Campbell Park

MK Gallery (also 'Milton Keynes Gallery' or 'MK G') is the municipal art gallery of Milton Keynes, a city in Buckinghamshire about 50 miles (80 km) northwest of London. The gallery was extended and remodelled in 2018/19 and includes an art-house cinema. It does not have a permanent collection.

Campbell Park is a cricket ground in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, located in Campbell Park. The first recorded match on the ground in 1981, when the Northamptonshire Second XI played the Leicestershire Second XI in the Second Eleven Championship. The first List-A match held on the ground came in 1997 when Northamptonshire played Nottinghamshire in AXA Life League. In 1999, the ground hosted a List-A match between New Zealand A and Sri Lanka A. As of March 2012, the most recent List-A match held on the ground came in 2004 when Northamptonshire played Hampshire in the Totesport League.In 2000, Campbell Park hosted a single first-class match between a First-Class Counties Select XI and New Zealand.In 2005, the ground hosted its first Twenty20 match when Northamptonshire played Gloucestershire in the 2005 Twenty20 Cup. From 2005 to 2008, the ground 4 Twenty20 matches, the last of which saw Northamptonshire play Warwickshire in the 2008 Twenty20 Cup.Between 1998 and 2000, Buckinghamshire used the ground for Minor Counties matches, playing 2 Minor Counties Championship matches against Staffordshire and Suffolk and a single MCCA Knockout Trophy match against the Sussex Cricket Board.Campbell Park has held 2 Women's One Day Internationals; the first was between England women and South Africa women in 1997 and the second between India women and Ireland women in 1999.In local domestic cricket, the ground was the home venue of the Northamptonshire Cricket Academy who play in the Northamptonshire Cricket League.As of 2022, Campbell Park is used by Stony Stratford Cricket Club for their Premier Division and Division 2 fixtures in the Northamptonshire Cricket League.

Campbell Park is a civil parish in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, England. The parish is bounded by Childs Way (H6) to the north, the River Ouzel to the east, the A5 to the west, and Chaffron Way to the south. The parish includes the § Fishermead, § Newlands, § Oldbrook, § Springfield, § Winterhill, Willen and The Woolstones grid-squares. The parish was originally known as Woolstone-cum-Willen, and was formed on 1 April 1934 as a merger of Great Woolstone, Little Woolstone and Willen. The parish was part of Newport Pagnell Rural District until the latter became part of the Borough of Milton Keynes in 1974. The parish was redefined in 2012, when the districts of Campbell Park (sic), Newlands and Willen were reallocated to other parishes. Despite the loss of its eponymous district, the Parish Council continues to use its name. As of December 2022, the parish council is consulting on changing its name (to "Secklow Community Council").

The Grand Union Canal in England is part of the British canal system. It is the principal navigable waterway between London and the Midlands. Starting in London, one arm runs to Leicester and another ends in Birmingham, with the latter stretching for 137 miles (220 km) with 166 locks from London. The Birmingham line has a number of short branches to places including Slough, Aylesbury, Wendover, and Northampton. The Leicester line has two short arms of its own, to Market Harborough and Welford. It has links with other canals and navigable waterways, including the River Thames, the Regent's Canal, the River Nene and River Soar, the Oxford Canal, the Stratford-upon-Avon Canal, the Digbeth Branch Canal and the Birmingham and Fazeley Canal. The canal south of Braunston to the River Thames at Brentford in London is the original Grand Junction Canal. At Braunston the latter met the Oxford Canal linking back to the Thames to the south and to Coventry to the north via the Coventry Canal. "Grand Union Canal" is also the original name for what is now the Leicester line of the modern Grand Union, running from short east of Braunston to Leicester, and which is now sometimes referred to as the Old Grand Union Canal to avoid ambiguity.

