Greenwood College School is an independent co-educational middle school and high school that is located on the south-east corner of Mount Pleasant Road and Davisville Avenue in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Davisville Village is an area of Toronto near the intersection of Davisville Avenue and Yonge Street. There is a subway station named Davisville at this intersection. The area directly abuts Mount Pleasant Cemetery, and has many massive apartment and condominium complexes built between the 1970s and the 2000s, as well as a number of office buildings. The area is an attractive area in Midtown Toronto between St Clair and Eglinton. Davisville Village is represented at Toronto City Council by Councillor Josh Matlow.

The Regent Theatre is a live theatre and cinema venue in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It opened in 1927 showing silent films as the Belsize Theatre, referring to its location on Mt. Pleasant Road at Belsize Drive. It operated as the Belsize until 1950, when it was renovated and renamed the Crest Theatre. In 1954, it became a live theatre venue supporting the Crest Theatre Foundation theatre company. After the company vacated the theatre in 1966, it returned to showing films, showing first-run and repertory films. In 1988, it was renamed the Regent theatre. In 2020, it was bought and is currently closed, in the process of being renovated to become again a live theatre space.

Sunnybrook School (SBS) is a coeducational, private elementary school offering Junior Kindergarten to Grade 6, with one class per grade. Founded in 1952 as one of Toronto’s first Preschools, Sunnybrook is located on a residential street in North Toronto, specifically in the Mount Pleasant West area of Davisville Village west of Bayview Avenue. Sunnybrook School has been family-run for over 60 years. In April 1999, Sunnybrook School became Canada’s first English speaking school to implement the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP). In 2002, Sunnybrook School became the first authorized IB PYP school in Canada outside of Quebec. Since 1960, the school has occupied its own purpose built premises, which have been renovated and enlarged three times (1985, 1998, 2011).

Mount Pleasant Cemetery is a cemetery located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and is part of the Mount Pleasant Group of Cemeteries. It was opened in November 1876 and is located north of Moore Park, a neighbourhood of Toronto. The cemetery has kilometres of drives and walking paths interspersed with fountains, statues and botanical gardens, as well as rare and distinct trees. It was originally laid out by German-born landscape architect Henry Adolph Engelhardt, inspired by the European and American garden cemeteries of the 19th century, and with influences from Mount Auburn Cemetery in Boston.As the final resting place of more than 168,000 persons, Mount Pleasant Cemetery contains remarkable architecture amongst its many monuments. The cemetery was designated a National Historic Site of Canada in 2000.

The First Christian Reformed Church of Toronto is a congregation of the Christian Reformed Church in North America in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is one of the more liberal churches in its classis and the denomination. It was the first CRC parish to call a woman minister and declared itself open to gays and lesbians in committed relationships serving as deacons and elders. This was later rescinded in the face of pressure from the Toronto Classis (the leaders of Christian Reformed churches in the area).

Spectrum Alternative School is an alternative education middle school of Toronto's Mount Pleasant west district that was established in 1978. Its original teachers included Ellen Dorfman, Brian Taylor, and David Clyne who all came from Deer Park Senior Public school in a program called Spectrum. It was the first alternative school for grade 7 and 8 students. The school was proposed in 1978 but was strongly opposed by the Toronto Area 6 superintendent. Due to intense parental lobbying of the TDSB the school was later created. Its original ethos was inspired by schools such as the Summerhill school and was taught in a democratic fashion. The program focused on highly motivated students who wished to work independently. Original goals of the school included: -Small group instruction -Individualized goal-setting and evaluation -Guest speakers, field trips and community projects -Art, music and art exhibits -Mock Parliament and simulations -Literary and arts magazine -Community Fund raising Originally sharing the building with Eglinton PS the school moved to Davisville Public School at 43 Millwood Rd, Toronto in 2011, and as such the school is directed by the same principal. Its current alternative status arises largely from the small and intimate class sizes, which are represented by about 30 students per the two grades. Although Spectrum Alternative is a public school within the TDSB, prospective students must undergo an application process to be admitted. Spectrum Four teachers deliver the curriculum, while encouraging close relationships among students, and between students and teachers. Subjects are delivered in large blocks of time. Independent studies, special projects and hands-on-learning form much of the curriculum. Over the recent years the school has adopted an art-focus.

Mount Pleasant is an underground light rail transit (LRT) station under construction on Line 5 Eglinton, a new line that is part of the Toronto subway system. The station will be located in North Toronto at the intersection of Mount Pleasant Road and Eglinton Avenue. Nearby destinations include Northern Secondary School and the Davisville Village neighbourhood. It is scheduled to open in 2023.

The Municipality of Metropolitan Toronto was an upper-tier level of municipal government in Ontario, Canada, from 1953 to 1998. It was made up of the old city of Toronto and numerous townships, towns and villages that surrounded Toronto, which were starting to urbanize rapidly after World War II. It was commonly referred to as "Metro Toronto" or "Metro". Passage of the 1997 City of Toronto Act caused the 1998 amalgamation of Metropolitan Toronto and its constituents into the current City of Toronto. The boundaries of present-day Toronto are the same as those of Metropolitan Toronto upon its dissolution: Lake Ontario to the south, Etobicoke Creek and Highway 427 to the west, Steeles Avenue to the north, and the Rouge River to the east.

Northern Secondary School (often referred to as Northern Secondary, Northern, or NSS) is a public high school in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It teaches grades 9 through 12. It is a part of the Toronto District School Board (TDSB). Prior to Amalgamation of Toronto in 1998, it was within the Toronto Board of Education (TBE). The closest TTC subway station is Eglinton. Northern has long-standing rivalries with nearby high-school North Toronto Collegiate Institute and also with Central Technical School, Lawrence Park Collegiate Institute, York Mills Collegiate Institute and Leaside High School.
