The HaSharon Subdistrict is one of Israel's subdistricts in Central District. The subdistrict is composed of most of Mandatory Tulkarm Subdistrict that was occupied by the newly established state of Israel in 1949. The rest of Mandatory Tulkarm Subdistrict to the East of the Green Line constitutes modern Tulkarm Governorate. The Principal city of this subdistrict is Netanya.

The Central Library for Blind and Reading Impaired People (Israel) (Hebrew: הספרייה המרכזית לעיוורים ולבעלי לקויות קריאה), formerly known as The Central Library for the Blind, Visually Impaired and Handicapped, supplies people who cannot read books, for various disabilities, with books which are suitable for them, either in Braille, large print, or in recorded formats.

Yeshurun Hall (Hebrew: אולם ישורון) is an indoor basketball hall in Netanya, Israel and the home of Elitzur Ironi Netanya. Nicknamed "HaKufsal", it has a capacity of 1,000.The hall has also been used for the Maccabiah Games.

Netanya (also Natanya, Hebrew: נְתַנְיָה) is a city in the Northern Central District of Israel, and is the capital of the surrounding Sharon plain. It is 30 km (18.6 mi) north of Tel Aviv, and 56 km (34.8 mi) south of Haifa, between the Poleg stream and the Wingate Institute in the south and the Avihayil stream in the north. Netanya was named in honor of Nathan Straus, a prominent Jewish American merchant and philanthropist in the early 20th century who was the co-owner of Macy's department store. Its 14 km (8.7 mi) of beaches have made the city a popular tourist resort. In 2021, it had a population of 224,066, making it the 7th-largest city in Israel by population. An additional 150,000 people live in the local and regional councils within 10 km (6 mi) of Netanya, which serves as a regional center for them. The city mayor is Miriam Feirberg.

The Sea Opera Towers (Hebrew: אופרה על הים) is a complex of two luxury beachfront residential skyscrapers in the Israeli city of Netanya. Sea Opera 1 was completed in 2005, and is 87 metres high, with 28 floors. It was the tallest tower in the city until the completion of Sea Opera 2 in 2009. This tower is 109 metres (358 ft) high with 33 floors and was the residential tower with the most floors outside of the Gush Dan Tel Aviv Metropolitan Area and the tenth-tallest residential building in Israel. However, taller residential towers have since been built in Netanya and elsewhere. The towers are clad in light- and dark-grey granite stone and comprise the tallest residential-only complex north of the Tel Aviv metropole. It includes a 6,500-square-metre (70,000 sq ft) park, outdoor swimming pool, jacuzzi, private sauna and gym.

The 2001 Netanya bombing was a suicide bombing which occurred on March 4, 2001, at the center of the business district of Netanya, Israel. Three civilians were killed in the attack and over 60 people were injured.

The Netanya Market bombing was a suicide bombing which occurred on 19 May 2002 at the entrance to the main fruit and vegetable open-air market in Netanya. The site of the attack was chosen in order to cause maximum number of casualties. Three people were killed in the attack, and 56–59 were injured.

Sar-Tov Stadium (Hebrew: איצטדיון שר-טוב, Itztadion Sar-Tov), commonly known as HaKufsa (lit. The Box) was a football stadium in Netanya, Israel. It was used mostly for football matches and was the home stadium of Maccabi Netanya. It is set to be demolished to make way for a new housing development after Maccabi Netanya moved to the new Netanya Stadium.

The July 2005 HaSharon Mall bombing was a suicide bombing which occurred on July 12, 2005 in the HaSharon Mall in Netanya, Israel. 5 civilians were killed in the attack. The Palestinian Islamist militant organization Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for the attack.

The December 2005 HaSharon Mall bombing was a terror attack carried out on December 5, 2005 in the HaSharon Mall in Netanya, Israel. Five people were killed and over forty injured in the attack. The Palestinian Islamist militant organization Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for the attack.

Laniado Hospital, also known as the Sanz Medical Center, is a voluntary, not-for-profit hospital in Kiryat Sanz, Netanya, Israel, serving a regional population of over 450,000 in Netanya and the Sharon plain. Opened in 1975 by Rabbi Yekusiel Yehudah Halberstam, the first Klausenburger Rebbe, Laniado Hospital is run according to Jewish law and is known as the only hospital in Israel which has never closed due to a strike. It is administered by the Sanz-Klausenburg Hasidic dynasty under the direction of the present Sanz-Klausenburger Rebbe in israel, Rabbi Zvi Elimelech Halberstam. Though it is not a major emergency-care center, Laniado served a critical role as a triage hospital during more than 20 Netanya-area suicide bombings and terrorist attacks in the Second Intifada. The worst of these was the 2002 Passover massacre at the Park Hotel, located three minutes from the hospital. Laniado also treated wounded soldiers from the First and Second Lebanon War. Hospital personnel have developed an emergency preparedness protocol that regularly updates surgeons, trauma specialists, cardiologists and pediatricians on their roles during an emergency.
