King George School (Calgary, Alberta)

Calgary Centre-North (formerly known as Calgary North Centre) was a federal electoral district in Alberta, Canada, that was represented in the House of Commons of Canada from 2004 to 2015. It was a mixed urban and suburban constituency in Calgary – with a dense urban area close to the Bow River in the south and suburbs in the north of the riding, west of Deerfoot Trail and east of Nose Hill Park.

Confederation Park is an urban park in northwest Calgary, Alberta. It is developed over an area of 160 hectares (400 acres) between the neighbourhoods of Mount Pleasant, Capitol Hill, Collingwood and Highland Park. 10th Street West bisects the park from north to south. The City of Calgary's Confederation Park Page provides maps of the North Area and the South Area of the park. The park has picnic tables, toboggan hills, cycle paths, tennis courts and baseball diamonds. The park is also a popular destination for couples having wedding pictures taken. The park adjoins the Queens Park Cemetery on the east side by the baseball diamond and tennis courts near Highland Park. There is cross-country skiing both in the park and at the golf course during the winter. Any time of the year the park can be used for geocache searches. Adjacent to the park is the Confederation Golf Course. In winter the golf course is open for cross-country skiing and the park hosts the Lions Club Christmas Light Display in December and January. The park, anchored by the Centennial Golf Course to the west and Queen Park Cemetery to the east, along with other nearby open areas, affords neighborhoods such as Rosemont and Cambrian Heights large amounts of open space.

Mount Pleasant is a residential neighbourhood in the northwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is located immediately north from the Trans-Canada Highway and the community of Rosedale. To the north and west it is bounded by the Confederation Park. It is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 7 councillor.

Rosemont is a residential neighbourhood in the northwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is bounded by Northmount Drive to the north, by Cambrian Drive to the east, by 23 Avenue N and the Confederation Park to the south and by 14 Street W to the west. The lands were annexed to the City of Calgary in 1910, and the neighbourhood was established in 1958. It is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 7 councillor.

SAIT/AUArts/Jubilee station, is a CTrain light rail station in Calgary Calgary, Alberta. It serves the Northwest Line (Route 201) and opened on September 7, 1987, as part of the original line. The station is located on the exclusive LRT right of way in the heart of the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) campus, 1.8 km northwest of the 7 Avenue & 9 Street SW. The station possesses a center-loading platform which has grade-level access at the West end and +15 access at the East end connecting to both SAIT and the Alberta University of the Arts (AUArts). Stairs, an elevator and an escalator connect the platform to the +15. The station's full name is Southern Alberta Institute of Technology/Alberta University of the Arts/Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium. The station serves all of the aforementioned landmarks, and is also located close to the northern periphery of Riley Park. When the station opened, the signage read "SAIT/ACA/Jubilee", as the station was constructed eight years before the Alberta College of Art changed its name to Alberta College of Art and Design. The signage was changed to "SAIT/AUArts/Jubilee" in mid-2019 due to the name change of Alberta College of Art and Design to the Alberta University of the Arts, although some trains continued to announce "SAIT/ACAD/Jubilee" until late 2019. As part of Calgary Transit's plan to operate four-car trains by the end of 2014, all three-car platforms were to be extended. Construction of the extension for the then called SAIT/ACAD/Jubilee station started July 3, 2014 and was completed by the end of 2014.

Capitol Hill is a residential neighbourhood in the northwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It is located immediately north of the Trans-Canada Highway, and is bisected by 14th Street West. The Southern Alberta Institute of Technology and the North Hill shopping center are located south of the community. To the north it is bounded by the Confederation Park. Capitol Hill was established in 1948, but contains buildings as old as 1910. Most of the community was built in the 1950s. It is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 7 councillor.

Rosedale is a residential neighbourhood in the northwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is located south of the Trans-Canada Highway, between 4th and 10th Street NW. To the south it is bounded by McHugh Bluff Park and the community of Sunnyside. It is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 7 councillor.

The Alberta University of the Arts (AUArts) is a public art university located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The university is a co-educational institution that operates four academic schools. The institution originated from the art department established by the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) in 1926, later renamed the Alberta College of Art in 1960. It was separated from SAIT in 1985, becoming an independent, publicly funded college. In 1995, the university was granted the authority to issue Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees and was renamed the Alberta College of Art and Design (ACAD). The institution was designated a university by the government of Alberta in 2018 and was renamed the Alberta University of the Arts in the following year, to reflect its change in status.

The Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) is a polytechnic institute in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. SAIT offers more than 110 career programs in technology, trades and business. Established in 1916, it is Calgary's second oldest post-secondary institution and Canada's first publicly funded technical institute.

The Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium is a performing arts, culture and community facility located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.The auditorium was built in 1955 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Alberta. It is owned and operated by the Government of Alberta. The Jubilee is home to Calgary Opera, Alberta Ballet, and the annual Canadian Legion Remembrance Day Ceremonies. For many years it has hosted touring Broadway shows, stand-up comedians, theatre productions, bands, orchestras, dance festivals and awards ceremonies. Other tenants include Broadway Across Canada.In 2005 as part of the celebrations for the Alberta Centennial, the auditorium underwent extensive renovations totalling $91 million. The main theatre capacity to up 2,523 people on three levels. Renovations beginning in 2004 focused on extensive improvements including: acoustics, seating, climate controls, and a revitalized new look.

Riley Park is an urban park in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It is located in the neighbourhood of Hillhurst, bounded by 8th Ave. NW, 10th St. NW, 5th Ave. NW and 12th St. NW. The park plays is host to Calgary's Cricket Leagues and Calgary Concert Band holds free concerts in the park during summer. Amenities include a wading pool and playground.

CKMX's studios are located on Centre Street in Eau Claire, and its transmitter site is near Southeast Calgary. At night, CKMX can be heard as far west as Battle Ground and Snohomish, Washington. It can also be heard on shortwave on 6.03 MHz via its repeater CFVP, reaching western North America. As of Winter 2020, CKMX is the 18th-most-listened-to radio station in the Calgary market according to a PPM data report released by Numeris.
