Reinhardtsdorf Sandstone

The Wolfsberg is a 342.9 m high hill in Saxon Switzerland in the German Free State of Saxony.

The Pflanzengarten Bad Schandau (6100 m²) is a botanical garden located in the Saxon Switzerland National Park on the Kirnitzschtalstraße, Bad Schandau, Saxony, Germany. It is open daily in the warmer months. The garden opened in 1902 as the Regionalbotanischer Garten Sachsens (Saxon Regional Botanical Garden), with a goal of preserving local plants, including rare poisonous and medicinal plants. As of 2002, it contained nearly 1000 taxa from cool and moist climates around the world, but focuses on plants of the Saxon Switzerland area, including 323 species from the area, of which about 80 species were protected or on Saxony's Red List.

The Krippenbach is a small river of Saxony, Germany. It is a left tributary of the Elbe, which it joins in Krippen, near Bad Schandau. It has an elevation of 136 meters. Its name comes from Krippen, a small fishing hamlet on the river. It was used to power mills in hamlets and villages.

Krippen (German: Bahnhof Krippen) is a railway station in the village of Krippen in the municipality of Bad Schandau, Saxony, Germany. The station was opened with the Königstein–Krippen section of the Děčín–Dresden-Neustadt railway (then known as the Saxon-Bohemian Railway—Sächsisch-Böhmische Staatseisenbahn) as Schandau station on 9 June 1850. It was renamed Krippen in 1877 when Bad Schandau station opened. The station is served by the Dresden S-Bahn S1 service from Meißen, Dresden, Heidenau, Pirna to Schöna. There is also a Regionalbahn (National Park Railway) service every 2 hours from Děčín to Rumburk via Bad Schandau and Sebnitz.

The Bad Schandau Elevator is a passenger truss-tower elevator built in 1904 at Bad Schandau, a spa town in Saxony, Germany. The height of the elevator is 52.6 metres (173 ft), in an art nouveau-style steel framework tower, which has a diameter of 5.2 metres (17 ft) at the ground and at the door such of 2.5 metres (8.2 ft). On the way upward it overcomes a difference in height of 47.76 metres (156.7 ft). It functions as an observation tower.

The Liethen Mill (German: Liethenmühle) is a former watermill in the village of Kleinhennersdorf in the municipality of Gohrisch in Saxon Switzerland in East Germany. It is used today as a forest inn and bed and breakfast.

Saxon Switzerland (German: Sächsische Schweiz) is the largest and one of the best-known climbing regions in Germany, located in the Free State of Saxony. The region is largely coterminous with the natural region of the same name, Saxon Switzerland, but extends well beyond the territory of the National Park within it. It includes the western part of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains and is the oldest non-Alpine climbing region in Germany. Its history of climbing dates back to the first ascent in modern times of the Falkenstein by Bad Schandau gymnasts in 1864. Currently, there are over 1,100 summits with more than 17,000 climbing routes in the Saxon Switzerland area.

The Kleine Zschirnstein ("Little Zschirnstein") is a 472.7-metre-high (1,551 ft) table hill in the Elbe Sandstone Mountains in Saxony. It is located north of the Großer Zschirnstein above the village of Kleingießhübel. The summit plateau rises gently from east to west and is covered in forest. Whilst the southern end of the table descends gradually, there are steep rock faces on the northern side with several free-standing climbing summits. From the top there is an extensive view into Saxon-Bohemian Switzerland.

The Zschirnsteine are two prominent table hills in the German part of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains. They are located in the municipality of Reinhardtsdorf-Schöna, about 7 km south of the German resort of Bad Schandau. They lie west of the River Elbe and not far north of the Czech border. The 561 m high Großer Zschirnstein ("Great Zschirnstein") is the highest hill in Saxon Switzerland. The Kleiner Zschirnstein ("Little Zschirnstein") is also a sandstone table hill. It is 473 m high and lies north of the Großer Zschirnstein. Both tables lie in the midst of a forest and may be climbed on foot. They offer extensive views of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains and beyond. A good base for walking to the hills is the Panoramahotel Wolfsberg near the village of Reinhardtsdorf.

Bad Schandau (German: [baːt ˈʃandaʊ] (listen); Upper Sorbian: Žandow) is a spa town in Germany, in the Sächsische Schweiz-Osterzgebirge district of Saxony. It is situated on the right bank of the Elbe, at the mouth of the valley of the Kirnitzsch and in the area often described as Saxon Switzerland.

Reinhardtsdorf-Schöna is a municipality in the Sächsische Schweiz-Osterzgebirge district in the German federal state of Saxony. It has a population of approximately 1,600 and is located close to the Czech border in Saxon Switzerland, a popular tourist region.

The Schrammsteine are a long, strung-out, very jagged group of rocks in the Elbe Sandstone Mountains located east of Bad Schandau in Saxon Switzerland in eastern Germany. To the north they are bordered by the Kirnitzsch valley, to the south by the Elbe valley and to the east by the Affensteine rocks. The high point of the chain lies at over 400 m above sea level (HN). The viewing point on the Schrammsteine lies at a height of 417.2 m above HN.
