Oxwick is a hamlet in the English county of Norfolk. It lies close to the source of the River Wensum and lies one mile south of the village of Colkirk . The hamlets name means 'Ox specialised farm'.

Whissonsett is a village and a civil parish in the English county of Norfolk. The village is 5.0 miles (8.0 km) south of Fakenham, 23 miles (37 km) west-north-west of Norwich and 112 miles (180 km) north-north-east of London. The nearest railway station is at King's Lynn for the Fen Line which runs between King's Lynn and Cambridge. The nearest airport is Norwich International Airport. The parish had in 2001 census, a population of 483 in 206 households, increasing to a population of 488 in 209 households at the 2011 Census. For the purposes of local government, the parish falls within the district of Breckland. The village lies close to the source of the River Wensum.

Godwick is a deserted village in the county of Norfolk. Its location was south of Fakenham between the villages of Tittleshall and Whissonsett. There are over 200 deserted medieval villages in Norfolk, but most sites have been destroyed by ploughing, the pressures of two world wars or other agricultural uses. Only a few still have impressive surface remains. The earthworks at Godwick are well preserved because the site is grazed by sheep and has never been disturbed. Today it is one of the best surviving examples in the county and the only one open to the public. There is agreement between the owner and English Heritage over the opening and the management of the site, which is open between April and September from 9:30 am until dusk. On site there are information panels with displays of aerial photographs, maps and interpretation plans of this lost village. The earthworks are a scheduled monument. It is an offence to disturb the site or use metal detectors without the written permission of English Heritage.

Pattesley is a village in the English county of Norfolk, about one mile (1.6 km) south of the village of Oxwick. It consists of a few scattered houses. The population is included in the civil parish of Colkirk.

Colkirk (pronounced Col-kirk) is a village and civil parish in the English county of Norfolk. Colkirk is located 2.3 miles (3.7 km) south of Fakenham and 22 miles (35 km) north-west of Norwich. Amenities with the village include a Village Hall, a church pond (known as the Church Pit in Norfolk dialect), a Camping Land (land once used for the game Camping, "camp" meaning battle in Old English). Beacon Hill, Colkirk, Norfolk is a high point, once the site of a beacon forming part of a chain from the North Norfolk Coast to London. The approximate location of the beacon is two kilometres to the west of the village of Colkirk, N52:48:15 E0:49:29.

Grenstein, also known as Gramston or Greynston, was until approximately the 16th century a village in the English county of Norfolk, between Mileham and Tittleshall. There was a market in the 13th century. Since 1959, the site has become obliterated by farming. A single building from the manor estate, Grenstein Lodge, was all that remained of the settlement in 1883.

The hamlet is 2.3 miles south west of Fakenham, 27.3 miles north west of Norwich and 113 miles north north east of London. The nearest railway station is at Sheringham for the Bittern Line which runs between Sheringham, Cromer and Norwich. The nearest airport is Norwich International Airport. The village is situated on the north west side of the A1065 Fakenham to Swaffham road. In 1931 the parish had a population of 72.

Horningtoft is a village and civil parish in the English county of Norfolk. It covers an area of 5.73 km2 (2.21 sq mi) and had a population of 135 in 54 households at the 2001 census, reducing to a population of 127 in 53 households at the 2011 Census. For the purposes of local government, it falls within the district of Breckland. The villages name means 'Curtilage of the Horningas (= dwellers at the horn-shaped piece of land)'. The village approximately 5 miles north of East Dereham. It is close to the villages of Whissonsett and Brisley. The village has a Danish Camp to its eastern end.
