Carl T. Hayden Community High School is part of the Phoenix Union High School District. The campus is located at 3333 W. Roosevelt Street just west of downtown Phoenix, Arizona, United States. Carl Hayden's enrollment is 2,209 students, over 93 percent of whom are Hispanic. The school predominantly serves students from partner elementary districts Isaac, Murphy and Riverside, however students from across the district come to the school for its two Phoenix Union Magnet Programs: Computer Studies and Marine Science.

The ADC uses a score classification system to assess inmates appropriate custody and security level placement. The scores range from 1 to 5 with 5 being the highest risk or need. Estrella Jail is a women-only prison facility located in Phoenix, Arizona. The prison has a capacity of approximately 1,400. It was constructed in 1991.Estrella Jail received media attention in 2013 during the trial of Jodi Arias. The media were invited to view her cell by sheriff Joe Arpaio following reports the accused murderer was having an easy time while incarcerated.

KNAI (860 AM; "La Campesina 101.9") is a Regional Mexican-formatted radio station in Phoenix, Arizona. KNAI is owned by the Farmworker Educational Radio Network, Inc. Its studios are located in Phoenix near Piestewa Peak and its transmitter is in South Phoenix near Broadway and 27th Avenue. KNAI operates by day with 940 watts non-directional and at 1,000 watts at night with a directional antenna. Its programming is also heard on two translator stations, K270BZ (101.9 FM) and K270CV (101.9 FM). 860 AM is a Canadian clear-channel frequency, on which CJBC in Toronto, Ontario is the dominant Class A station.

The Phoenix Show Palace (formerly the Phoenix Coliseum) was an indoor ice skating rink and multipurpose venue for trade shows, concerts and sporting events in Phoenix, Arizona, US.The inaugural event at the Phoenix Coliseum was a Bob Hope Concert on September 28, 1956. Several other concerts, trade shows and sporting events were held at the Phoenix Coliseum before it ran into financial problems, the final concert to be held before bankruptcy was the June 2, 1957 concert by Frank Sinatra. Plagued by several problems the coliseum never reached its intended potential; poor acoustics, difficult street access and finally a lack of air conditioning condemned the facility to failure. By June 25, 1957 the Phoenix Coliseum filed for bankruptcy. For a period of time after declaring bankruptcy, concerts and other events continued to be held at the Phoenix Coliseum. By 1961 the Phoenix Coliseum had been converted to discount retail space.In September 1974, the site of the former Phoenix Coliseum had reverted from retail space to a concert, sporting and event hall venue and was renamed "Phoenix Show Palace" and was also known as "The Show Palace". The Phoenix Show Palace lasted 6 months and was not used as a concert or event hall after March 1975. The stated capacity of The Show Palace was 8,800. Live rock concerts, closed-circuit TV and live boxing matches along with open to the public free lectures and a trade show were held at this venue, as they were when the venue was The Phoenix Coliseum. The final advertisement for the Phoenix Show Palace was for a March 31, 1975 boxing match.Blue Oyster Cult recorded part of their live album "On Your Feet or On Your Knees" at the Phoenix Show Palace 14 October 1974 in a triple bill of Golden Earring, T. Rex and Blue Oyster Cult. Album credits state that "Show Palace" Phoenix, AZ was one of seven venues used to record the live album. The address for this venue was 3839 West Indian School Road at 38th Avenue, Phoenix, AZ.Today, the site of the former Phoenix Coliseum/Phoenix Show Palace has reverted to retail space.

American Family Fields of Phoenix, formerly known as Maryvale Baseball Park and briefly as Brewers Fields of Phoenix, is a baseball park located in the Maryvale community of Phoenix, Arizona. The facility is owned and operated by the city's Parks and Recreation department, and holds 10,000 people. It is the spring training home of the Milwaukee Brewers and their minor league affiliates (replacing Compadre Stadium in southeast suburban Chandler). It is also the home stadium to both of the Arizona Complex League Brewers Minor League Baseball teams of the Arizona Complex League. American Family Insurance has naming rights for the Fields. In addition to the main stadium, the facility includes 5 full practice fields, 2 practice infields, a 2-story clubhouse building, and a 2,000-space parking facility. In February 2018, the Brewers announced plans for a major renovation of the facility. The renovation will include a new clubhouse building, renovation of the existing Brewers clubhouse, a newly constructed agility field, a new major league practice field, new batting tunnels, covered practice mounds, a new entry plaza, and new & refurbished parking lots. Costs will be shared by the Brewers ($56-60 million), the city of Phoenix ($2 million/year over 5 years), and the Arizona Sports and Tourism Authority (approximately $5.7 million). Completion is expected by the 2019 spring training season.

Maryvale Mall, originally known as Maryvale Shopping City, was a shopping mall in the Maryvale area of Phoenix, Arizona that, for a time, was the biggest shopping mall between Dallas, Texas and the West Coast.The mall was located on 51st Avenue and Indian School Road. It was sold in the late-1990s to the Cartwright Elementary School District.

Maryvale is a comprehensive high school known for maintaining the best attendance and graduation rate (91.4%) in the district. Maryvale's curriculum consists of over 60 AP and Honors sections in all academic and elective classes. Students also have the opportunity to be dual enrolled with Phoenix College earning college credit alongside their high school credit. Maryvale seniors consistently receive scholarships totaling over $1,000,000. Maryvale's staff includes six National Board Certified Teachers. Maryvale is a Performing school, according to the Arizona Department of Education.
