Bow Common

The Limehouse Cut is a largely straight, broad canal in the East End of London which links the lower reaches of the Lee Navigation to the River Thames. Opening on 17 September 1770, and widened for two-way traffic by 1777, it is the oldest canal in the London area. Although short, it has a diverse social and industrial history. Formerly discharging directly into the Thames, since 1968 it has done so indirectly by a connection through Limehouse Basin. The Cut is about 1.4 miles (2.2 km) long. It turns in a broad curve from Bow Locks, where the Lee Navigation meets Bow Creek; it then proceeds directly south-west through the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, finally making a short hook to connect to Limehouse Basin.

Devons Road is a road in Bow Common and Bromley-by-Bow in east London. Part of the B140 road, it gives its name to the Devons Road DLR station.

The Church of the Holy Name and Our Lady of the Sacred Heart is a Roman Catholic church at 117 Bow Common Lane, E3 in Bow Common, East London. It is dedicated to the Holy Name of Jesus and Our Lady of the Sacred Heart and designed by Frederick Arthur Walters. It opened in 1894 and is now home to the Vietnamese chaplaincy in the Archdiocese of Westminster.

All Hallows, Bow (also known as All Hallows, Devons Road), is an Anglican church in Bow, London, England. It is within the Diocese of London.

Poplar was a local government district in the metropolitan area of London, England. It was formed as a district of the Metropolis in 1855 and became a metropolitan borough in the County of London in 1900. It comprised Poplar, Millwall, Bromley-by-Bow and Bow as well as Old Ford, Fish Island and Cubitt Town.

Bartlett Park is a public open space in Poplar in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets in London on Upper North Street. It is located to the south of the Limehouse Cut waterway and the Lansbury Estate to the south and east of the park. The whole landscape is 4.95 hectares (12.2 acres).

The Lansbury Estate is a large, historic council housing estate in Poplar and Bromley-by-Bow in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. It is named after George Lansbury, a Poplar councillor and Labour Party MP.

Spratt's Complex is a housing development in Poplar, London. The former pet food factory was converted into approximately 150 live-work units beginning in 1985. This was one of the first such warehouse conversions in London. The complex is on Morris Road, lining Limehouse Cut canal, and is situated between the DLR stations of Langdon Park and Devons Road. The complex, originally Spratt's dog biscuit factory, consists of six multi-storey warehouses made of reinforced concrete grouped around courtyards. Much of the original factory markings and lettering are visible on the buildings and on the small chimney visible from Morris Road. The complex is also locally known as "Spratt's Works" or "Spratt's Factory".

The Widow's Son is a Grade II* listed public house at 75 Devons Road, in Bromley-by-Bow in the East End of London. It was built in the early 19th century, possibly 1848, and the existing building is supposedly on the site of an old widow's cottage.Known locally as "Bun House", the pub has been host to a Good Friday tradition of storing hot cross buns in a net hanging over the bar.

Devons Road is a Docklands Light Railway (DLR) station located in between Bromley-by-Bow and Bow Common. The station takes its name from the B140 Devons Road and is between Langdon Park and Bow Church stations and is in Travelcard Zone 2. It is on the Stratford to Poplar branch of the DLR with services continuing on to Canary Wharf and Lewisham.

The Church of St Mary and St Joseph is a 20th-century Roman Catholic parish church in Tower Hamlets, London, England.

Mayflower Primary School is a primary school in the Poplar area of East London in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. Originating in 1843 and formerly called Upper North Street School, it was badly damaged in an air raid in 1917 during the First World War, resulting in the deaths of eighteen children. The school was rebuilt in 1928 and adopted its present name in 1952. The school was judged to be "outstanding" at an Ofsted inspection in 2017, and was awarded the title "Primary School of the Year" in 2020 by a national newspaper.
