The Castle of the Masovian Dukes in Płock is a Gothic castle built under the reign of Casimir III the Great, becoming a stronghold of the Dukes of Masovia until the fifteenth century. The castle is located in the Princely Capital City of Płock, Masovian Voivodeship; in Poland.

Marshal Stanisław Małachowski High School (Polish: Liceum Ogólnokształcące im. Marszałka Stanisława Małachowskiego w Płocku) is a school in Płock and the oldest school in Poland. Its roots go back to 1180. It is now a general education high school. It was named after the Polish statesman Stanisław Małachowski.

The Diocese of Płock (Latin: Dioecesis Plocensis) is a Latin Church diocese of the Catholic Church located in the city of Płock in the ecclesiastical province of Warszawa in Poland. Sunday mass attendance in 2013 was 30.7% of the population (39.1% Polish average) placing it to the group of less religious dioceses in the country.

Płock Cathedral (Polish: Katedra Płocka), or the Cathedral of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Masovia, is a Roman Catholic cathedral in the city of Płock, in central Poland. It is an example of 12th-century Romanesque architecture and is the oldest and most important historical monument in the city, which contains the tombs of several Polish monarchs. It is listed as a Historic Monument of Poland.

Bolesław III the Wrymouthed Monument in Płock (Polish: Pomnik Bolesława III Krzywoustego w Płocku) shows prince Bolesław III Wrymouth (ruler of Poland in the years 1107–1138, born on August 20, 1086, in Płock) on horseback, surrounded by a group of warriors walking with banners. The monument is made of light sandstone. Is over 5 meters tall and weighs about 21 tons. Construction of the monument was initiated by Marian Wilk by decision of the (then)president of Płock, Miroslaw Milewski. The sculptor was Zbigniew Mikielewicz. On July 31, 2012, the monument was placed on Prince's Square (Polish: Plac Książęcy) near Piekarska Street and St. Bartholomew's parish church. The original location of the monument, Gabriel Narutowicz Square, was changed in 2011 by the decision of Płock City Council. In the Royal Chapel on the north side of Płock Cathedral is a marble sarcophagus forming a tomb with the remains of the two Polish rulers: Bolesław III the Wrymouthed (1086 –1138) and his father Władysław I Herman (c. 1043 –1102), also prince and ruler of Poland during the years 1079 –1102. During the reign of these rulers, 1079 –1138, Płock was the capital of Poland.

Płock Voivodeship (Polish: województwo płockie) was a unit of administrative division and local government in Poland from 1975 to 1998 and earlier from the 15th century till 1795. The more recent one was superseded by Łódź Voivodeship and Masovian Voivodeship. Its capital city was Płock. Major cities and towns: (population in 1995):Płock (126,900), Kutno (51,000), Gostynin (20,200).

The Legions of Marshal Józef Piłsudski Bridge (Polish: Most im. Legionów Marszałka Józefa Piłsudskiego) is a road-railway bridge over the Vistula River in Płock, Poland, connecting the Old Town and Radziwie district on a left river bank. The bridge was constructed as part of a new railway line from Kutno to Sierpce and Brodnica needed to fill a gap in the infrastructure of the newly independent Second Polish Republic left after the period the partitions of Poland where in the russian controlled Congress Poland the occupiers limited the construction of railways on the left bank of the Vistula river for strategic reasons, and create a rail link from Lwów through Skarżysko, Łódź and Brodnica to the Baltic Sea linking the envisioned future Central Industrial Region with the port of Gdynia. Construction of the line started in 1920 and in 1922 connected Kutno to Płock's southern suburb of Radziwie, by 1934 the segment between Płock and Sierpc was opened. A tender for the construction of the bridge was held in 1936, won two companies, "Konstanty Rudzki i Spółka" and "Przedsiębiorstwo Robót Inżynieryjnych – Leszek Muszyński", which started work on the bridge from both ends by 1937 and finished in 1938 in a record 20 months. The project faced unique engineering challenges due to the high escarpment on the right bank of the river in Płock, which was solved by having the bridge rise 8 meters from the bridgehead located on the flat left bank and each span individually designed. At 649 meters at the time of its opening it was longest bridge in Poland. On December 19, 1938 the bridge was formally christened the Bridge of the Legions of Marshal Józef Piłsudski. Following the German invasion of Poland at the beginning of World War 2, the bridge was blown up by the retreating Polish Army in September 1939. By 1943 the bridge was restored by occupying Germans, and once again blown by them 1943, and restored in 1950. It underwent major renovation in 1979, 1994 and 2019. In 2007 the Solidarity Bridge was built as a second road bridge in Płock forming a bypass of the city center. The Legions of Marshal Józef Piłsudski Bridge in Płock is the longest illuminated bridge in Europe.

The Temple of Mercy and Charity (Polish: Świątynia Miłosierdzia i Miłości) is a Mariavite cathedral in Płock in central Poland. It is located near the Vistula River.

Płock County (Polish: powiat płocki) is a unit of territorial administration and local government (powiat) in Masovian Voivodeship, east-central Poland. It came into being on January 1, 1999, as a result of the Polish local government reforms passed in 1998. Its administrative seat is the city of Płock, although the city is not part of the county (it constitutes a separate city county). The county contains three towns: Gąbin, 17 km (11 mi) south of Płock, Drobin, 29 km (18 mi) north-east of Płock, and Wyszogród, 39 km (24 mi) south-east of Płock. The county covers an area of 1,798.71 square kilometres (694.5 sq mi). As of 2019, the total country population is 110,987, out of which the population of Gąbin is 4,125, that of Drobin is 2,872, that of Wyszogród is 2,601, and the rural population is 101,389.

Płock is a Polish parliamentary constituency in the Masovian Voivodeship. It elects ten members of the Sejm.The district has the number '16' for elections to the Sejm and is named after the city of Płock. It includes the counties of Ciechanów, Gostynin, Mława, Płock, Płońsk, Przasnysz, Sierpc, Sochaczew, Żuromin, and Żyrardów, and the city county of Płock.

Płock Governorate was an administrative-territorial unit (guberniya) of Congress Poland of the Russian Empire. It was created in 1837 from the Płock Voivodship, and had the same borders and capital (Płock) as the voivodship. In 1867 territories of the Augustów Governorate and the Płock Governorate were divided into a smaller Płock Governorate, Suwałki Governorate (consisting mostly of the Augustów Governorate territories) and recreated Łomża Governorate. The Governorate consisted of eight counties (uyezds): Ciechanowski Lipnowski Mławski, Płocki Płoński Przasnyski Rypiński Sierpecki

Płock Department (Polish: Departament płocki) was a unit of administrative division and local government in the Polish Duchy of Warsaw from 1806 to 1815. Its capital city was Płock, and it was further divided onto 10 powiats. In 1815 it was transformed into Płock Voivodeship.
