The village comprises a number of council and private housing estates and the small parish church of St Mary's, Pickersleigh, and a Tesco convenience store that opened in 2011 on the site of a former pub, The New Gas Tavern.

The village comprises several shops, a traditional English pub, and a number of council and private housing estates. St Andrew's C of E parish church was built in Early English style in 1882 as a memorial to a member of the Chance Brothers glass manufacturing family. The village occupies the geographical centre of the Chase ward of Malvern Town Council.

Malvern St James is an independent school for girls in Great Malvern, Worcestershire, England. Founded in 1893 as Malvern Girls' College, it was renamed Malvern St James following a merger in 2006 with St James's School in West Malvern. It continues to occupy the same campus as the former college, which includes as its main building the former Imperial Hotel, taken over for use as a school by Malvern Girls' College in 1919. The school comprises three sections: a Prep Department for girls aged 4–11, a Senior School for girls aged 11–16, and a Sixth Form for girls aged 16–18.

The Chase School is a secondary school (ages 11–18) in Malvern, Worcestershire, England. The school opened as a Secondary Modern in 1953 under headteacher Mr Garth. It was officially opened by Lord Cobham on 26 March 1955. The Chase became a comprehensive with the abolition of selective education in Worcestershire in 1974 and became an academy on 1 November 2011. Teaching students from Year 7 to Year 13, The Chase has around 1,300 students, making it one of the larger schools in Worcestershire, with just under 300 students in the sixth form.The school is located in Barnards Green, a suburb of Malvern, adjacent to the sites of QinetiQ and the Malvern Hills Science Park. Links between the school and these organisations have led to the establishment of the Cyber-security Apprentice Development Scheme, an apprenticeship initiative aimed to encourage more students into the cyber security sector.

Great Malvern railway station is one of two stations serving the town of Malvern, Worcestershire, England (the other being Malvern Link station) on the Hereford to Worcester section of the Cotswold Line. Newland is a village and civil parish on the north-eastern edge of Malvern Link, Worcestershire, England, on the A449 road. The village lies on the edge of the 6.5 hectare Newland Common, which is protected by the Malvern Hills Conservators and is centred on the traditional English Swan Inn public house. Adjacent to the Swan is a cricket field run as part of Barnards Green Cricket Club. Both the Swan and the cricket field are owned by the Trustees of the Madresfield Estate - a large local landowner. There is no shop or post office in the village. The population of the parish was 310 in 2011.

Madresfield is a village and civil parish in the administrative district of Malvern Hills in the county of Worcestershire, England. It is located about two miles east of Malvern town centre at the foot of the Malvern Hills and is less than two miles from the River Severn. Surrounded by farms and common land, it has a clear view of the entire range of the Malvern Hills, and is part of the informal region referred to as The Malverns.

The Church of St Matthias is an Anglican place of worship in Malvern Link, England. Prior to the establishment of this church, the residents of Malvern Link had to walk 3 miles to their parish church, St. Edburga's Church in Leigh. The Rector of Leigh, Henry Somers-Cocks, requested Earl Somers to provide some land for a new church, which he did on 27 December 1843, the form of Link Meadow.The initial church was designed by Sir George Gilbert Scott. It seated 300 people, and cost £1,900 to build. It was completed in 1846 and consecrated by Bishop Pepys of Worcester on 13 January. In 1858, the church was extended to the south, and a new tower was added in 1862.In 1880, the church was found to be too small, and the decision was made to extend it eastwards. Tenders were invited, and Thomas Collins of Tewkesbury, who estimated the costs to be £2,400. The costs of this extension were principally met by Earl Beauchamp. The architect for the new church was Frederick William Hunt of London.The present tower was added in 1889. The tower holds a ring of ten bells cast by John Taylor & Co, the world's largest working bell foundry. Bell #10 was cast in 1899, #1 and 2 in 1993, and #3 to 9 in 1900. The Tenor, the heaviest, weighs 16 cwt and is tuned to F#. The first full peal of Grandsire Triples was rung on 1 June 1901, in St Matthias.The chapel screens are the work of Robert Thompson, the 'mouseman' of Kilburn in Yorkshire.
