MF Norwegian School of Theology, Religion and Society (Norwegian: MF vitenskapelig høyskole for teologi, religion og samfunn), formerly the Free Faculty of Theology (Norwegian: Det teologiske menighetsfakultet) and MF Norwegian School of Theology, is an accredited Norwegian specialized university focused on theology, religion, education and social studies, located in Oslo, Norway. It is one of three private specialized universities in Norway, alongside VID and BI.

The Norwegian Academy of Music (Norwegian: Norges musikkhøgskole, NMH) is a university-level music conservatory located in Oslo, Norway, in the neighbourhood of Majorstuen, Frogner. It is the largest music academy in Norway and offers the country's highest level of music education. As a specialized university (vitenskapelig høgskole), it offers both undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Throughout the years the Academy has educated many of Norway's most renowned musicians. The Norwegian Academy of Music educates performers, composers and pedagogues, and attempts to lay the foundation for research within various fields of music. It educates musicians within folk music genres, church music, classical music and, quite notably in later years, a string of successful performers within the jazz realm. The Academy is also Oslo's biggest concert organizer, presenting approximately 300 concerts a year. As is the case with all schools in the Norwegian educational system, the school is free of charge. Students can only be accepted by auditioning and/or other verifiable qualifications.

The Norwegian Police University College (Norwegian: Politihøgskolen; PHS) is a public university college located in Oslo, Kongsvinger, Stavern and Bodø, Norway. It offers education for the police force of Norway, including a three-year basic education and four Master's degrees. 552 students were accepted at the Bachelor level in 2019 from 4,063 applicants. The university college also conducts research in relevant areas including law, police science, criminology, psychology and sociology. It is owned by the Norwegian Ministry of Justice and the Police.

The Colosseum Kino in Oslo, Norway is the largest cinema in Northern Europe and the largest THX cinema in the world. It is distinguished by its large spherical dome.

Frøen is a rapid transit station of the Oslo Metro's Holmenkollen Line and previously also the Sognsvann Line. It is situated Frøen neighborhood of the Oslo, Norway, borough of Vestre Aker. Located 3.2 kilometers (2.0 mi) from Stortinget, the station is served by Line 1 of the metro every fifteen minutes. Travel time to Stortinget is six minutes. Diakonhjemmet Hospital falls within the station's catchment area. The initial station opened on 31 May 1898. With the construction of the Sognsvann Line, Frøen became both a stop on it as well as the interchange between the two lines. It therefore received four separate platforms at three different elevations. It served trains on the Sognsvann Line from 10 October 1934 until 1992. Frøen received a slight upgrade in 2010. However, Ruter plans to close it down and replace it and Steinerud with a new station.

Blindern is the main campus of the University of Oslo, located in Nordre Aker in Oslo, Norway.

Oslo Tramway Museum (Norwegian: Sporveismuseet is a railway museum located at Majorstuen in Oslo, Norway. It is dedicated to the preservation of the Oslo Tramway, Oslo T-bane, Oslo trolleybus and buses used in Oslo. The museum is run by the non-profit organization Lokaltrafikkhistorisk Forening with 645 members (2019). The museum also operates a heritage tramway in Vinterbro outside Oslo.Lokaltrafikkhistorisk Forening was founded in 1966, six years after the city council had decided to close down the tramway and trolleybus. This followed the closing of the Bergen Tramway, where only a single tram had been kept. As of 2004, the museum had 56 rail vehicles, 31 buses and seven other vehicles. This included four trolleybuses.

Seatower is a Norwegian provider of foundations for Offshore wind power. The company, with roots from the offshore oil and gas industry back to 1994, has its headquarters in Oslo and an office in Glasgow. Seatower is considered market leader within GBS for offshore wind.Seatower's main products are the Cranefree foundations. In February 2015 Seatower installed the first Cranefree foundation at the Fécamp offshore wind farm site in the British Channel. The customer was DONG Energy A/S and EDF EN owning the site.

Majorstuen is a particularly affluent neighbourhood in the Frogner borough in the inner part of Oslo, Norway. Majorstuen is known for its vibrant downtown and especially its shopping area. The area has several elegant townhouses c. 1880–1890. The area is also an important public transport junction in Oslo, where all metro lines, three tram lines and five bus lines operate. It is served by Majorstuen station.

The Broadcasting House (in Norwegian, Kringkastingshuset) is the oldest building of the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation headquarters. Also known as the "Radio House" (Radiohuset) or the "White House" (Det hvite hus), it is situated in the Marienlyst area of the borough of St. Hanshaugen in Oslo, Norway. The other main building is known as the Television House.It was built between 1938 and 1950 after plans by architects Nils Holter (1899-1995) and Ole Øvergaard (1893–1972).

NRK, an abbreviation of the Norwegian Norsk Rikskringkasting AS, generally expressed in English as the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation, is the Norwegian government-owned radio and television public broadcasting company, and the largest media organisation in Norway. All other TV channels, broadcast from Norway, were banned between 1960 and 1981. NRK broadcasts three national TV channels and thirteen national radio channels on digital terrestrial television, digital terrestrial radio and subscription television. All NRK radio stations are streamed online at NRK.no, which also offers an extensive TV service. NRK is a founding member of the European Broadcasting Union.

Valkyrie plass is a square in Oslo, Norway, located one block southeast of Majorstuen. The square is triangular in shape, and bounded by the streets Valkyriegata, Bogstadveien and Jacob Aall's gate. It is named after Norse female warrior deities called the valkyries.The Common Tunnel of the Oslo T-bane system passes beneath Valkyrie plass, and there was a station beneath the square from 1912 to 1985. The station was built there due to a tunnel collapse when 800 cubic metres of rock fell into the tunnel under construction. On 7 January 1985 the station, which was very close to Majorstuen station was closed. The square is still served by the Oslo Tramway with two tram lines.
