Granby, Quebec

La Haute-Yamaska (meaning The Upper Yamaska) is a regional county municipality in the Estrie region of Quebec, Canada. Its seat is Granby. It is named for its position at the height of the Yamaska River, which cuts through its southern part. It rises at Brome Lake located in neighbouring Brome-Missisquoi Regional County Municipality. On January 1, 2010, the city of Bromont left La Haute-Yamaska; it was reclassified to the Brome-Missisquoi RCM.In 2021, it was transferred to the Estrie region from Montérégie.

The Cégep de Granby is part of Quebec's CEGEP junior college network. It is located in the city of Granby. Almost 1800 students attend classes there full-time.

Granby is a provincial electoral district in the Montérégie region of Quebec, Canada that elects members of the National Assembly of Quebec. Its territory corresponds exactly to the city of Granby. It was created for the 2012 election from part of the former Shefford electoral district.

The Club de Tennis des Loisirs de Granby is a prominent tennis venue in Granby, Quebec, Canada. It annually hosts the Granby Challenger tournament and has hosted a Davis Cup tie. The club hosted July, 2006 Americas Group 1 first round play-offs Davis Cup tie against Venezuela, which Canada won 3-2.

The Centre sportif Léonard-Grondin (historically known as the Aréna Léonard-Grondin and Palais des sports) is the main sport venue and the main arena in Granby, Quebec. It was once host to the Granby Bisons and Granby Prédateurs QMJHL teams. It is currently home of the Granby Inouk of the Quebec Junior Hockey League. The arena was built in 1968 and seats 2,385 people. In 2010–2011, the arena was renovated and enlarged and transformed into a more modern sports venue. It now has three ice rinks and other equipment.

The Township of Granby (French: Canton de Granby) was a township municipality in south-central Quebec, Canada in the La Haute-Yamaska Regional County Municipality. Its territory comprised the northern and western sections of the present-day City of Granby. In 2006, citizens of the City of Granby and the Township of Granby voted in referendum for the township to merge into the City of Granby. The Granby Zoo (French: Le Zoo de Granby) is a zoo in Granby, Quebec and is one of Quebec's major tourist attractions. It was founded in 1953 by the mayor of Granby at the time, Pierre-Horace Boivin. There are currently more than 1,800 different animals grouped into more than 200 species. The zoo has 516,000 visitors per year and contains animals from Africa, Asia, South America, and Oceania. Adjacent to the zoo is the Amazoo water park. The zoo also has an amusement park called "Parc Johnny Test Collection" which is named after the Johnny Test animated television series.

Galeries de Granby is a regional shopping mall in Granby, Quebec, Canada. It opened in 1974 and was enlarged in 1980 and 2001. It has 96 stores and its floor area is 497,652 sq ft (46,233.4 m2).

InterGolf Disc Golf Course is a 9-hole disc golf course located at the Centre InterGolf in Granby, Quebec, Canada. The course is set on a low traffic 9-hole ball golf course. It was designed by Peter Lizotte in 2011.

Roxton Pond is a municipality in the Canadian province of Quebec, located within La Haute-Yamaska Regional County Municipality. The population as of the 2021 Canadian Census was 4,224. The municipality was created in 1997 with the merger of the Parish and the Village of Roxton Pond.

Saint-Alphonse-de-Granby is a municipality in the Canadian province of Quebec, located within La Haute-Yamaska Regional County Municipality. The population as of the 2011 Canadian Census was 3,125. Before October 25, 2008 it was known simply as Saint-Alphonse.
