Mablethorpe and Sutton

St Mary's Church is an active Anglican parish church in Mablethorpe, Lincolnshire, England. Built in the early 14th century, it was renovated with additions in 1714, and in 1976 it was extensively rebuilt. In 1966 the church was designated a grade II listed building.

Mablethorpe railway station was a station in the town of Mablethorpe, Lincolnshire, which is now closed. The station was demolished soon after closure. From 1985 to 2023 only a short section of platform survived, forming a wall of a flower bed in a public garden. It was cleared in 2023 and a leisure centre now takes its place. The station was situated on the north side of High Street, between the present-day Station Road and Alexandra Road. In March 2021, a bid was submitted to restore the line to Mablethorpe as part of the third round of the Restoring Your Railway fund.

Mablethorpe is a seaside town in the civil parish of Mablethorpe and Sutton, in the East Lindsey district of Lincolnshire, England. In 1961 the civil parish had a population of 3,611. On 1 April 1974 the parish was changed to form "Mablethorpe and Sutton". The population including nearby Sutton-on-Sea was 12,531 at the 2011 census and estimated at 12,633 in 2019. The town was visited regularly by Alfred, Lord Tennyson, a 19th-century Poet Laureate of the United Kingdom. Some town features have been named after him, such as Tennyson Road and the now closed Tennyson High School.

Mabelthorpe Lifeboat Station is the base for Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) search and rescue operations at Mablethorpe in Lincolnshire, England. It operates Atlantic 85-class and D-class (IB1) lifeboats.

The Mablethorpe Seal Sanctuary and Wildlife Centre, often abbreviated to Mablethorpe Seal Sanctuary or Mablethorpe Wildlife Centre is a seal sanctuary and animal attraction in the coastal town of Mablethorpe, Lincolnshire, England. It is a tourist attraction and works to rehabilitate sick and injured seals. It is located close to the seal breeding colony at Donna Nook and many of the animals it rescues are young seals born there. Other animals visitors can see at the attraction include gibbons, meerkats and birds of prey. The attraction works with a charity called Mablethorpe Animal Rescue and accommodates much rescued native British wildlife, as well as exotic species. In the 'Time Walking' zone, visitors can view fossils of dinosaurs and other extinct megafauna, including allosaurus, archaeopteryx and mosasaur. Another part of the attraction is themed around the ice ages, and animals which have become extinct in Britain since then, featuring Eurasian lynx. There is also a café and gift shop.

Theddlethorpe Gas Terminal (TGT) is a former gas terminal on the Lincolnshire coast on Mablethorpe Road at Theddlethorpe St Helen close to Mablethorpe in East Lindsey in England. It is just off the A1031 and next door to a holiday camp and Mablethorpe Seal Sanctuary and Wildlife Centre (Animal Gardens).

Hagnaby Abbey was an abbey and former priory in Hagnaby, Lincolnshire, England. It was one of nine Premonstratensian houses within the historical county. It was founded as a house for Premonstratensian canons around 1175, by Agnes, widow of Herbert de Orreby. The priory was a dependency of Welbeck Abbey and named in honour of Saint Thomas the Martyr. It achieved its independence and abbey status in 1250, and appears from surviving records to have been well run. Hagby Abbey was suppressed in 1536, its last abbot being Edmund Toft. It is an ancient scheduled monument.

Trusthorpe is a small coastal village in the civil parish of Mablethorpe and Sutton, in the East Lindsey district of Lincolnshire, England. It is situated 2 miles (3.2 km) south from Mablethorpe and 12 miles (19 km) north from Skegness. About 1 mile (1.6 km) to the west is the hamlet of Thorpe. The parish church, St Peter's Church, is dedicated to Saint Peter and is Grade II listed, dating from the 14th century with alterations in 1522, 1606, 1842 and 1941. It is built of red brick with ashlar dressings, and the three stage tower has stepped corner buttresses. Just below the second stage is an ashlar datestone inscribed "1606 Anthone Swell." The nave dates from 1842 and the chancel from 1941; the font is 13th-century. At the east end of the nave is a wall monument to William Loft who died in 1854. In 1964 a community facility, St Peter's Community Annexe, was built to provide local information and events. In 2014 the Annexe received a National Lottery grant for renovation works. Trusthorpe C of E School was built in 1856 in memory of William Loft, as a National School. It closed on 21 December 1927. Trusthorpe windmill was originally erected at Newland, near Hull. Mr Charles Foster bought it and moved it to Trusthorpe where it was incorporated into a new mill. The post mill was demolished and replaced in 1901 when a new tower mill was built; this lasted until 1935 after which it was converted into a house.

St Peter's Church, Trusthorpe is a historic parish church in Trusthorpe in Lincolnshire, England. It is one of the oldest churches in Mablethorpe and Sutton parish of East Lindsey along with St Mary's Church in Mablethorpe. The tower was built in 1606, elements of the chancel arch are 14th-century, and the octagonal font is dated as c.1400. As a Grade II listed church remains an active place of worship and serves as a vital community hub.

Maltby le Marsh is a village and civil parish in the East Lindsey district of Lincolnshire, England. The village is situated between Alford and Mablethorpe, and at the junction of the A1104 and A157 roads. Maltby le Marsh contains a shop, newsagent, post office, and service station, the Crown Inn and Turks Head public houses, and Oham (fishing) Lake. All of these facilities have since closed, bar the fishing lakes Maltby le Marsh tower mill is disused, with sails removed, but the brick base survives. All trace of a previous post mill has disappeared. Previously there existed a 12th-century Anglican church dedicated to All Saints, a Baptist chapel and a Methodist chapel. The Anglican church is disused – the village shares the church at Beesby. The Baptist chapel has been converted to a house, and the Methodist to the village hall, which is shared with Strubby and Beesby. The rectory to All Saints' Church was built in 1839. The first incumbent was the Reverend Robert Allott who was responsible for building a Church school in 1847. When it closed in 1922, it had 72 pupils. The rectory was sold in 1938 and by 1990 was a private nursing home.

The Alford and Sutton Tramway was a steam 2 ft 6 in (762 mm) narrow gauge street tramway between the seaside town of Sutton-on-Sea and the nearby Great Northern Railway line at Alford in Lincolnshire.

Hannah cum Hagnaby is a civil parish in the East Lindsey district of Lincolnshire, England. It is situated approximately 4 miles (6 km) north-east from Alford, and 15 miles (24 km) south-east from Louth The parish contains two small hamlets, Hannah and Hagnaby. Hannah was used in the Bronze Age as there is evidence of a Round Barrow. In antiquity Hannah was known as Hannay. The church, in Hannah, is dedicated to Saint Andrew and is a Grade I listed building, built of greenstone about 1758, with early 19th, and some 20th-century, alterations. Hagnaby Priory, later Hagnaby Abbey, was in Hagnaby. Pevsner states that a Premonstratensian priory, founded in 1175, stood 0.5 miles (0.8 km) to the north of the village. Fragments of the priory, including octagonal shafts and window tracery, exist at Hagnaby Abbey Farm 1.25 miles (2.0 km) to the west. English Heritage has noted the existence of the suppressed priory through evidence of aerial photographs and building debris, and grassed foundations of a later formal garden and post-medieval house.
