School Nuestra Senora de la Antigua is a school in Lugo, Spain, built in 1523 by the Cardinal of Seville, Don Rodrigo de Castro. The school was first managed by the Society of Jesus and later passed on to the Piarists Fathers during the nineteenth century. The school building is one of the few Herrerian style buildings in Galicia, and widely known due to its magnificent structure, which counts with a main building, a church, and a museum. Nowadays the school continues to impart classes from kindergarten to High School.

It extends over the territories of 20 different municipalities that conform a zone and entity called Ribeira Sacra, which could be translated as "Sacred Shore". The vineyards are planted on the steep slopes of the valleys and canyons of the rivers Miño and Sil. The area acquired official Denominación de Origen status in 1996. Three types of varietal wine are produced: red Mencía, white Albariño and white Godello.

The Sil Canyon (Galician: Canón do Sil) is a gorge in Galicia, Spain along the Sil. It covers the last 50 km before the Sil enters the Minho. The scenery is considered to be the most spectacular in Galicia.The walls rise almost vertically up to 500 m from water level. Due to the extraordinary terrain, the local climate differs from surrounding areas and allows the growth of Mediterranean vegetation, such as olive trees. The river cliffs have been terraced to allow production of grape vines. Wine production started in this area already in Roman times. The area is called the Ribeira Sacra wine region, and it is the only place in Galicia that produces more red than white wine.The gorge is classified in Natura 2000 as a site of community importance. It is a home to several rare bird species, and some mammals such as otters and bats.

Torbeo is a Galician parish of the municipality of Ribas de Sil, in Spain. The parish has a population of 82 inhabitants according to INE data for the year 2019. distributed in 12 localities. The parish is located on a slope south of the River Sil, within the Ribeira Sacra.
