It became part of the AdventHealth hospital network following a merger with University Community Health in September 2010. In the 1990s, there was a feud over the hospital between Tarpon Springs and the Tarpon Springs Hospital Foundation. Before merging the hospital had been in debt and owed over $31 million, due to this Standard & Poor's gave it a "junk bond level". AdventHealth North Pinellas has been evacuated three times due to hurricanes since 2017.

Lake Tarpon is a freshwater lake located about 10 miles (16 km) west of Tampa in Palm Harbor and Tarpon Springs, Florida. Lake Tarpon is the largest freshwater lake in Pinellas County with a surface area of 2,534 acres (10.25 km2). Its watershed encompasses 52 square miles (130 km2). Its two largest tributaries are South Creek and Brooker Creek. The lake is a regional recreational destination and is renowned for its largemouth bass fishing.Although Lake Tarpon is designated as a fishing lake, it fails to meet the EPA's standards, and is therefore listed as an impaired lake due to its excessive nutrients and resulting low dissolved oxygen levels. The lake underwent increasing eutrophication during the 1990s, following a large algal bloom in 1987. Although initial studies determined that the lake was not polluted, studies in the following years noted a decline in the lake's water quality.

Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club is a hotel and country club resort in the southeastern United States, located in Palm Harbor, Florida, northwest of Tampa. The complex consists of a 620-room hotel, four golf courses, spa, three restaurants, and conference facilities. The Innisbrook Resort has been owned and operated by Salamander Hotels & Resorts since July 2007, having previously been owned by the Golf Trust investment group since 2004 under the Westin Hotels & Resorts brand.

The Arcade Hotel (also known as the Shaw Arcade or Howard Hotel) is a historic hotel in Tarpon Springs, Florida, United States. It is located at 210 South Pinellas Avenue. On January 12, 1984, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. Several guests had stayed there throughout the 1930s and committed suicide in the hotel after Black Tuesday, the beginning of the Great Depression. The building now houses several shop. It is located on alt. 19 in Tarpon Springs Florida, near the historic downtown.

Built in 1915, the Old Tarpon Springs City Hall is a historic site in Tarpon Springs, Florida. It is located at 101 South Pinellas Avenue. On August 10, 1990, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. It was designed by renowned architect Ernest Ivey Cook in the neoclassical style.

The Tarpon Springs Cultural Center includes the Center for Gulf Coast Folklife and located in Tarpon Springs, Florida at 101 South Pinellas Avenue in Old Tarpon Springs City Hall.

The Tarpon Springs Depot is a former railroad depot built by the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad in 1909, located in downtown Tarpon Springs, Florida at 160 East Tarpon Avenue within the Tarpon Springs Historic District.The former rail line that serviced the depot, originally built by the Orange Belt Railway in 1888 and last used for a series of special excursion trips to nearby Dunedin and back on March 8, 1987, was converted into a section of the Pinellas Trail in the 1990s.

The Tarpon Springs Historic District is a U.S. historic district in Tarpon Springs, Florida. It is bounded by Read Street, Hibiscus Street, Orange Street, Levis Avenue, Lemon Street and Spring Bayou, encompasses approximately 700 acres (2.8 km2), and contains 145 historic buildings. On December 6, 1990, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.

St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral is a Greek Orthodox parish and center for Greek-American life in Tarpon Springs, Florida. Its noted Neo-Byzantine church is located at 36 North Pinellas Avenue.St. Nicholas hosts an annual Epiphany celebration on January 6, in which Greek Orthodox boys aged 16 to 18 dive into Spring Bayou to retrieve a white wooden cross, said to bring the finder blessings for the year. It is the largest such event in the Western Hemisphere, with thousands in attendance. A statue of an epiphany diver is located in front of the church.

Tarpon Springs is a city in Pinellas County, Florida, United States. The population was 23,484 at the 2010 census. Tarpon Springs has the highest percentage of Greek Americans of any city in the US. Downtown Tarpon Springs has long been a focal point and is undergoing beautification.
