Quaderni is an Italian village and hamlet (frazione) of the commune of Villafranca di Verona, in the Veneto. It has an estimated population of 1,618.

Custoza (Italian: [kuˈstɔddza]; Venetian: Custoxa [kuˈstɔza]) is a northern Italian village and hamlet (frazione) of Sommacampagna, a municipality in the province of Verona, Veneto. As of 2011, its population was 812.

The Battle of Custoza took place on the 24 June 1866 during the Third Italian War of Independence in the Italian unification process. The Austrian Imperial army, joined by the Venetian Army, jointly commanded by Archduke Albrecht of Habsburg, defeated the Italian army, led by Alfonso Ferrero La Marmora and Enrico Cialdini.

The First Battle of Custoza was fought on July 24 and 25, 1848, during the First Italian War of Independence between the armies of the Austrian Empire, commanded by Field Marshal Radetzky, and the Kingdom of Sardinia, led by King Charles Albert of Piedmont-Sardinia.

Banat Air Flight 166 was an Antonov Antonov An-24 (registration YR-AMR) chartered on 13 December 1995 from Romavia by Banat Air. It was due to fly from Verona, Italy, to Timișoara, Romania, when it crashed shortly after take-off, killing all eight crewmembers and 41 passengers. It later emerged that the aircraft was severely overloaded and its wings were contaminated with ice and snow. The accident was the 116th loss of an Antonov 24.

The Visconti Bridge at Valeggio sul Mincio is a medieval viaduct over the Mincio River built at the end of the 14th century by Gian Galeazzo Visconti, Duke of Milan. Initially conceived as a fortified dam to divert the Mincio water flowing to Mantua, it has served as a bridge since then. Today, the ruined central span over the Mincio is replaced by a steel structure.

On August 2, 1919, a Caproni Ca.48 airliner crashed at Verona, Italy. All aboard died, with various sources placing the death toll at 14, 15, and 17. It was Italy‘s first commercial aviation disaster and the earliest heavier-than-air airliner disaster in history.