The Central Milton Keynes shopping area is a regional shopping centre located in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, England which is about 50 miles (80 km) north-west of London. It comprises two adjacent shopping centres, the grade II listed building thecentre:mk (originally named the 'Shopping Building') which opened in 1979, and Midsummer Place opened in 2000. The centre:mk is anchored by John Lewis and Marks & Spencer. The complex is the 14th largest shopping centre in the UK, with the size of 120,773 sq metres.

The Point is an entertainment complex in Central Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, England. When it opened in 1985, it was called the UK's first multiplex cinema although the UK had introduced multi-screen cinemas in 1930 and had been increasing the number of screens in cinemas ever since. The front part of the building has a distinctive mirrored crystal ziggurat shape, framed by external steel beams at each corner, joined at the apex. Originally it had red neon lights connecting the apexes at each side, so that it looked like a pyramid at night. In May 2012, the building's owners Hammerson announced proposals to demolish the building and replace it with a retail-based development. On 6 March 2014, Milton Keynes Council voted to approve the application. On 26 February 2015, the Odeon cinema to the rear of the building closed, in preparation for the demolition. Historic England had refused to recommend the building for listed status.

Gulliver's Land is a children's theme park in Milton Keynes, England. It opened in 1999 and is the third park to be opened by Gulliver's. (The other two parks are Gulliver's World and Gulliver's Kingdom). The park has been designed especially for families. The Adventurers Village is now part of the resort, providing themed accommodation and short break packages. Gulliver's Land resort includes Splash Zone, Blast Arena, The SFEAR and Dinosaur and Farm Park. Gulliver's Land features a number of classic theme park rides, attractions and shows for children aged 2 to 13. A JCB Zone was introduced in 2017, launched in partnership with JCB. The themed area gives children the opportunity to experience JCB themed rides and attractions. Gulliver's Land is typically open from February until December.

The Pennyland project was one of a series of low-energy building experiments sparked by the 1973 oil crisis. It involved the construction of an estate of 177 houses in the Pennyland area of Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, United Kingdom. It compared possible future UK building efficiency standards with newly introduced Danish ones. Although identical externally, half the Pennyland houses (Area 1) were built to the proposed 1982 UK Building Regulations energy efficiency standards. The other half (Area 2) were built to the much more demanding 1977 Danish BR77 standard. (In Europe, BR77 and the Swedish SBN-80 standards set the benchmark for low-energy housing at the time.) Sponsored by the UK Department of Energy, Department of Environment and Milton Keynes Development Corporation, and using the technical expertise of the Open University Energy Research Group, the houses were constructed during 1979 and 1980. For comparison, two additional groups of control houses, already built in 1978, were studied on an adjoining site at Neath Hill. A further group, the Linford low energy houses were built to the Pennyland Area 2 standards and used for more detailed tests.

Gyosei International School UK (英国暁星国際学園, Eikoku Gyōsei Kokusai Gakuen) was a Japanese international school in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, England. The school, a Catholic institution, was one of several Japanese private schools in the UK with a Japanese curriculum. This school was an overseas branch of a Japanese private school, or a Shiritsu zaigai kyōiku shisetsu (私立在外教育施設).The former Gyosei campus is located at Willen Park. It included a baseball diamond, dormitories, and sports facilities. The facility was a boarding school.

Central Milton Keynes is the central business district of Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, England and a civil parish in its own right, with a town council. The district is approximately 3.5 km (2.2 mi) long by 1 km (0.6 mi) wide and occupies some of the highest land in the city. It contains (behind the Central Library) the historic site of the moot hill for Secklow (or Sigelai) Hundred. It is the site of the central retail, business, law enforcement and governmental districts, Milton Keynes Central railway station and around 2,000 residential dwellings.

Milton Keynes Civic Offices is a municipal building in Saxon Gate, Milton Keynes, a city in Buckinghamshire, in England. It accommodates the offices and meeting place of Milton Keynes City Council.

Great Woolstone and Little Woolstone are two historic villages in modern Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire that are now called jointly Woolstone or The Woolstones and form the heart of a new district of that name, in the Campbell Park civil parish. At the 2011 Census, the population of the district was included in the figure for the civil parish and not reported separately.
