Friedensville is an unincorporated community which is located in Upper Saucon Township in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania. The community's name is derived from the German: Friedenskirche, "Church of peace". Zinc mining was once a key industry in the area.

In the third round, Kerr shot 72 (+1) for 211 (−2) and kept the lead, two strokes up on the field after 54 holes.Ji won the championship after sinking a 20-foot (6 m) birdie putt on the 72nd hole to finish with an even-par 71 and 284, one stroke ahead of runner-up Kung. Ji held off the challenge of playing partner and third-round leader Cristie Kerr, who was chasing a second Open title but carded a 75 (+4) and finished two strokes back.

Gauff Hill is located at the head of a valley between arms of South Mountain to the north and south and is separated from the Lehigh River by the former. The East Branch Trout Creek starts just east of the village and flows west to join the South Branch in Allentown to become the Trout Creek, a tributary of the Lehigh River. The Lehigh Valley Silk Mills were a collection of mills located in the Lehigh Valley region of eastern Pennsylvania in the 19th and 20th centuries. The industry began in 1881 and thrived throughout the Second Industrial Revolution. The Lehigh Valley Silk Mills also refers to a specific company that owned the Lipps & Sutton Silk Mill and Warren Mill. The first silk mill in the Lehigh Valley opened in 1881 and was followed by the opening of many others. By 1900, there were twenty-three silk establishments in the Lehigh Valley, making Pennsylvania the second largest producer of silk in the world. The silk industry in Pennsylvania peaked in the late 1920s due to cheap labor, mainly from immigrant workers' children and wives. However, after the Great Depression, increasing labor unrest and competition from other textile industries began to affect the silk industry locally and nationally. By 1953, Allentown had become the number one silk city in the world, but even then, the number of looms had decreased. At the time, only six mills continued to work with silk exclusively. Other mills either shut down due to bankruptcy or shifted to the production synthetic fibers.

DeSales University (DSU) is a private Catholic university in Center Valley, Pennsylvania.
