The Maverik Center, originally known as the E Center, is a 12,000-seat multi-purpose arena located in West Valley City, Utah, United States. Construction on the arena started in 1996 and was completed in time to hold its first event on September 22, 1997. The arena is owned by West Valley City, and managed by Centennial Management Group, Inc. During the 2002 Winter Olympics it served as the main venue for the ice hockey events, and as the venue for ice sledge hockey during the 2002 Winter Paralympics. Today the arena is home to the Utah Grizzlies along with the Salt Lake City Stars, and it is also a major venue in the area for numerous concerts and live touring productions.

KKAT (860 kHz) is an AM radio station broadcasting a talk format. KKAT is licensed to Salt Lake City, Utah and is owned by Cumulus Media. The station's studios are located in South Salt Lake (behind the I-15/I-80 interchange). KKAT broadcasts at 10,000 watts by day but must reduce its power to 196 watts at night because it is on a clear channel frequency reserved for CJBC Toronto, the dominant Class A station on 860 kHz. During critical hours, KKAT is powered at 3,000 watts. It uses a non-directional antenna at all times. The transmitter is off West 2590 South, near the Redwood Nature Area in West Valley City.

Granger High School is a public high school located in West Valley City, Utah, United States. The school enrollment for the 2019–20 school year was 3,155 with 123 teachers, for a teacher to student ratio of 25.64. The mascot is the Granger Lancer. The school was designed with a King Arthur theme, hence the cafeteria is known as Stonehenge, and the school's colors are the same as King Arthur's (crimson red, Columbia blue, and silver gray). Granger High belongs to the Granite School District. It opened in 1958. As of the 2020-2021 school year, Granger's students are 60.5% Hispanic, 20.9% White, 11.7% Asian/Pacific Islander, 2.0% Native American and 4.2% African-American. Granger High School offers many competitive and non-competitive athletic, academic, and extra-curricular options. The current principal of Granger High School is Dr. Tyler Howe, previously the principal of West Lake STEM, one of the junior high schools located in the Granger network. The current assistant principals are Dottie Alo, Ben Anderson, David Beck, Shawn Neilson, and Jeff Jackson. As of the 2013–14 school year, students of Granger are attending school in a brand new building. The new high school is the biggest in the state of Utah.

The Lifetime Activities Center is a 5,000-seat multi-purpose arena in Taylorsville, Utah, on campus of Salt Lake Community College. The arena hosts the Bruins' basketball team, and formerly the G League affiliate of the Utah Jazz, the Salt Lake City Stars. Every February through March, it hosts Utah high school girls' basketball championships. In addition to the 5,000-seat arena, it also hosts a fitness center and weight room, as well as classrooms for SLCC classes.
