Manor Farmhouse, Temple Guiting

Temple Guiting is a village and civil parish in the Cotswolds, in Gloucestershire, England. The civil parish includes the smaller settlements of Barton, Farmcote, Ford and Kineton. In 2011 the parish had a population of 463.The place was recorded as plain Guiting (in the form Getinge) in the Domesday Book of 1086, when it was held by Roger de Lacy. In the middle of the 12th century Roger's son Gilbert de Lacy gave land here to the Knights Templar, who founded the Temple Guiting Preceptory. The place then became known as Temple Guiting after the Knights Templar. St Mary's Church dates back to the 12th century, but was restored in 1884. It is a Grade I listed building. St Mary's is part of the Benefice of the Seven Churches which also includes Guiting Power, Cutsdean, Farmcote, Lower Slaughter with Eyford, Upper Slaughter and Naunton.Manor Farmhouse is an early 16th-century house, also a Grade I listed building.Within the parish is Cotswolds Farm Park, privately owned by Adam Henson, a tourist attraction with 50 breeds of farm animals.

Temple Guiting Preceptory was a medieval monastic house of the Knights Templar in Gloucestershire, England. It was founded around the middle of the twelfth century, receiving grants of land from Gilbert de Lacy and Roger de Waterville. Following the closure of the order in 1308–1309, the last preceptor of Guiting was sent to a monastery in the Diocese of Worcester with a small maintenance charged upon the lands of Temple Guiting.There was a fulling mill established at Temple Guiting, Gloucestershire by 1185 which was documented in the Doomsday Book.

Ford is a hamlet in Gloucestershire, England. Ford lies on the B4077 road where it crosses the upper reaches of the River Windrush between Tewkesbury and Stow-on-the-Wold. The nearest village is Cutsdean a mile to its north.

Cutsdean is a rural village in the Cotswolds and smaller than average sized parish, a few miles east north-east of Cheltenham, Gloucestershire and the same distance south-southeast of Evesham. The River Windrush runs through the village. It can get so windy in the village that the locals call it “two coats Cutsdean”.

Pinnock and Hyde was a township and civil parish in the Cotswolds in Gloucestershire, England. It lies 4 miles (6.4 km) east of the town of Winchcombe. Pinnock was a medieval village, later deserted, and is now a single farm. Hyde consists of a farm and a few houses on the west bank of the infant River Windrush. In 1931 the parish had a population of 70. Pinnock was mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086, as Pignocsire, with a population estimated as at least 25. By 1563 there were only three households there. Today the remains of the medieval village are visible as earthworks north of Pinnock Farm. Hyde is a shrunken medieval village, but traces of medieval buildings have not been found. Pinnock and Hyde became a township of the ancient parish of Didbrook. It was a detached part of that parish, and had its own rectory but no church. It became a separate civil parish in 1866, although its population in 1881 was only 29. The civil parish was significantly enlarged in 1883, when the chapelry of Farmcote was added to it. In 1935 the civil parish was abolished and absorbed into the parish of Temple Guiting.

St Michael's and All Angels Church is in the village of Guiting Power, Gloucestershire, England. It is an active Anglican parish church in the deanery of Stow, the archdeaconry of Cheltenham and the diocese of Gloucester. Its benefice is combined with those of St Faith, Farmcote, St Mary, Lower Slaughter, St Andrew, Naunton, St Mary, Temple Guiting, St James, Cutsdean, and St Peter, Upper Slaughter. The church contains fabric dating from the 12th century and is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building. It formerly stood in the centre of the village, but the demolition of buildings since 1900 has left it standing at the village's southern end.

It lies within the Cotswold Hills Environmentally Sensitive Area (ESA), and the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Guiting Power is a village and civil parish in the Cotswolds, in Gloucestershire, England. The population of the parish at the 2011 census was 296.Guiting Power stands on the slopes of a small valley formed by a tributary of the River Windrush, mid-way between Cheltenham and Stow-on-the-Wold, and lies to the north of the parish church, which is located at Ordnance Survey grid reference SP 096246.

Cutsdean Quarry (grid reference SP105315) is a 0.83-hectare (2.1-acre) nature reserve in Gloucestershire, England. The site is listed in the 'Cotswold District' Local Plan 2001-2011 as a Key Wildlife Site (KWS).The site is managed by the Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust under licence from the Stanway Estate since 1981.
