Henderson Hall Historic District is a National Register of Historic Places (NRHP)-listed historic district in Boaz, Wood County, West Virginia. The primary contributing property is Henderson Hall, a home in the Italianate style from the first half of the 19th century. Other residences at the site are a tenant house from the end of the 19th century, and "Woodhaven", the 1877 home of Henry Clay Henderson. Additional structures include a smokehouse, two corn cribs, a carriage barn that also served as a schoolhouse, a scale house used for storing agricultural equipment, and two barns. Also included within the district are the 19th-century Henderson family cemetery, a wall, a mounting block, and three mounds associated with the pre-Columbian Adena culture. Henderson Hall was a significant plantation before the American Civil War, and the farm's local significance lasted until about 1935. The Hendersons, who developed the farm, lived at the site until 1984, when cousin of the family Michael Rolston became the owner. On April 17, 1986, Henderson Hall was listed on the NRHP. Now used a museum, the home contains a sizable collection of historic items. Historically, the farm was associated with the name Pohick.

Since 1995, a site on Muskingum Island has been used as a pulse-point for the native mussel population health in the Ohio River Islands National Wildlife Refuge which the island is a part.

Tomlinson Mansion

Tomlinson Mansion is a historic home located at Williamstown, Wood County, West Virginia. It was built in 1839, and is a two-story, L-shaped brick building with a slate-covered gable roof. The front facade features a small, pediment-like roof above the front door that is supported by four rectangular columns. It is the oldest home in Williamstown and its most notable guest was John James Audubon, who stayed at the Tomlinson Mansion while collecting material on the bluebird and other birds native to the area.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.

Harmar, Marietta

Harmar is a historic neighborhood in the city of Marietta, Ohio, United States. Located at the western side of the confluence of the Muskingum and Ohio Rivers, it grew up around the early Fort Harmar in the 1780s, being settled in conjunction with Marietta. After a period of forming part of Marietta, it existed separately beginning in 1837 before rejoining the mother city in 1890. Connected by bridge to the rest of the city, it retains much of its nineteenth-century architecture and landscape, and most of the neighborhood is now a historic district on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Anchorage (Marietta, Ohio)

The Anchorage is a historical home in the Harmar neighborhood of Marietta, Ohio, United States. Also known as the Putnam Villa, it was built in 1859 by Douglas Putnam for his wife Eliza. Douglas was the great grandson of General Israel Putnam. Douglas' brother, David Putnam, Jr. was the leading abolitionist in Marietta. David was said to frequent the home, leading to the belief the home was used as part of the Underground Railroad although no evidence has been uncovered.In 1894, the Knox family bought the house from the Putnams. The Knox family was involved in boat building and gave the home the name of The Anchorage. From 1960 to 1986 the house was a nursing home. Since 1996, the home has been owned by the Washington County Historical Society.
