St Andrews Community Hospital

The St Andrews Botanic Garden is an 18-acre botanical garden in the university town of St Andrews in Fife, Scotland. It is located on the banks of the wooded Kinness Burn in the Canongate area, on the southern edge of the town. The gardens are supported by the University of St Andrews and Fife Council, and by admission charges. The garden is included on the Inventory of Gardens and Designed Landscapes in Scotland.

Madras College, often referred to as Madras, is a Scottish comprehensive secondary school located in St Andrews, Fife. It educates over 1,400 pupils aged between 11 and 18 and was founded in 1833 by the Rev. Dr Andrew Bell.

University Hall is a student hall of residence at the University of St Andrews in St Andrews, Fife, Scotland. When it opened in 1896 it was the first residence for women students in Scotland. University Hall is now a mixed residence. Louisa Lumsden was the first warden of the new residence hall and remained in that position until 1900.The Hall consists of three buildings: Wardlaw, a listed building acquired in 1947, which continues to be open to lady students only; Old Wing, the original hall; and the modern Lumsden Wing in 1962, which contains the central dining room. The amenities include libraries and an oak panelled common room. University Hall underwent a major refurbishment, which was completed in 2009. Whitehorn Hall was opened in 2018 within the grounds of University Hall and was named after journalist Katharine Whitehorn. The design and architecture firm HLM won the 2019 Scottish Design Award in the 'Architecture: Residential' category for the design of the new hall. The building also won 'Best Building' in the Educational category at the St Andrews Preservation Trust’s Pride of Place Awards in 2022.

The siege of St Andrews Castle (1546–1547) followed the killing of Cardinal David Beaton by a group of Protestants at St Andrews Castle. They remained in the castle and were besieged by the Governor of Scotland, Regent Arran. However, over 18 months the Scottish besieging forces made little impact, and the Castle finally surrendered to a French naval force after artillery bombardment. The Protestant garrison, including the preacher John Knox, were taken to France and used as galley slaves.

St Andrews railway station was the second station to be built in the town of St Andrews, Fife, Scotland. The station, which was in service from 1887 to 1969, was built by the St Andrews Railway and the Anstruther and St Andrews Railway.

Hope Park Church in St Andrews, Fife, is a congregation of the Church of Scotland.

New Park School was an independent preparatory school in St Andrews, Fife, Scotland. The school was founded in 1933 by Cuthbert Dixon, previously a teacher at Merchiston Castle School. The school was situated at Hepburn Gardens, a residential area of St Andrews. Additionally, the school owned playing fields at Priory Acres off the Canongate, on the other side of the Kinness Burn. In 1986, part of the playing fields were put on the market for residential development. The school continued to use the remaining playing fields until it closed in 2005. Initially the school had 13 boys, all of whom were day pupils. Within a few years, the school had expanded, and by 1938 there were 20 pupils including 10 boarders. Numbers continued to increase, particularly in the post-war period. In the 1970s, New Park admitted its first girls. By the time the school closed in 2005, there were roughly equal numbers of boys and girls. As times changed, boarding became less popular, and by the mid-1990s, boarding at New Park had ceased.

St Andrews Town Hall is a municipal structure in South Street, St Andrews, Fife, Scotland. The structure, which is the meeting place of the Royal Burgh of St Andrews Community Council, is a Category B listed building.

The University of St Andrews School of Medicine (formerly the Bute Medical School) is the school of medicine at the University of St Andrews in St Andrews, Fife, Scotland and the oldest medical school in Scotland. The medical school offers two programs to students, the BSc (Hons) in Medicine program teaches medical students for the first three years of their training, with students completing this training, earning their MB ChB/MBBS at various partner medical schools in the UK in a pre-arranged fashion. The school also offers a 4-year graduate entry medical program in combination with the University of Dundee, awarding a joint MB ChB from the University of St Andrews and Dundee. The school is associated with 1 Nobel Prize and 2 Victoria Cross winners. Famous alumni include small pox vaccine pioneer Edward Jenner, revolutionary journalist Jean-Paul Marat, and inventor of beta blockers and H2 receptor antagonists, Nobel Prize in Medicine winner Sir James Black.

John Burnet Hall (also known as Atholl or JBH) is the smallest capacity Hall of Residence owned by the University of St Andrews. It was formerly the Atholl Hotel and is located in the town of St Andrews, Scotland. It has 76 bedrooms, of which 34 are shared, in the main building and 36 single, en-suite rooms in the annex. All rooms are catered, and meals are provided to residents three times a day Monday-Friday and breakfast and lunch are served on weekends. Prices for 2018–19 were £6,630 (single room,) £6,021 (shared room,) and £8,003 (single en-suite Annexe room.)

St Mary's College, founded as New College or College of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, is the home of the Faculty and School of Divinity within the University of St Andrews, in Fife, Scotland.
