West Ridge is a neighbourhood of Accra, Ghana, bounded to the south by Kinbu Gardens. Barnes Road serves as the neighbourhood's western boundary, while the Independence Avenue/Liberation Avenue is the eastern boundary. Castle Road separates West Ridge from the northern neighbourhood of North Ridge. The Accra branch of the British Council is located in West Ridge, off Liberia Road. Originally planned as a neighborhood for civil servants and businessmen in the colonial era, West Ridge is gradually being transformed into a commercial district. Among the new office towers cited in the district are the Heritage Tower, Accra Financial Centre, Ridge Tower, and Cedi House. The Movenpick Ambassador Hotel, originally the Ambassador Hotel and built as a gift by the United Kingdom to Ghana after independence in 1957, is located in West Ridge and caters to business clientele. The area of West Ridge, North Ridge, and East Ridge is collectively referred to as "Ridge." This area is populated by several major embassies, including those of Germany and the United Kingdom. In addition, several of Accra's upmarket hotels, and several Ghanaian administrative offices are located in this district.

The National Museum of Ghana is in the Ghanaian capital, Accra. It is the largest and oldest of the six museums under the administration of the Ghana Museums and Monuments Board (GMMB). The museum building was opened on 5 March 1957 as part of Ghana's independence celebrations. The official opening was performed by the Duchess of Kent, Princess Marina. The Museum's first Director was A.W. Lawrence.Objects of archaeology, ethnography as well as fine art find place in the National Museum building.

The Holy Spirit Cathedral, located in Accra, is the main church of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Accra. The first proposal to build a Catholic cathedral in Accra came from Apostolic Delegate David Matthews in 1947. This was enthusiastically taken up by Adolph Noser, who in 1950 became the first Bishop of Accra. Following a lengthy search for a suitable site, land in the West Ridge area of Adabraka was purchased from the British crown and the Methodist Church.The cathedral was designed by Joseph Jud, and groundbreaking took place in 1952. The first services took place the following year, although the building did not yet have a roof, and it was completed and consecrated in 1957. In 1958, the cathedral was given its own parish.

The Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) is the principal stock exchange of Ghana. The exchange was incorporated in July 1989 with trading commencing in 1990. It currently lists 42 equities (from 37 companies) and 2 corporate bonds. All types of securities can be listed. Criteria for listing include capital adequacy, profitability, spread of shares, years of existence and management efficiency. The GSE is located within the Cedi House in Accra.

The Accra Technical University (ATU) was established in 1949 as a Technical School in Ghana and commissioned in 1957 as Accra Technical Institute before being converted into a Polytechnic in 2007 by the Parliament of Ghana.It was later given a university status, becoming Accra Technical University (ATU) in 2016. The school is located in Accra, the capital city of Ghana. Accra Technical University focuses on equipping students with practical skills by providing them with technical and vocational education. The school offers a range of academic programs including applied sciences, engineering, business, arts, and design. ATU continues to play a crucial role in providing technical education and contributing to the development of skilled professional Ls both in Ghana and abroad.

Cedi House is a 14-storey building in Accra, Ghana that houses the Bank of Ghana and the Ghana Stock Exchange. ==History== The  Bank of Ghana (BoG) Office Building Annex  which is simply referred to as the CEDI House. Started in 1970 and completed in 1973, the building houses the Banking and Supervision  Departments as well as the Central Securities Depository of the BoG. It was designed by Ghanaian architect Professor John Owusu Addo, who is the brain behind many oter iconic buildings in Ghana, including the unity hall of KNUST.It also is home to the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) and a host of other prestigious companies and banks. Consisting of fourteen floors (14) with two (2) additional underground floors, the CEDI House is one of the tallest buildings in the country and its proximity to the Central Business District of Accra makes it a prime office location for top companies.

The Development Bank Ghana (DBG) is a government-owned development bank in Ghana. Owned by the government of Ghana, the institution has received grants and loans for on-lending to Ghana's commercial banks, from the African Development Bank, the World Bank Group, the European Investment Bank, and the German Development Bank. The African University College of Communications is a private tertiary institution at Adabraka, Accra, Ghana, for the study and teaching of journalism, communication studies, information technology convergence, business, African Studies, providing opportunities for advanced learning, and practical and professional training for the rapid growth and development of Africa.The university admitted the first batch of Diploma students for its Communication Studies programme in 2002, and was formally accredited as a tertiary institution by the National Accreditation Board (NAB) of Ghana in 2004.

The Multimedia Group is a media group in Ghana. It was established in 1995 and has six radio stations, six news websites and a satellite television network.The group has won several local and international awards for its leadership in information communication in Ghana and the world. Its pioneer radio station, Joy FM was adjudged the second best radio station on the African continent by the British Broadcasting Corporation in 2006.

Efua Sutherland Children's Park (also known as Children's Park) is a 14.83-acre (0.0600 km2) public park for children located opposite The National Theatre at West Ridge in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana. It was started in 1979 and known as Accra Children's Park or Ridge Park and later renamed after Ghanaian playwright and children's author, Efua Sutherland. As of 2019, the park has seen less development since its inception.

The National Theatre was opened in 1992 to spearhead the Theatre movement in Ghana by providing a multi-functional venue for concerts, dance, drama and musical performances, screenplays, exhibitions and special events. In Ghana, theatre as an artistic form has existed for centuries in the traditional dramatic expressions of society, however, the National Theatre Movement (NTM) was conceived around the time of Ghana's independence in 1957 to help remold the new nation's cultural identity. The theatre is governed by the National Theatre Law 1991, PNDC Law 259. The building houses the three resident companies of the National Dance Company, the National Symphony Orchestra, and the National Theatre Players.
