Birchanger

Enfield Football Club is an English football club that is currently a member of the Isthmian League North Division. The club plays its home matches at Woodside Park in Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire, which it shares with owners Bishop's Stortford. Traditionally based in Enfield, Greater London, the club was, between the 1960s and 1980s, one of the most successful non-league clubs in England, winning the FA Amateur Cup, FA Trophy and Football Conference twice. The club, however, did not manage to gain election to the Football League. Following financial struggles and the sale of their Southbury Road stadium, the club declined, eventually folding and reforming in 2007 as Enfield 1893 Football Club, dropping the 1893 suffix in 2019.

Forest Hall School is a coeducational secondary school located in Stansted Mountfitchet, Essex, England. In 2016 64% of students gained at least 5 GCSEs at A*-C including Maths and English. This figure had increased since 2013, when 28% of students achieved at least 5 GCSE grades A*-C including English and Maths. 67% of students also achieved A*-C grades on both English and Mathematics. The school was originally called Mountfitchet High School before being renamed Mountfitchet Maths and Computing College. The school was re-branded as Forest Hall School in September 2013, named after the road it is situated. The school converted to academy status in February 2015 and is now sponsored by BMAT.

Thremhall Priory was a community of Augustinian Canons in Great Hallingbury, Essex, England. It was probably founded in around 1150 by Gilbert de Montfichet or else by his son Richard de Montfichet the Elder.It was dissolved in 1536 and re-granted to Sir John Cary and his betrothed, the widow Joyce Walsingham (née Denny; mother of Sir Francis Walsingham), with all its possessions, which included the manors of Thremhall, Engeyneshall (now Gidea Hall) in Little Clacton and Beches in Furneux Pelham.There are no remains of the priory buildings, the site of which is now occupied by an 18th-century house, but the outlines of the moat and fishpond are still visible.

Stansted Mountfitchet is an English village and civil parish in Uttlesford district, Essex, near the Hertfordshire border, 35 miles (56 km) north of London. According to the 2001 census it had a population of 5,533, increasing to 6,011 at the 2011 census. By the 2021 census it had increased to 8621. The village is served by Stansted Mountfitchet railway station. Stansted Mountfitchet is situated in north-west Essex near the Hertfordshire border and 3 miles (5 km) north of Bishop's Stortford. Stansted Airport is 2 miles (3 km) from the village. The village has three primary schools (Bentfield Primary School, St Mary's (C of E) Primary School and Magna Carta Primary Academy) and one high school which was renamed the Forest Hall School in September, 2013.

Birchwood High School is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form with academy status located in Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire, England. The school was converted to academy status in February 2012. It used to be a community school under the direct control of Hertfordshire County Council. The school continues to coordinate with the council for admissions. Birchwood High School offers General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSEs) and Business and Technology Education Council (BTECs) as courses of study for pupils, with A Levels offered in the sixth form. The school has been recognised by The Good Schools Guide for the standard of its maths education in 2009, 2011 and 2012.

St Mary the Virgin's Church is a redundant Anglican church near the village of Stansted Mountfitchet, Essex, England. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building, and is under the care of the Churches Conservation Trust. It stands about 1 mile (1.6 km) to the southeast of the village in the grounds of Stansted Hall. The church has been listed because of its "historical value and internal features".

Stansted Mountfitchet railway station is on the West Anglia Main Line serving the village of Stansted Mountfitchet in Essex, England. It is 33 miles 28 chains (53.7 km) down the line from London Liverpool Street and is situated between Bishop's Stortford and Elsenham on the main line; Stansted Airport station follows on the airport branch. Its three-letter station code is SST. The station and all trains serving it are operated by Greater Anglia. The station, which was opened by the Eastern Counties Railway in 1845, was originally known simply as Stansted. It was renamed to its current name in 1990 to avoid potential confusion with the forthcoming station at Stansted Airport, although a local resident, Joseph J. Green, had requested such a name change as early as 1890.The station building is the original from 1845. The station features a ticket office and passenger information screens as well as the 'flip clock' from the Network Southeast period on the London bound platform. Both platforms were extended to accommodate 12-coach trains in 2011.

Stansted Mountfitchet Windmill is a grade II* listed Tower mill at Stansted Mountfitchet, Essex, England which is also a Scheduled Ancient Monument. It has been restored and can turn by wind.

Stansted Mountfitchet Castle, also termed simply Mountfitchet Castle, is a Norman ringwork and bailey fortification in Stansted Mountfitchet, Essex, England. The site is currently in use as a Living history museum.
