KKAT (860 kHz) is an AM radio station broadcasting a talk format. KKAT is licensed to Salt Lake City, Utah and is owned by Cumulus Media. The station's studios are located in South Salt Lake (behind the I-15/I-80 interchange). KKAT broadcasts at 10,000 watts by day but must reduce its power to 196 watts at night because it is on a clear channel frequency reserved for CJBC Toronto, the dominant Class A station on 860 kHz. During critical hours, KKAT is powered at 3,000 watts. It uses a non-directional antenna at all times. The transmitter is off West 2590 South, near the Redwood Nature Area in West Valley City.

Granger-Hunter was a census-designated place in Salt Lake County, Utah, USA, during the 1970 United States Census. which comprises the communities of Granger and Hunter. Granger High School is a public high school located in West Valley City, Utah, United States. The school enrollment for the 2019–20 school year was 3,155 with 123 teachers, for a teacher to student ratio of 25.64. The mascot is the Granger Lancer. The school was designed with a King Arthur theme, hence the cafeteria is known as Stonehenge, and the school's colors are the same as King Arthur's (crimson red, Columbia blue, and silver gray). Granger High belongs to the Granite School District. It opened in 1958. As of the 2020-2021 school year, Granger's students are 60.5% Hispanic, 20.9% White, 11.7% Asian/Pacific Islander, 2.0% Native American and 4.2% African-American. Granger High School offers many competitive and non-competitive athletic, academic, and extra-curricular options. The current principal of Granger High School is Dr. Tyler Howe, previously the principal of West Lake STEM, one of the junior high schools located in the Granger network. The current assistant principals are Dottie Alo, Ben Anderson, David Beck, Shawn Neilson, and Jeff Jackson. As of the 2013–14 school year, students of Granger are attending school in a brand new building. The new high school is the biggest in the state of Utah.

Uinta Brewing Company is a craft brewery founded in 1993 in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA. The company produces a range of beers, naming them after Utah's cultural and natural icons. As of 2016, Uinta was the 39th-largest craft brewery in the country.

The Lifetime Activities Center is a 5,000-seat multi-purpose arena in Taylorsville, Utah, on campus of Salt Lake Community College. The arena hosts the Bruins' basketball team, and formerly the G League affiliate of the Utah Jazz, the Salt Lake City Stars. Every February through March, it hosts Utah high school girls' basketball championships. In addition to the 5,000-seat arena, it also hosts a fitness center and weight room, as well as classrooms for SLCC classes.

Salt Lake Community College (SLCC) is a public community college in Salt Lake County, Utah. It is the state's largest two-year college with the most diverse student body. It serves more than 60,000 students on 10 campuses as well as through online classes. The college has a student to faculty ratio of 20:1. Since SLCC is a community college, it focuses on providing associate degrees that students can transfer to any other four-year university in the state to satisfy their first two years of requirements for a bachelor's degree. SLCC has open enrollment and serves the local community, with approximately 95% of the student body considered Utah residents. Although the college does not offer four-year degrees directly, school officials work with the state's other institutions of higher learning to create partnerships between different schools and ensure that credits are transferable. Salt Lake Community College has partnered with selected four-year institutions to provide opportunities for students to complete a bachelor's degree while remaining on one of SLCC campuses. General education credits may be transferred to any four-year school in Utah including the University of Utah, Utah State University, Utah Valley University as well as private schools such as Brigham Young University and Westminster College.
