McTimoney College of Chiropractic is a chiropractic college, is part of the College of Health and validated by Ulster University in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, England. Alongside the University of South Wales and Anglo-European College of Chiropractic, the college is one of only three United Kingdom institutions to offer degrees recognized by the General Chiropractic Council, and the only one to specialize in programmes for those wishing to study while working. They offer an Integrated Undergraduate Master's degree in Chiropractic and two postgraduate Masters programmes in Animal Manipulation, plus a postgraduate Masters in Paediatric Chiropractic. Graduates of the Chiropractic degrees are eligible to register with the General Chiropractic Council, the UK Statutory Regulator. The college was founded as the Oxfordshire School of Chiropractic by John McTimoney. Graduates of the college make up a quarter of the UK's chiropractors. St Helen Without is a civil parish in the Vale of White Horse district in the English county of Oxfordshire. In 1974 it was transferred from Berkshire. It is immediately west of Abingdon and includes the villages of Dry Sandford and Shippon. A large part of the parish is occupied by Dalton Barracks and its associated airfield (formerly RAF Abingdon). According to the 2001 census the parish had a population of 2,623. The parish was created by the Local Government Act 1894, by the division of the parish of Abingdon St. Helen. The part inside Abingdon Municipal Borough became part of Abingdon parish, whilst that part outside became St. Helen Without. It became part of the Abingdon Rural District of Berkshire in 1894, and then part of the Vale of White Horse in Oxfordshire under the Local Government Act 1972.

Caldecott is a suburb of Abingdon in Oxfordshire, England. Caldecott was formerly part of Sutton Wick but is now part of Abingdon. Unlike northern Abingdon, Caldecott was not built until the late 19th century (then part of Sutton Wick). for this reason, when examining the river bank at the Cast Iron bridge and the roads either side, you can see how the foundation switch from the old mid 18th century foundations to the much more modern ones. Caldecott has, in recent years, grown a reputation for being a haven for the delinquent youth. the growth of council funded households in central Caldecott during the 1980s greatly contributed to such a reputation.
