Ffairfach railway station

Ffairfach is a village one-half mile (0.80 km) south of the market town of Llandeilo in the eastern part of Carmarthenshire, Wales. It is close to the confluence of the Afon Cennen and the River Towy. Population is 516 according to 2017 census.

Llandilo Bridge railway station served the town of Llandeilo, in the historical county of Carmarthenshire, Wales, from 1865 to 1963 on the Llanelly Railway.

The Afon Cennen is a river in the county of Carmarthenshire, south Wales. It rises on the northern slopes of the Black Mountain to the east of the summit of Tair Carn Uchaf and flows north to Blaencennen Farm, then westwards past Carreg Cennen Castle, continuing through the village of Trap where it exits the Brecon Beacons National Park. Near the hamlet of Derwydd it turns northwest for a mile then northeast to run through the village of Ffairfach to its confluence with the River Towy opposite Llandeilo.The name could derive either from 'cen' meaning lichen or else from a personal name.

Ysgol Tre-Gib was a bilingual, English language / Welsh language comprehensive school for pupils aged 11 yrs to 18 years based in Ffairfach, Llandeilo in Carmarthenshire, Wales, bordering on the Brecon Beacons National Park. The school served a large catchment area from Llandovery to the north to Ammanford to the south. Some famous rugby union players attended this school, including Luke Charteris, who now plays for the Bath. Plans were afoot to merge Ysgol Tre-Gib with Llandovery's Ysgol Pantycelyn, with the new school being called Ysgol Dyffryn Tywi. However, there was opposition to the closure of Llandovery's main school. The new school is called Ysgol Bro Dinefwr, and all pupils moved to the new campus in September 2016.

Llandeilo Bridge (Welsh: Pont Llandeilo) is a Grade II* listed road bridge crossing the River Towy in Llandeilo, Carmarthenshire, Wales. It carries the main A483 road towards Ffairfach.

Ysgol Bro Dinefwr is a bilingual secondary school for pupils aged 11–19 in Ffairfach, Carmarthenshire. As of 2016, the school had 1,182 pupils on roll, with approximately 200 of those pupils in the sixth form.

The St Teilo's Church, is an Anglican parish church in the town of Llandeilo, Carmarthenshire, Wales. The fabric of the building has medieval origins but stands on a much older site and was rebuilt in the early eighteenth century. It was designated as a Grade II listed building on 14 March 1966

The Battle of Llandeilo Fawr took place during the conquest of Wales by Edward I, at Llandeilo between an English army led by Gilbert de Clare, 6th Earl of Hertford, and a south Welsh army.

St Tyfi's Church is the former parish church of Llandyfeisant, near Llandeilo and part of the Dinefwr Park estate in Carmarthenshire, Wales. It was dedicated to the Welsh saint Tyfei, nephew of Saint Teilo.

Llandeilo (Welsh pronunciation: [ɬanˈdeilɔ]) is a town and community in Carmarthenshire, Wales, situated at the crossing of the River Towy by the A483 on a 19th-century stone bridge. Its population was 1,795 at the 2011 Census. It is adjacent to the westernmost point of the Brecon Beacons National Park. The town is served by Llandeilo railway station on the Heart of Wales Line. In 2021, The Sunday Times called the town one of the top six places to live in Wales. The newspaper praised the town as a ‘sophisticated shopping destination and a great showcase for local arts and crafts’.

Llandeilo railway station (formerly Llandilo Junction for the Carmarthen Line) serves the town of Llandeilo, Carmarthenshire. The station is 30+3⁄4 miles (49 km) north east of Swansea on the Heart of Wales Line. The station is located below the eastern side of the town beside the River Tywi. Dinefwr Castle is within walking distance. All trains serving the station are operated by Transport for Wales.

Dyffryn Cennen is a community located in Carmarthenshire, Wales. The population of the community taken at the 2011 census was 1,176.The community is bordered by the communities of: Manordeilo and Salem; Llangadog; Cwmamman; Llandybie; Llanfihangel Aberbythych; and Llandeilo, all being in Carmarthenshire. It includes the villages of Ffairfach and Trapp. The community is part of the Llandeilo electoral ward for elections to Carmarthenshire County Council.
