St Matthew's Church, Little Lever

Little Lever was, from 1872 to 1974, a local government district centred on the large village of Little Lever in the administrative county of Lancashire, England.

Little Lever is a village in the Metropolitan Borough of Bolton, Greater Manchester, England. Within the Historic County of Lancashire, it is 2 miles (3.2 km) southeast of Bolton, 2 miles (3.2 km) west of Radcliffe and 4 miles (6.4 km) southwest of Bury. In the 19th century, the population was employed in cotton mills, paper mills, bleach works, terracotta works, a rope works and numerous collieries.

Bradley Fold railway station served Bradley Fold on the now closed line between Bury and Bolton. The route was lost to a housing development at Bradley Fold in 1994.

Prestolee Aqueduct is a stone-built aqueduct in Prestolee, Kearsley in the Metropolitan Borough of Bolton, Greater Manchester, England. The four-arch structure was constructed in 1793 to carry the Manchester, Bolton and Bury Canal across the River Irwell. It is now preserved as a Grade II listed building.The aqueduct is one of two remaining major structures on the canal, the other being the Clifton Aqueduct. A third major aqueduct, Damside Aqueduct, was demolished in the 1950s. As of 2007, the aqueduct still carried water, although it was not navigable as adjoining sections of the canal are in need of restoration.

Little Lever School is a mixed secondary school located in Little Lever in the English county of Greater Manchester.Little Lever school was previously a community school with a specialism in Business and Enterprise that was administered by Bolton Metropolitan Borough Council. However Little Lever School converted to academy status in December 2015 and is judged by Ofsted to 'require improvement' . The school offers GCSEs, BTECs and ASDAN courses as programmes of study for pupils. Little Lever School coordinates with Bolton Metropolitan Borough Council for admissions, and the main feeder primary schools are Bowness Primary School, Masefield Primary School, Mytham Primary School, St Matthew's CE Primary School, St Stephen's & All Martyrs CE Primary School and St Teresa's RC Primary School.

Nob End is the site of a former waste tip which is now a Site of Special Scientific Interest and Local Nature Reserve near Little Lever and Kearsley, in Greater Manchester, England.

Bradley Fold is a small district within the Metropolitan Borough of Bury, in Greater Manchester, England. It lies midway between Bolton and Bury, approximately 3 miles from each. It forms part of the Radcliffe North ward on Bury Council, and sits within the Bury South parliamentary constituency. Despite coming within Bury Council's governance, Bradley Fold residents have Bolton postal addresses and telephone numbers. Bradley Fold has a trading estate, incorporating a council depot, and is also home to a former Dorma textiles factory. Since the mid-1990s, several new housing estates have been built. There are reservoirs open to anglers on Browns Road. In addition to a garden centre and social club, Bradley Fold has one pub, The Queens, where remnants of the former Bradley Fold railway station on the Liverpool and Bury Railway can be seen.

Moses Gate Country Park, part of which is also known as Crompton Lodges, (National Grid Ref: SD 749063) is a 750 acre (300 hectare) site situated at Moses Gate in the Croal and Irwell Valleys 3 miles (5 km) south of Bolton town centre on the A6053 road which connects Farnworth to Little Lever. It is a Local Nature Reserve.

Ladyshore Colliery, originally named Back o' th Barn, was situated on the Irwell Valley fault on the Manchester Coalfield in Little Lever, then in the historic county of Lancashire, England. Founded by Thomas Fletcher Senior, the colliery opened in the 1830s and mined several types of coal. It became infamous as a result of the owners' stand against the use of safety lamps in the mines. Women and children worked in the mines, under poor conditions. Closed in 1949, it was the last colliery to remain in use by the canal. Only the colliery office (now a house) and the stables have survived.

Kearsley Mill is a 240,000 sq ft (22,000 m2), late period cotton mill located in the small village of Prestolee in Kearsley, Greater Manchester, part of the historic county of Lancashire. A near complete example of Edwardian mill architecture, the building now functions as headquarters for a number of businesses and is still used in the continued manufacturing and distribution of textiles by Richard Haworth Ltd Est (1876), part of the Ruia Group. The mill is a Grade II listed building.

The River Croal is a river located in Greater Manchester, England. It is a tributary of the River Irwell. Rising at the confluence of Middle Brook and Deane Church Brook, it flows eastwards through Bolton, collecting Gilnow Brook and the larger River Tonge at Darcy Lever. Most of the river is culverted through Bolton town centre, running under Knowsley Street, Market Place and Bridge Street. Before 1836, the River Croal formed the boundary between the townships of Great and Little Bolton. The name of the river is derived from the Old English croh and wella, the winding stream. It was possibly originally called the Middlebrook along its entire length as early references mention the Mikelbrok, (mycel and broc), the great stream but not the Croal.It meets the Irwell at Nob End, Kearsley after a total course of around ten miles.

Lever Bank Bleach Works was a Bleach Works at Ladyshore, near Little Lever, Bolton. The works was owned by Thomas Ridgway & Sons. Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair would appear to be a direct descendant of this family.
