Joplin High School

St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church and Rectory is a historic Roman Catholic church and rectory located at 812 Pearl Street in Joplin, Jasper County, Missouri. The church was built in 1906, and is a Late Gothic Revival style building constructed of Carthage limestone. It measures 63 feet, 6 inches, by 122 feet, 8 inches and features circular windows; tracery; Gothic arched windows and doors; and the triple portal entry. The rectory was built in 1917, and is a two-story Prairie School style dwelling with a finished basement. It is constructed of Carthage limestone and has a low pitched, hipped roof with wide overhang. Also on the property is a contributing concrete block garage.: 5–7 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991 as a national historic district.

Rains Brothers Building, also known as Miner's Hardware Company and Roosevelt Hotel, was a historic commercial building located at Joplin, Jasper County, Missouri. It was built in 1900–1901, and was a three-story, three-bay, two-part commercial building with Renaissance Revival style detailing.: 2  It was destroyed by fire on March 1, 2012.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990. It was located in the Main and Eighth Streets Historic District.

Midway was a former village located in northern Newton County, Missouri. It was completely surrounded by the city of Joplin except for the east side where it shared city limits with Sunnyvale. Both it and Sunnyvale have now merged with the city of Joplin. It was located on the south side of 32nd Street (Missouri Supplemental Route FF).

Inter-State Grocer Company Building, also known as Bagcraft Building, is a historic factory and warehouse located at Joplin, Jasper County, Missouri. It was built in 1915, and is a five-story fireproof wholesale distribution and food processing building constructed of reinforced concrete with tapestry brick cladding and terra cotta ornamentation. Also on the property is a contributing one-story brick garage (c. 1920).: 5 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2008.The building, now known as the Gryphon Building, was completely renovated in 2010 and is now used as a multi-tenant office space.

Main and Eighth Streets Historic District is a national historic district located at Joplin, Jasper County, Missouri. The district encompasses 20 contributing buildings in the central business district of Joplin. It developed between about 1891 and 1929 and includes representative examples of Renaissance Revival and Colonial Revival style architecture. Located in the district is the previously listed Rains Brothers Building. Other notable buildings include the Marquette Hotel (c. 1916), Willard Hotel (c. 1901), Muir Block (1891), Stevens Hotel / Scottish Rite Temple (1899), and Hotel Blende (1899).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2011.

The Joplin Carnegie Library is a historic Carnegie library located at Joplin, Jasper County, Missouri. It was built in 1902, and is a two-story, Classical Revival style steel frame building sheathed in brick and white Carthage marble. It measures 79 feet by 86 feet and features a pedimented Ionic order porch which is distyle in antis. A four-bay two story addition was added in 1916. Andrew Carnegie provided $40,000 for its construction.: 2, 7 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

McAuley Catholic High School is a private, parochial school in Joplin, Missouri. It is located in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Springfield-Cape Girardeau. It is a regional high school serving Joplin and the surrounding communities. McAuley is a 4 year high school with an enrollment of approximately 70 students. It is accredited by the Missouri Association for Accreditation of Non-Public Schools.

Joplin Furniture Company Building is a historic commercial building located at Joplin, Jasper County, Missouri. The two original buildings were constructed in 1899 and 1906, and subsequently expanded and combined in 1908 and 1923. The resulting building is a four-story bearing wall brick masonry building in the Classical Revival style. The Joplin Furniture Company operated continuously at this location from 1908 to 1982.: 5, 9 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2012.

Joplin is a city in Jasper and Newton counties in the southwestern corner of the U.S. state of Missouri. The bulk of the city is in Jasper County, while the southern portion is in Newton County. Joplin is the largest city located within both Jasper and Newton Counties – even though it is not the county seat of either county (Carthage is the seat of Jasper County while Neosho is the seat of Newton County). With a population of 51,762 as of the 2020 census, Joplin is the 13th most-populous city in the state. The city covers an area of 35.69 square miles (92.41 km2) on the outer edge of the Ozark Mountains. Joplin is the main hub of the three-county Joplin-Miami, Missouri-Oklahoma Metro area, which is home to 210,077 people making it the 5th largest metropolitan area in Missouri. In May 2011, a violent EF5 tornado killed more than 150 people and destroyed one-third of the city.

The Newman Brothers Building is a former commercial building in Joplin, Missouri. The building was the home of Newman's Department Store from 1910 to 1972. In 1990, the building was entered into the National Register of Historic Places. After going through several owners, the building is now occupied by Joplin city offices. It is located in the Joplin Downtown Historic District.

St. Louis and San Francisco Railroad Building, also known as the Frisco Building, is a historic train station and office building located at Joplin, Jasper County, Missouri. It was built in 1913 for the St. Louis and San Francisco Railroad, and is a nine-story, L-shaped, brick-and-stone-trimmed building with a decorative cornice. It measures approximately 101 feet by 127 feet and has a two-part vertical block form.: 5 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002. It is located in the Joplin Downtown Historic District.

The Bonnie and Clyde Garage Apartment is located at 3347+1⁄2 Oak Ridge Drive in Joplin, Newton County, Missouri. Its front door opens onto 34th Street. It was built about 1927, and is a two-story building on a poured concrete foundation. It has a gently pitched hipped roof and exposed rafter ends in the American Craftsman style.
