Buriton

Ditcham is a hamlet in the East Hampshire district of Hampshire, England. The hamlet lies on the Hampshire-West Sussex border. Its nearest town is Petersfield, which lies approximately 3.5 miles (5.9 km) north from the hamlet. Ditcham is in the Buriton and East Meon ward of East Hampshire Council and the Petersfield Butser division of Hampshire County Council.

Buriton Chalk Pit is a 5.7-hectare (14-acre) Local Nature Reserve near Buriton in Hampshire. It is owned by East Hampshire District Council and managed by Hampshire Countryside Service.This former chalk quarry was worked up to the end of World War II and it still has large heaps of spoil. It has gradually developed into a rich habitat with chalk loving plants. Many paths follow the routes of narrow gauge railway lines which were used to move chalk and lime.

Head Down is one of the highest points in the county of Hampshire, England, and in the South Downs, rising to 205 metres (673 ft) above sea level. The tree-covered Head Down rises about 1 kilometre south of the village of Buriton in Hampshire. It lies within the eastern part of the Queen Elizabeth Country Park and is described as "an area that caters for clubs that require land with privacy for outdoor recreational activities, such as archery or off-road vehicles."

Coulters Dean is a 2.2-hectare (5.4-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest south-east of Buriton in Hampshire. It is part of the 4-hectare (9.9-acre) Coulters Dean nature reserve, which is managed by the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust.This is chalk grassland on a west facing slope of the South Downs. It has a rich flora and invertebrate fauna, which has been recorded periodically since 1914. Flowering plants include horseshoe vetch, rampion, clustered bellflower and at least eleven species of orchid.

At 244 metres (801 ft), War Down is one of the highest hills in the county of Hampshire, England and the second highest summit in the Hampshire part of the South Downs. Just 1 kilometre to the northwest is the South Downs' highest point at Butser Hill (270 m). Much of the hill is covered in mixed forest and there is a trig point at 244 metres. There is a forest track over the summit. It is located in the Queen Elizabeth Country Park.

Oakham Hill is one of the highest points in the county of Hampshire, England, and in the South Downs, rising to 202 metres (663 ft) above sea level. Oakham Hill rises about 1 kilometre southeast of the village of Buriton in Hampshire and just a few hundred metres east of the county boundary with West Sussex. Just to the west are the summits of Head Down (205 m), War Down (244 m) and the highest point in the South Downs, Butser Hill (270 m), in the heart of the Queen Elizabeth Country Park. On the southern spur of Oakham Hill is Ditcham Park School, a private educational establishment. Oakham Hill is also the site of the British Schools’ Cycling Association's National Hill Climb Time Trial, which in 2013 attracted one hundred and sixty competitors between the ages of 5 and 16, 34 of which were also pupils of Ditcham Park School.

Weston is a hamlet in the East Hampshire district of Hampshire, England. It is in the civil parish of Buriton. It is 1.4 miles (2.3 km) southwest of Petersfield. The nearest railway station is Petersfield, 1.4 miles (2.3 km) northeast of the village.

The Petersfield School (TPS) is located in Petersfield, Hampshire, in southern England. The school opened on 20 June 1958 and remains the only state-funded secondary school in Petersfield. It received Arts College status in September 2004, and became an academy in July 2011.

St Peter's Church is the Anglican parish church in Petersfield, Hampshire, England. It is within the Diocese of Portsmouth. The ancient church, a Grade I listed building, is located in the centre of the town, on the south side of the Square. The architect Nikolaus Pevsner described it as "one of the most interesting churches in Hampshire",
