Hermitage Museum (Bayreuth)

The old palace (German: das alte Schloß) is one of the two castles within the historic Hermitage Park to the east of the St. Johannis district of the German city of Bayreuth. The building should not be confused with the Old Palace in the city center.

Bindlach is a municipality in the district of Bayreuth in Upper Franconia in Bavaria, Germany. The town is adjacent immediately north of the town of Bayreuth. The population count of December 2006 was 7197 inhabitants.

The Ordenskirche St. Georgen or Sophienkirche is a church in the Sankt Georgen suburb of Bayreuth, a suburb which had been founded by George William, Margrave of Brandenburg-Bayreuth as hereditary prince of the Principality of Bayreuth. The church's foundation stone was laid in 1705. Stone was supplied from twenty nearby and distant quarries and in 1709 the church's outer shell was completed. As George William had hoped, the church was consecrated on the feast day of his name-saint George, 23 April 1711, though some work had to be carried out after consecration. Its first name derived from its dedication to Hagia Sophia, referencing the name of George William's wife Sophia. Its second name derives from the fact that it was the church for the Ordre de la Sincérité and its successor the Order of the Red Eagle.

Bindlach station is a railway station in the municipality of Bindlach, located in the district of Bayreuth in Upper Franconia, Germany.

The Hans-Walter-Wild-Stadion is a multi-purpose stadium in Bayreuth, Germany. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of SpVgg Bayreuth. The stadium is able to hold 21,500 people. The stadium opened in 1967 and was named after then-mayor Hans Walter Wild, who was the city's longest-serving Lord Mayor (Oberbürgermeister), serving a total of 30 years from 1958 to 1988. Pop superstar Michael Jackson performed during his Dangerous World Tour on September 2, 1992 in front of 32,000 people.

Bayreuth Airport (IATA: BYU, ICAO: EDQD), also called Verkehrslandeplatz Bayreuth in German, is a general-aviation non-towered airport serving the city of Bayreuth, Germany. It was formerly known as Bindlacher Berg Airport.

The Oberfrankenhalle is a multi-purpose indoor sporting arena that is located in Bayreuth, Germany. It is a part of the Bayreuth Sports Park, which also includes the Hans-Walter-Wild-Stadion football stadium, an ice rink, and an indoor pool. The arena is mainly used to host basketball, handball, and volleyball games, boxing matches, concerts and congresses. The seating capacity of the arena for basketball games is 4,000.

The Graf-Münster-Gymnasium is the largest high school in Bayreuth. The school currently has 1400 students and was founded in 1833. The school was named after Count (Graf) Georg zu Münster (1776–1844), a local paleontologist.

Städtisches Kunsteisstadion is an arena in Bayreuth, Germany. It is primarily used for ice hockey. Kunsteisstadion opened in 1976 and holds 4,730 people.

Upper Franconia (German: Oberfranken) is a Regierungsbezirk (administrative [Regierungs] region [bezirk]) of the state of Bavaria, southern Germany. It forms part of the historically significant region of Franconia, the others being Middle Franconia and Lower Franconia, which are all now part of the German Federal State of Bayern (Bavaria). With more than 200 independent breweries which brew approximately 1000 different types of beer, Upper Franconia has the world's highest brewery-density per capita. A special Franconian beer route (Fränkische Brauereistraße) runs through many popular breweries.
