Campbell–Hicks House

The Tri-State Transit Authority (TTA) is the city bus system in Huntington, West Virginia, and Ironton, Ohio, as well as its suburbs. Its buses range, on the West Virginia side from 21st Street in Kenova, WV to Milton, West Virginia, about 20 miles to the east. On the Ohio side the buses range from downtown Ironton to the Huntington suburb of Proctorville, Ohio, which is also a range of about 20 miles. Interchange buses provide links between Huntington and Chesapeake, Ohio, and between Ironton and Ashland, Kentucky, where transfers are available to the Ashland Bus System (ABS). However the system does not interchange between the TTA and ABS in Ceredo, West Virginia, even though the buses pass within a few blocks of one another. The TTA was involved in a joint venture with the Charleston, West Virginia-based Kanawha Valley Regional Transportation Authority bus system called Intelligent Transit which linked downtown Huntington to Charleston via bus. The service ceased August 28, 2015 due to low ridership and lower gas prices compared to 2012.All buses begin and end at the old Greyhound Bus Depot in downtown Huntington, which is now known as the TTA Center. Barnett Hospital and Nursing School is a historic hospital and school building located at Huntington, Cabell County, West Virginia. It is a three-story, rectangular building measuring 29 feet wide and 100 feet deep. It features a low-pitched, Mediterranean-style, hipped roof with clay Spanish tile. The original building was built as a frame dwelling, with subsequent additions in 1912, 1918, and 1925. The hospital was opened in 1912 by Dr. Clinton Constantine “C.C.” Barnett and served the African American population of Huntington. The Barnett Nursing School opened in 1918. The hospital closed in 1939. The Trustees of International Hod Carriers’, Building and Common Laborers’ Union owned the building from 1947 until 2007.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009.

The Masonic Temple—Watts, Ritter, Wholesale Drygoods Company Building in Huntington, West Virginia, which has also been historically known as Watts, Ritter Wholesale Drygoods Company Building and more recently known as River Tower, is a commercial building. It is located at 1108 Third Avenue, in Huntington, Cabell County, West Virginia. It was built between 1914 and 1922 as a five-story brick building. The building is constructed of steel-reinforced concrete with yellow and orange brick facing and terra cotta trim, with an additional two stories added in 1926. It originally housed a large wholesale business with a retail store on the first floor. The Watts, Ritter Wholesale Drygoods Company occupied the building until the firm's closing in 1959. The building was listed in 1993 on the National Register of Historic Places as "Masonic Temple--Watts, Ritter, Wholesale Drygoods Company Building".

Huntington Prep or Huntington Expression Prep is a basketball-focused college preparatory school located in Huntington, West Virginia. Huntington Prep was originally unrelated to the public Huntington High School located in the same city, though now Huntington Prep players go to school at Huntington High after Huntington Prep's host relationship with St. Joseph Central Catholic High School ended in 2020.

St. Joseph Central Catholic High School is a private Catholic high school in Huntington, West Virginia. It is part of the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston.

Jim's Steak and Spaghetti House is a restaurant in Huntington, West Virginia. In 2019, the business was named one of "America's Classics" by the James Beard Foundation Awards.

Keith-Albee Theatre is a performing arts center located along Fourth Avenue in downtown Huntington, West Virginia, United States. The Keith-Albee was named after the Keith-Albee-Orpheum Corporation, one of the leading vaudeville performance chains at that time, to convince the directors of Keith-Albee-Orpheum to make the Keith-Albee a regular stop. At the time of its construction, The Keith Albee was the second largest theater in the U.S. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as part of the Downtown Huntington Historic District, and is currently being restored as a performing arts center.

Harvey House, also known as the "Coin" Harvey House, is a historic home located at Huntington, Cabell County, West Virginia. It was built in 1874, and is a two-story dwelling reminiscent of houses in New Orleans. It features stained glass windows, a cast iron mantel, and a beamed ceiling in the dining room. It is most notable as the home of William Hope "Coin" Harvey (1851 – 1936).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

Elk River Coal and Lumber No. 10 is a 2-8-2, Mikado type steam locomotive built by American Locomotive Company in 1924 and used by its owners to haul mine waste from Rich Run Mine in Widen, West Virginia. It was retired in 1959 and moved to its present location at Huntington, West Virginia, in 1977.It was built for the Toledo Angola and Western as their No. 100 in 1924. It was purchased sometime thereafter by Elk River Coal and Lumber Company. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places as Elk River Coal and Lumber Company #10 Steam Locomotive in 2006.

Huntington station is an Amtrak station in Huntington, West Virginia. Located at 1050 8th Avenue, the station consists of a platform on the south side of the east-west tracks, a small parking lot, and a small building in between. The station contains a waiting room and space for a ticket office, though Amtrak pulled the station agent in the 21st century. Huntington is served by the Cardinal route. The Amtrak station replaced a Chesapeake and Ohio station on 7th Avenue. The C&O station hosted daily trains headed northwest, west and east: Fast Flying Virginian (west to Cincinnati, and sections east to Washington, D.C., and Newport News), George Washington (sections west to Cincinnati and Louisville, and sections east to Washington, D.C., and Newport News) and the Sportsman (northwest to Detroit, and sections east to Washington, D.C., and Newport News).The one story Amtrak building was constructed to a standard design that Amtrak developed in the 1970s and used at locations throughout the country for the next two decades. Typical features included at Huntington are concrete block walls, floor to ceiling windows and a black, cantilevered roof.

Huntington Junior College (HJC) is a private for-profit junior college in Huntington, West Virginia. It was founded in 1936 and its campus is currently located in the former Cabell County Public Library building. The college offers six associate degree programs as well as stackable certificates and micro-credentials. It is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.

The Carnegie Public Library at Huntington, West Virginia, formerly also known as the Cabell County Public Library, is a historic library building located on the northeast corner of Fifth Avenue and Ninth Street. It was the first public library in the county. It served the community as a library until 1980, when a new library opened across the street. The building currently houses the Huntington Junior College.
