style. The prototypes of the Saardom include the towers of the Bamberg Cathedral, the towers of the cathedrals of Laon and Naumburg, and the facade of the Cathedral of Metz.

Altes Schloss (Dillingen) is a castle and museum in Dillingen, Saarland, Germany. The Old castle, like many castles, was originally a medieval castle, probably of the 14th century. It is leased to the town, which uses it for cultural purposes, among other things. A sponsoring association has supported the restoration of the castle since 1983.

Dillingen (also: Dillingen an der Saar) (French: Dillange) is a town in the district of Saarlouis, in Saarland. It has about 20,000 inhabitants and is divided into the three districts Dillingen-city center, Pachten and Diefflen. The city is located on the edge of the Saar-Hunsrück Nature Park at the mouth of the Prims in the Saar and is located about 10 km from the French border. Dillingen is located about 60 km from Luxembourg City and Trier, 50 km from Metz and 30 km from Saarbrücken and is directly adjacent to the urban area of Saarlouis. In terms of population, it is the second largest municipality in the district of Saarlouis. The Dillinger Hütte steelworks is located here.

Rehlingen-Siersburg is a municipality in the district of Saarlouis, in Saarland, Germany. It is situated on the river Saar, approx. 8 km northwest of Saarlouis, and 30 km northwest of Saarbrücken.

Beckingen (Saarlandic dialect: Beckinge) is a municipality in the Merzig-Wadern district in Saarland, Germany. It is situated on the river Saar, approximately 7 km southeast of Merzig and 30 km northwest of Saarbrücken. It was created on January 1, 1974 as part of the territorial and administrative reform of the villages Beckingen, Düppenweiler, Erbringen, Hargarten, Hausstadt, Honzrath, Oppen, Reimsbach and Saarfels.

Diefflen (pronounced: Dieflen, in the local, Moselle-Franconian dialect Dejfeln) is a district of Dillingen/Saar in the district of Saarlouis (Saarland) and has about 4700 inhabitants. It is located on the lower Prims, a tributary of the Saar. Since its foundation in the High Middle Ages Diefflen was historically linked to the villages of the former "Hochgericht Nalbacher Tal". This association was broken when Diefflen was incorporated into the city of Dillingen/Saar in 1969.

Saarlouis (Sarrelouis in French) is a Kreis (district) in the middle of the Saarland, Germany. Neighboring districts are Merzig-Wadern, Sankt Wendel, Neunkirchen, Saarbrücken, and the French département Moselle.

26th (Saarland) Airborne Brigade (German: Luftlandebrigade 26 "Saarland") is a formation in the Special Operations Division of the German Army with a strength of about 3,500 men and its brigade headquarters in Saarlouis. The Brigade is also called the Saarland Brigade as almost all its troops are stationed in the federal state of Saarland. Other elements are based in Rhineland-Palatinate. Most of the 26th Airborne Brigade belongs to the intervention forces of the Bundeswehr, and the formation therefore provides the overwhelming proportion of paratroopers and airborne troops for the intervention forces of the Army. The Brigade motto is: Einsatzbereit – jederzeit – weltweit ("Ready for action - anytime - worldwide"). The Brigade greeting is "Glück ab". The brigade was previously part of the 1st Airborne Division alongside the 25th and 27th Luftlande Brigades.
