West Middleton, Wisconsin

Middleton is a city in Dane County, Wisconsin, United States, and a suburb of the state capital, Madison. Middleton's motto is "The Good Neighbor City." The population was 21,827 at the 2020 census.

WERN (88.7 FM) is a radio station licensed to Madison, Wisconsin. The station is part of Wisconsin Public Radio (WPR), and is the flagship of WPR's "NPR News and Classical Network", consisting of classical music and news and talk programming. The station first signed on in 1947, as the first FM station in what would become Wisconsin Public Radio. It was originally known as WHA-FM, after its AM sister, WHA; it became WERN in 1974. Since Ideas Network flagship WHA must reduce its power to an all-but-unlistenable level at night, WERN airs a simulcast of the Ideas Network on its HD3 channel. This is used to feed a low-powered translator at 90.9 FM for non-HD Radio listeners. WERN's position on the low end of the FM dial, relatively high transmitter location and power allow for a large coverage area which affords WPR's News/Classical network a strong signal across Southern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois including well into the Rockford area and Metro Milwaukee.

WIBA-FM (101.5 MHz) is a radio station licensed to Sauk City, Wisconsin and serving Madison and south central Wisconsin. The station is owned and operated by iHeartMedia (formerly Clear Channel Communications) and broadcasts a classic rock music format on its primary HD radio, while its HD2 channel carries an oldies format that is simulcast to analog translator station W265CV (100.9 FM).

First Lutheran Church is located in Middleton, Wisconsin, at the corner of Old Sauk Road and Pleasant View Road. The congregation of First Lutheran Church was established in 1852 and this sanctuary was built in 1866 by German immigrants. It has not had an active congregation since 1947. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

Herbert and Katherine Jacobs Second House, often called Jacobs II, is a historic house designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and built west of Madison, Wisconsin, United States in 1946–48. The house was the second of two designed by Frank Lloyd Wright for journalist Herbert Jacobs and his wife Katherine. Its design is unusual among Wright's works; he called the style the "Solar Hemicycle" due to its semicircular layout and use of natural materials and orientation to conserve solar energy. The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1974 and declared a National Historic Landmark in 2003.

Middleton Junction is an unincorporated community located in the town of Middleton, Dane County, Wisconsin, United States.

University Ridge Golf Course is a public golf course in the central United States, located in Verona and Madison, Wisconsin. It is the home course to both the men's and women's golf teams for the University of Wisconsin. Also, since 1994, it has been home to both the boys' and girls' WIAA state golf championships for all divisions. Beginning in 2016, Steve Stricker, a Wisconsin native, has hosted an event on the PGA Tour Champions every June at University Ridge. The Thomas Zimmer Championship Cross Country Course is also located on the property.

The American Family Insurance Championship is a professional golf tournament in Wisconsin on the PGA Tour Champions, played at University Ridge Golf Course in Madison. The inaugural edition in June 2016 featured an 81-player field and a $2 million purse in a no-cut 54-hole event.

Holy Name Seminary is a former Catholic high school seminary located in Madison, Wisconsin. The building currently houses offices for the Diocese of Madison as well as an apartment community named Holy Name Heights.

The Diocese of Madison (Latin: Diœcesis Madisonensis) is a Roman Catholic diocese in the U.S. State of Wisconsin. It comprises of Columbia, Dane, Grant, Green, Green Lake, Iowa, Jefferson, Lafayette, Marquette, Rock, and Sauk counties. The area of the diocese is approximately 8,070 square miles (20,900 km2). There are approxamatly 167,000 Catholics in the Diocese. The Bishop of the Diocese of Madison is Donald J. Hying. The Metropolitan is Jerome Listecki, Archbishop of Milwaukee. There are 102 parishes in the diocese, with 98 priests in active ministry.The Cathedral was Saint Raphael's Cathedral in Madison, but was destroyed by fire in 2005. The diocese currently has no cathedral. Parishioners of the Cathedral currently congregate at St. Patrick's and Holy Redeemer Parishes in Downtown Madison. Camp Gray, a summer camp and retreat center, is one of the ministries of the Diocese of Madison.

St. Ambrose Academy is a Roman Catholic elementary school and high school located on the west side of Madison, Wisconsin. Founded in 2003, the school's stated purpose is to offer "a classical education rooted in the Catholic faith."

High Point Christian School is a private Christian school located on the west side of Madison, Wisconsin, United States. It was founded by Middleton Baptist Church (now High Point Church) in 1974 as Middleton Christian School. HPCS is a 3K–8 school and shares its building with High Point Church. In 2012, High Point consolidated with Abundant Life Christian School to form Madison Christian Schools.
