Bologna Corticella (Italian: Stazione di Bologna Corticella) is a railway station serving the suburb of Corticella, part of the city of Bologna, in the region of Emilia-Romagna, northern Italy. The station is located on the Padua–Bologna railway. All train services are operated by Trenitalia Tper. The station is currently managed by Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (RFI), a subsidiary of Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane (FSI), Italy's state-owned rail company.

Arena Parco Nord is a natural amphitheatre located in Bologna, Italy. It is used primarily for open-air concerts. The amphitheatre has served as the venue for the Independent Days Festival since 1999. It also hosted part of the European Monsters of Rock tour in 1990.

The Istituto di Radioastronomia di Bologna (Institute for Radio Astronomy of Bologna) is one of research facilities of the Italian Istituto Nazionale di Astrofisica (National Institute for Astrophysics). Virtus Segafredo Arena, simply known for sponsorship reasons as Segafredo Arena, is a temporary indoor arena located in Bologna, with a capacity of 9,980 seats, one of the largest of the country. The arena was opened in November 2019 and hosted some home games of Virtus Bologna. Villa Smeraldi is a rural palace, now museum, along the Canale Navile near the town of Bentivoglio in the Province of Bologna, in the region of Emilia-Romagna of Italy. The villa is the host of the Museum of Peasant Farming Culture (in Italian: Museo della civiltà contadina), which documents the buildings, tools, routines, and daily lives of those involved in rural agriculture from landowner to peasant.

The Bologna massacre (Italian: strage di Bologna) was a terrorist bombing of the Bologna Centrale railway station in Bologna, Italy, on the morning of 2 August 1980, which killed 85 people and wounded over 200. Several members of the neo-fascist terrorist organization Nuclei Armati Rivoluzionari (NAR, Armed Revolutionary Nuclei) were sentenced for the bombing, although the group denied involvement.

Bologna Centrale is the main railway station in Bologna, Italy. The station is situated at the northern edge of the city centre. It is located at the southern end of the Milan-Bologna high-speed line, which opened on 13 December 2008, and the northern end of three lines between Bologna and Florence: the original Bologna-Florence line through Porretta Terme and Pistoia; the Bologna–Florence Direttissima via Prato, which opened on 22 April 1934 and the Bologna-Florence high-speed line, which opened to traffic on 13 December 2009. Bologna Centrale is the fifth-busiest in Italy in terms of passenger movements (about 58 million passengers per year). Porta Mascarella was a gate or portal of the former outer medieval walls of the city of Bologna, Italy. It stands just before the Ponte Stalingrado (Stalingrad bridge). First erected in the 1300, and rebuilt in the 17th century. The gate once had a drawbridge, but it was ultimately sealed in the 15th century. The now isolated tower once was a machiocolated rampart in the city walls.

Porta Galliera was a gate or portal of the former outer medieval walls of the city of Bologna, Italy. It is the most ornamented of all the remaining gates. The gate was built during 1659-1661 by designs of the architect Bartolomeo Provaglia. The interior portal has a scenic Baroque facade, while the external portal accentuates the defensive military role of a gate. The road from here led to Ferrara. In 1330–1333, the Cardinal Bertrand du Pouget ordered construction of a castle near this gate as part of a siege. By the twentieth-century the walls were torn down, and the gate isolated. Restorations were pursued in 1926 and in 2001–2003.
