The J. Leo Fairbanks House is a historic house in Salt Lake City, Utah. It was built in 1908 for artist J. Leo Fairbanks, whose father was painter John Fairbanks and whose brother was sculptor Avard Fairbanks. The house was designed in the Colonial Revival architectural style, and it was used as an artist studio by Fairbanks, his father and brother. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since April 26, 1984.

Third Presbyterian Church Parsonage is a historic Presbyterian parsonage at 1068 E. Blaine Avenue in Salt Lake City, Utah. The Late Victorian, Rectangular Block building was constructed in 1890. It was added to the National Register in 2000. It is significant for association with the Third Presbyterian Church of Salt Lake City, which itself "had a significant influence on the development of the southeast bench of the city", apparently spurring and reflecting non-Mormon development. According to its NRHP nomination, the "house was built c.1890 but its significance dates from 1912-1929 when it was owned by the church and served as the minister's residence."

Red Butte Creek is a small stream whose headwaters are found in the northeast part of Salt Lake County, Utah, United States. It flows west through the Red Butte Garden and Arboretum, by the University of Utah, Fort Douglas and flows southwesterly to Salt Lake City’s Liberty Park. Despite 7.25 sq mi (18.8 km2) of the watershed, Red Butte Canyon is the smallest canyon of the seven canyons in eastern Salt Lake County. Its elevation ranges from 5,000 to 8,000 ft (1,500 to 2,400 m) above sea level.

Westminster College is a private college in Salt Lake City, Utah. The college comprises four schools: the School of Arts and Sciences, the Bill and Vieve Gore School of Business, the School of Education, and the School of Nursing and Health Sciences.

Converse Hall is one of the oldest and central buildings on the campus of Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah, United States. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.

Allen Park, commonly known as "Hobbitville," is an eight-acre property in Salt Lake City, Utah. The park was developed in the 1930s by Dr. George A. Allen as a bird sanctuary and later became the subject of local folklore, with myths suggesting it was inhabited by small, secretive people. Despite these stories, the park was primarily a residential area and has since been preserved as a public space following its purchase by Salt Lake City in 2020.

The George Arbuckle House, at 747 E. 17th South in Salt Lake City, Utah, was built around 1890. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.It is a one-and-a-half-story brick, Late Gothic Revival-style house, with two steep front-facing gables.It is located in the Sugar House neighborhood.

Out of the Blue is a public art installation located at 900 S and 1100 E in Salt Lake City, Utah, United States. Located in the middle of a roundabout, the sculpture depicts the top-half of a humpback whale.., painted with multiple bright colors. The structure is locally referred to as "The 9th and 9th Whale". The sculpture was created with help from the Salt Lake City Public Arts Program. According to the Salt Lake City Public Arts Program, the sculpture is " ...designed to complement and augment the unique and welcoming identity of the 9th and 9th area."

Erected in 1930, the Sugar House Monument has long stood as a testament to the hard work of early Salt Lake pioneers making the valley sustainable. In 1855, city leaders and early Mormon settlers sought to create the first factory in the western United States to process beets into refined sugar. They decided to purchase the machinery needed for a newly invented process to produce sugar from sugar beets. A mill was built in downtown Sugar House to house the machinery. The process was a failure and in the summer of 1855, Brigham Young ordered the mill to shut down. The old sugar mill building was then converted to a paper factory in 1860, then a bucket factory and finally a machine shop for the Utah Central Railroad until 1928. Despite the failed sugar mill, Sugar House prospered as Salt Lake's second downtown thanks to local merchants and a bustling streetcar system. In the 1920s, sculptor Millard F. Malin pitched the idea of erecting a monument in honor of early manufacturing to the Sugar House Business Men's League. The league and the city of Salt Lake jointly funded the $2,000 monument sculpted by Malin and his two fellow artists; Edward Anderson and Lorenzo Young. The monument was completed and dedicated on November 11, 1934. The obelisk stands approximately 200 feet east of the original site of a Mormon Pioneer sugar mill. Malin describes the monument as: a fifty foot shaft topped by a light. Near the top, the shaft blended into two Indian figures in relief, about eight feet tall, representing the passing of the red man. The Indian facing eastward, militant, holds war implements, and the one facing westward, defeated holds a peace pipe. At the foot of the shaft, facing eastward and westward, are two eight foot figures. The female figure facing eastward represents the Salt Lake Valley in all its productiveness... The male figure facing westward, pouring water from an urn over a wheel, represents a mill builder... On the sides of the shaft between the two figures were two bas-reliefs representing, on the north side, the original old sugar mill, and on the south side, a fur-trading scene in Mr. Smoot's old trading post which once occupied that corner. (The latter plaque has never been completed. The one on the north side, representing the old sugar mill, was added to the monument in 1948) The plaque reads "May the spirit of this courageous venture continue to characterize this community". It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.

Sugar House is a neighborhood in Salt Lake City, Utah. The name is officially two words, although it is often colloquially written as "Sugarhouse." As a primary commercial and residential hub of the region, it is often referred to as Salt Lake's "Second Downtown." Once a primarily residential area with a suburban-style retail hub, the neighborhood has transformed in recent years as mid-rise offices, residential blocks, and hotels have been constructed in the vicinity of Sugar House Park. Sugar House is the site of Westminster College.

The Granite Stake Tabernacle is a tabernacle of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Sugar House District of Salt Lake City, Utah, United States. It has historic significance to the area and was listed in the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 2003 (a nomination the LDS church itself opposed).

The Lefler-Woodman Building is a historic building in Salt Lake City, Utah. The building was first erected as the Lefler Flour Mill for John Marshall Lefler, an immigrant from Canada, and completed in 1878. It was later joined by the Woodman Building, built for John A. and Frank H. Woodman and completed in 1911. The structure was designed in the Late Victorian style by architect George S. Walker. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since December 17, 1992.
