Southend, Berkshire

Bradfield Hall is an English country house. It is a historic Grade II* listed building. The house is located southwest of Bradfield, Berkshire in the hamlet of Rotten Row.

Tutts Clump is a small hamlet in the civil parish of Bradfield in the English county of Berkshire. It is 8 mi (13 km) from the centre of Reading. It lies about 1 mi (1.6 km) south-east of Stanford Dingley, close to the neighbouring villages of Bradfield Southend and Rotten Row. Legend has it that the name is derived from that of an English Civil War general. There is a Methodist chapel in the hamlet. The local post office closed in 1983.

Bradfield was a rural district in Berkshire, England, from 1894 to 1974.It was created under the Local Government Act 1894 from the Bradfield rural sanitary district, except the three parishes in Oxfordshire which formed the Goring Rural District. The district contained the following civil parishes during its existence: In 1974 Bradfield Rural District merged with other districts to form a new Newbury district of Berkshire under the Local Government Act 1972. Since 1998 this has been the West Berkshire unitary authority.

Reading West and Mid Berkshire, originally known as simply Mid Berkshire, is a constituency in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament. It was formed as a result of the 2023 Periodic Review of Westminster constituencies and subsumes parts of the Newbury, Wokingham, and the former Reading West constituencies. It was first contested at the 2024 general election. The current MP is Olivia Bailey. Some 30% of the constituency's voters live in the Borough of Reading, with the remainder living in the West Berkshire local government area.

Beenham is a village and civil parish centred 6 miles (9.7 km) east of Newbury in the West Berkshire district of Berkshire, England.

Bradfield is a village and civil parish in Berkshire, England. Aside from farms and a smaller amount of woodland its main settlements are Bradfield Southend, its medieval-founded nucleus and the hamlet of Tutts Clump. Bradfield village is the home of the public school Bradfield College.

Bradfield College, formally St Andrew's College, Bradfield, is a public school (English fee-charging boarding and day school) for pupils aged 13–18, located in the small village of Bradfield in the English county of Berkshire. It is noted for its open-air Greek theatre and its triennial Greek Play. The school is a member of the Rugby Group, which also includes Rugby, Harrow, Shrewsbury, Wellington College and Charterhouse. The college was founded in 1850 by Thomas Stevens, Rector and Lord of the Manor of Bradfield. It has around 490 male and 320 female pupils.

Old Copse, Beenham is an 8-hectare (20-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest south of Beenham in Berkshire. The site is private land with no public access.

Lower Padworth is a hamlet in Berkshire, and part of the civil parishes of Padworth, Aldermaston and Beenham. According to the Post Office at the 2011 Census the majority of the population was included in the civil parish of Padworth. The settlement lies on the A4 road, and is located near to Aldermaston railway station.

Stanford Dingley is a small village and civil parish in West Berkshire, England, between Newbury and Theale.

Towney Lock is a lock on the Kennet and Avon Canal, between Aldermaston Wharf and Sulhamstead, Berkshire, England. Towney Lock was built between 1718 and 1723 under the supervision of the engineer John Hore of Newbury. The canal is administered by the Canal & River Trust. The lock has a change in level of 9 ft 8 in (2.95 m).The lock was deepened during restoration work in the 1970s when Ufton Lock was removed.

King's Copse is a 13.7-hectare (34-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest between Chapel Row and Clay Hill in Berkshire. It is in the North Wessex Downs, which is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The site is private land but a public footpath runs through it.
