Sunnybrook School (SBS) is a coeducational, private elementary school offering Junior Kindergarten to Grade 6, with one class per grade. Founded in 1952 as one of Toronto’s first Preschools, Sunnybrook is located on a residential street in North Toronto, specifically in the Mount Pleasant West area of Davisville Village west of Bayview Avenue. Sunnybrook School has been family-run for over 60 years. In April 1999, Sunnybrook School became Canada’s first English speaking school to implement the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP). In 2002, Sunnybrook School became the first authorized IB PYP school in Canada outside of Quebec. Since 1960, the school has occupied its own purpose built premises, which have been renovated and enlarged three times (1985, 1998, 2011).

Davisville Village is an area of Toronto near the intersection of Davisville Avenue and Yonge Street. There is a subway station named Davisville at this intersection. The area directly abuts Mount Pleasant Cemetery, and has many massive apartment and condominium complexes built between the 1970s and the 2000s, as well as a number of office buildings. Vale of Avoca is the name of a large viaduct which carries St. Clair Avenue East over a ravine of the same name, in Toronto, Canada. Located just east of Yonge Street, the current triple arch bridge, also known as the St. Clair Viaduct, was built to connect the well-established community of Deer Park with the developing community of Moore Park in the 1920s. The bridge replaced an older structure and straightened the alignment of St. Clair Avenue in the process. A small channelized tributary of the Don River, known as Yellow Creek, weaves beneath the central span. Much of David A. Balfour Park (named for the Toronto city councillor) consists of a nature trail that winds through the Vale of Avoca Ravine; the park also includes a grassy recreational area near an inlet into which Yellow Creek flows. The bridge and the ravine it crosses is named after a poem by Thomas Moore.

Mud Creek, is a mostly buried south-easterly tributary of the Don River in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It has also been known at different times as Mount Pleasant Brook and Spring Valley Creek.At its full former reach, the source of Mud Creek began near Downsview Airport and flowed approximately 11.5km southeast to its mouth at the Don River. Now considered one of Toronto's lost rivers, much of the creek is now buried, with the sole surface portions visible consisting of a 2.1km stretch starting from Moore Park Ravine at the Moore Park neighbourhood to the Don River. However, with positive results of recent conservation efforts, it is also brought forward as a success story for good ravine management.

Yellow Creek is a partially-buried southeasterly tributary of the Don River in Toronto. It has also been known at different times as Silver Creek, Sylvan Creek, and Rosedale Brook. The former source of Yellow Creek begins near Sheppard West station in the Downsview neighbourhood. Most of the creek and its sources are buried underground in storm sewers until they emerge into Avoca Ravine in the Deer Park neighbourhood and continue their way to the Don River.

The school serves students from kindergarten to grade eight, acting as an elementary and junior high school. It is on Ferndale Avenue, two blocks east of Yonge Street, just off St. Clair Avenue.

Moore Park is a neighbourhood in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is one of Toronto's most affluent neighbourhoods. Toronto Life ranked the Rosedale-Moore Park neighbourhood as the best neighbourhood to live in Toronto. It lies along both sides of St. Clair Avenue East between the Vale of Avoca ravine and Moore Park ravine (formerly Spring Valley ravine). The northern boundary is Mount Pleasant Cemetery and the southern the Canadian Pacific Railway tracks. The neighbourhood takes its name from its developer, John T. Moore. To encourage buyers, he built two bridges in 1891: the original steel bridge on St. Clair over the Vale of Avoca, and the original wooden bridge on Moore Avenue over Spring Valley ravine. He also helped establish railway service to the neighbourhood, overseeing the connection of the area to the Toronto Belt Line Railway, a commuter railway. The development was marketed to the wealthy, and the neighbourhood remains wealthy. Moore Park was annexed by the City of Toronto on December 16, 1912.Census tract 0125.00 of the 2016 Canadian census covers Moore Park. Average income is CA$247,040, one of the highest incomes of all Toronto neighbourhoods. The neighbourhood’s average income is comparable, if not higher than parts of neighbouring Rosedale.

David A. Balfour Park is an urban park in the Deer Park neighbourhood of Toronto near the intersection of Yonge Street and St. Clair Avenue. The park made up of 20.5 hectares of green space consisting of the greenery-covered Rosehill Reservoir and the entirety of the Vale of Avoca with its system of trails.The park is named after David A. Balfour, a former Toronto city Councillor.
