Chain Bridge Bank, National Association (N.A.) is a nationally chartered bank organized under the laws of the United States. The bank is headquartered in McLean, Virginia, and serves trade associations, think tanks, lobbying firms, political committees, nonprofit organizations, businesses, and individuals across the country. Bloomberg Businessweek once called Chain Bridge Bank "The Most Important Bank in America." The bank has only one location in McLean, 10 miles west of Washington, D.C.In 2011, Chain Bridge was "fast becoming the preferred bank of the Republican Party." In 2015, Bloomberg Businessweek headlined a story "Where Candidates Stash Their Cash" describing the bank's dominance in banking Republican presidential campaigns and allied committees leading up to the 2016 United States elections.The Trump Victory Committee is among the many political entities, mostly but not entirely Republican, that have held accounts at Chain Bridge. The Richmond Times-Dispatch noted that Chain Bridge is uniquely dependent on its political business: "its deposits tend to swell in election years and dissipate as soon as ballots are cast." The bank maintains higher than average asset quality and liquidity.

It is the location of Hickory Hill, the former home of Ethel Kennedy, the widow of Robert F. Kennedy. It is also the location of Salona, the former home of Light-Horse Harry Lee, the Revolutionary War hero. The population of the community was 50,773 at the 2020 census. It is located between the Potomac River and Vienna. McLean is often distinguished by its luxury homes and its nearby high-profit shopping destinations, Tysons Corner Center and Tysons Galleria. The two McLean ZIP Codes – 22101 and 22102 – are among the most expensive ZIP Codes in Virginia and the United States. In 2018, data from the American Community Survey revealed that McLean was the third wealthiest city in the United States, based on its poverty rate of 2.6% and its median household income of $190,258.

Lewinsville is an unincorporated community in Fairfax County, Virginia, United States. Traditionally, the center of Lewinsville has been located at the crossroads of Lewinsville and Chain Bridge Roads. Together with Langley, Lewinsville forms the census-designated place of McLean. During the Civil War, on Wednesday, September 11, 1861, the Battle of Lewinsville was fought here between the Union Army and the Confederate Army. Casualties for the Union were three dead and some wounded, while casualties for the Confederates were none.

Temple Rodef Shalom (Reform) is the largest Jewish congregation in the Commonwealth of Virginia, located in Falls Church, Fairfax County, Virginia. Founded in 1962, it counts a membership of over 1,700 households.In 1963, the Temple hired Laszlo Berkowits as its first rabbi. In 1998, it became one of the largest congregations in the United States to have a female rabbi, when it replaced Berkowits, who had decided to retire, with then-Associate Rabbi Amy Schwartzman.The Temple's Associate Rabbis are Jeffrey Saxe and Stephanie Bernstein. The National Counterproliferation and Biosecurity Center (NCBC) is the primary organization within the United States Intelligence Community for combating the spread of weapons of mass destruction and their delivery systems.NCBC works with the Intelligence Community (IC) to identify critical intelligence gaps in counter-proliferation collection or analysis and then develops solutions to help close those gaps. NCBC also works to find and fund new technologies to help combat proliferation. Additionally, NCBC works to identify "over the horizon" proliferation concerns and creates strategies to ensure that the IC is well-positioned to address them.

Salona, in McLean, Virginia, is a former plantation house on the National Register of Historic Places surrounded by land protected by two conservation easements. The Salona homestead and grounds comprise 7.8 acres (3.2 ha) within the 52.4-acre (21.2 ha) site, and are protected by a 1971 easement held by the Fairfax Board of Supervisors. A much newer conservation easement held by the Northern Virginia Conservation Trust added an additional 41 acres (17 ha), of which 10 acres (4.0 ha) will be placed in active recreational use, and the rest used for passive recreation, such as trails.

West Falls Church station is a Washington Metro station in Idylwood, Virginia on the Orange Line, the first station inside the beltway on the Orange Line going east. It is one of only two stations in the system to have three tracks, the other being the National Airport station. The center track is used for storage and relaying trains to the adjacent Falls Church Yard.

Meridian High School (MHS) (formerly George Mason High School) is a comprehensive public high school serving the independent City of Falls Church. Until January 2014, it was located in Idylwood, an unincorporated area of Falls Church, in Fairfax County, Virginia, adjacent to Falls Church City. As part of Fairfax Water's agreement to purchase the Falls Church Water System, the parcel with MHS was transferred to Falls Church City.The school serves some 850 students in grades 9-12. The school is the sole high school of the Falls Church City Public Schools system. In 1981, the school became the first in Virginia to use the International Baccalaureate program.The school ranks gold in U.S. News & World Report's Best High Schools Ranking for 2020; Meridian High School (formerly George Mason) ranks #16 among all schools in Virginia and #649 in the United States.A design for a new main building was unveiled in 2017 and construction began in 2019. The new LEED-certified building opened to students in 2021, and the original was demolished. In December 2020, the FCCPS School Board voted to rename George Mason High School and its counterpart Thomas Jefferson Elementary School due to their namesakes' association with American slavery. After a period of deliberation and public comment, the school board selected Meridian High School as a replacement name.
