National Institute of Homeopathy (NIH) is an autonomous organisation under the Ministry of Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy (AYUSH), Government of India. It conducts the BHMS, MD (Homeopathy) and PhD (Homeopathy) courses in Homeopathy. The institute has a 250-bed hospital, with 10 for surgery and 10 for maternity cases.

S. N. Bose National Centre for Basic Sciences (SNBNCBS) is an autonomous research institute dedicated to basic research in mathematics sciences under the Department of Science and Technology of Government of India. It is located in West Bengal, Salt Lake, Kolkata. This institute was named after the Indian scientist Satyendra Nath Bose and established in 1986. Chanchal Kumar Majumdar was the founder director of this institute.As this is a research institute, mainly Ph.D. program is done here. From 2001 Integrated Ph.D. (M.Sc.+Ph.D.) program was started. After completion of two years of study, a M.Sc. degree is given by University of Calcutta. Formerly, this degree was given by West Bengal University of Technology. Students of this institute can submit their Ph.D. thesis to Jadavpur University, the University of Calcutta, West Bengal University of Technology or any other university which allows students to do so.

The Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Institute of Asian Studies is an autonomous research institute based in Kolkata. It is funded by the Ministry of Culture of the Government of India. It was founded on 4 January 1993. The foundation stone of the institute was laid where the new building now stands on 12 March 1993. It is devoted to the study of the life and works of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, the eminent nationalist leader and India's first education minister, after whom it is named, and to the furtherance of Area Studies, with special reference to South Asia, Central Asia and West Asia, especially dealing with social, cultural, economic, political and administrative developments in Asia from the nineteenth century to the present. M.Phil.- and Ph.D.-level students of the University of Calcutta, Jadavpur University and Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi are also associated with it.

Nicco Park is an amusement park located in Jheel Meel, Sector - IV of Bidhannagar, West Bengal, India. The park was created to attract tourists to the state by providing family-friendly recreation as well as educative entertainment. Nicco Park opened on 13 October 1991 and has since been referred to as the Disneyland of West Bengal. Presently, the 40 acre park is home to over 35 different attractions and has served over 24 million customers. Nicco Park also provides a "green" environment.

Bidhannagar is a planned urban agglomeration in the Indian state of West Bengal, and a satellite township of Kolkata. It falls in Greater Kolkata region and currently falls under the administration of the Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation. The Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan (VYBK; transl. Vivekananda Indian Youth Stadium), commonly known as the Salt Lake Stadium, is an all-seater multi-purpose stadium located in Salt Lake City, Kolkata, with current capacity of 68,000 spectators. Named after Swami Vivekananda, the stadium is the home ground for multiple football clubs, most notably Mohun Bagan, East Bengal and Mohammedan. It was the fifth largest sports stadium in Asia by seating capacity. Prior to undergoing renovations in 2011, it had a seating capacity of 120,000. Prior to the construction and opening of Rungrado May Day Stadium in 1989, it was the largest football stadium in the world. The stadium hosted the final match of the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup, alongside other matches of the tournament. As part of security measures for the 2017 U-17 World Cup, the stadium was only open for 66,687 viewers.The stadium's record attendance was recorded in 1997 when 134,000 spectators watched the Federation Cup semifinal between East Bengal and Mohun Bagan.The stadium switched back to natural grass from artificial turf as part of the preparations for hosting the U-17 World Cup. The new turf was unveiled in a Kolkata Derby match between East Bengal and Mohun Bagan during the 2016 Calcutta Premier Division match.

National Council of Science Museums (NCSM) is an autonomous scientific organization functioning under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India for science communication through its network of science museums or science centres spread across India. It is the largest chain of science centers/museums under a single administrative umbrella in the world. There are 24 own science centers or museums and one R & D laboratory and training centre. The NCSM has been built to co-ordinate all informal science communication activities in the museum space in the country.
