The Hofje van Willem Heythuijsen is a hofje in Haarlem, Netherlands. It was founded in 1650 by the testament of Willem van Heythuysen (sometimes spelled Heijthuijsen) on the site of his summer residence outside the city walls of Haarlem on land that was considered Heemstede property until it was annexed in 1927. It is one of the few hofjes of Haarlem to be built outside the city walls. It has a 'T' shape and has a small open courtyard and a garden still intact.

The Doopsgezinde Weeshuis is a former orphanage in Haarlem. The complex was designed by A. van der Linden to replace the old orphanage located at the Klein Heiligland 58, which had been in use since 1634.

The Frans Hals Museum is a museum located in Haarlem, the Netherlands. The museum was established in 1862. In 1950, the museum was split in two locations when the collection of modern art was moved to the Museum De Hallen (since 2018 called Hal). The main collection, including its famous 17th-century Frans Hals paintings, for which the museum is named, is located in the former Oude Mannenhuis on the Groot Heiligland. The museum was founded in 1862 in the newly renovated former Dominican church cloisters located in the back of the Haarlem city hall known as the Prinsenhof, and when it needed more space, it moved to the recently vacated location of the town orphanage in 1913. The collection is based on the large number of paintings owned by the City of Haarlem, which includes over 100 artworks seized from Catholic churches in the 1580s after the Protestant Reformation, and Haarlem art rescued from demolished local buildings from the 15th century onwards. In 2018 the museum re-merged with Museum De Hallen to form a single museum called the Frans Hals Museum with two locations: Hof (located on Groot Heiligland) and Hal (located on Grote Markt).

The Proveniershuis is a hofje and former schutterij on the Grote Houtstraat in Haarlem, Netherlands. The complex of buildings surrounds a rectangular garden taking up a city block that is on the Haarlem hofje route. Unlike hofjes that were meant for poor elderly women, the homes around this courtyard are much larger, and the garden itself is about twice the normal size. The reason is that these inhabitants were men who actually paid rent to live there, as opposed to hofje inhabitants who had no income to spend on rent. Most hofjes were for women, because they were able to run their own modest household, usually as a member of a "hofje team" in various responsible roles. Men were generally less able to take care of themselves and were thus dependent on the "preuves" in the form of simple meals and services that were paid for from rents.

The Vrouwe- en Antonie Gasthuis is a hofje on the Klein Heiligland 64a in Haarlem, Netherlands. It is open on weekdays from 10-17.00.

The St. Elisabeth Gasthuis (EG) is a former hospital complex of buildings founded in 1581 in Haarlem on the Gasthuisvest. The last location of the hospital on the Boerhaavelaan retains its hospital function and is part of the Spaarne Gasthuis (SG) today, formerly known as Kennemer Gasthuis (KG). The hospital complex on the Gasthuisvest was built for the "Minnebroers" monastery and was reclaimed after the Protestant reformation in 1581 and given by the city council to the hospital. As a hospital during four centuries, the complex underwent many major renovations. The main facade dates from 1871.

The Nieuwe Kerk is a historical Protestant Reformed church dating from the 17th century on the Nieuwe Kerksplein in Haarlem, Netherlands.

Elisabeth Gasthuis Poort (Dutch: Poortje Elisabetsgasthuis) is the address of a doorway in Haarlem. The neo-classical stone doorway is dated 1767 in roman numerals, and the gable stone set into it from 1612 was repainted in 2017. The entire doorway is part of the Elisabeth Gasthuis complex and has itself been declared one of the national monuments of The Netherlands. This doorway originally led to the small public garden called the Elisabeth Gasthuis tuin with an entrance to the old regent rooms. Hospital expansion over the centuries has resulted in this doorway now opening onto a large stairwell as part of the larger hospital complex. Today no longer a hospital, the various parts of the old complex are used mostly for educational purposes and residential apartments. There still is a small garden in the middle of the complex however, and another gate still leads to that garden from the other side of the block. Like other parts of the old St. Elisabeth Gasthuis complex, this door also bears the coat of arms of Haarlem with that of Elizabeth of Hungary (the three crowns). The gable stone tells the history of the hospital. On the left a monk peeks at the viewer, symbolizing one of the monks who were driven away from this place in the 1580s when it was still the minderbroedersklooster. Next on the left are the nuns of the original hospice fleeing the fire of 1576. Behind them you see the fire. Their old St. Elisabeth Gasthuis hospice burned which was located on the Verwulft. They were awarded this land, after the monks were driven away. On the right a glimpse of how the old patient care hall looked. In the middle a reminder of how the bedridden patients were brought in: two men carried them on a type of stretcher that was kept as flat as possible with a special gait that was out of step: you see that the legs of the men are positioned opposite to each other. Such stretchers and the special gait are still used for the Alkmaar cheese market today.

The Haarlemse Huishoud en Industrieschool is a former huishoud school on the Voorhelmstraat, Haarlem, Netherlands. It is the oldest public day school for girls in Haarlem, built in 1901, which was renovated in 1935. It is currently rented as separate units for small businesses.

The ABC Architectuurcentrum Haarlem is a center for Architecture in Haarlem, the Netherlands, dedicated to promoting interest and conserving the architectural heritage of Kennemerland. The center was formed in 1989 and aims to inform all those involved in the building sector of current plans and events regarding large projects in the Haarlem area. The center has a core group of five part-time workers, and the rest of its activities (including the reception area) are manned by a small army of volunteers. It is located in the former polyclinic of the St. Elisabeth Gasthuis, Haarlem on the Groot Heiligland 47, across from the Frans Hals Museum, and shares its front door with the Historisch Museum Haarlem, which is located next door. The center is open from Tuesday-Saturday from 12:00 to 17:00 and on Sundays from 13:00 to 17:00. The rooms can be rented for gatherings and group activities are regularly organized there.

Museum Haarlem is a city museum on Groot Heiligland 47, Haarlem, Netherlands, located across the street from the Frans Hals Museum. It shares its front door with the ABC Architectuurcentrum Haarlem, which is located next door. The museum is devoted to presenting and preserving the cultural history of Haarlem and the surrounding region.
