Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium

The Alberta University of the Arts (AUArts) is a public art university located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The university is a co-educational institution that operates four academic schools. The institution originated from the art department established by the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) in 1926, later renamed the Alberta College of Art in 1960. It was separated from SAIT in 1985, becoming an independent, publicly funded college. In 1995, the university was granted the authority to issue Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees and was renamed the Alberta College of Art and Design (ACAD). The institution was designated a university by the government of Alberta in 2018 and was renamed the Alberta University of the Arts in the following year, to reflect its change in status.

The Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) is a polytechnic institute in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. SAIT offers more than 110 career programs in technology, trades and business. Established in 1916, it is Calgary's second oldest post-secondary institution and Canada's first publicly funded technical institute.

SAIT/AUArts/Jubilee station, is a CTrain light rail station in Calgary Calgary, Alberta. It serves the Northwest Line (Route 201) and opened on September 7, 1987, as part of the original line. The station is located on the exclusive LRT right of way in the heart of the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) campus, 1.8 km northwest of the 7 Avenue & 9 Street SW. The station possesses a center-loading platform which has grade-level access at the West end and +15 access at the East end connecting to both SAIT and the Alberta University of the Arts (AUArts). Stairs, an elevator and an escalator connect the platform to the +15. The station's full name is Southern Alberta Institute of Technology/Alberta University of the Arts/Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium. The station serves all of the aforementioned landmarks, and is also located close to the northern periphery of Riley Park. When the station opened, the signage read "SAIT/ACA/Jubilee", as the station was constructed eight years before the Alberta College of Art changed its name to Alberta College of Art and Design. The signage was changed to "SAIT/AUArts/Jubilee" in mid-2019 due to the name change of Alberta College of Art and Design to the Alberta University of the Arts, although some trains continued to announce "SAIT/ACAD/Jubilee" until late 2019. As part of Calgary Transit's plan to operate four-car trains by the end of 2014, all three-car platforms were to be extended. Construction of the extension for the then called SAIT/ACAD/Jubilee station started July 3, 2014 and was completed by the end of 2014.

Riley Park is an urban park in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It is located in the neighbourhood of Hillhurst, bounded by 8th Ave. NW, 10th St. NW, 5th Ave. NW and 12th St. NW. The park plays is host to Calgary's Cricket Leagues and Calgary Concert Band holds free concerts in the park during summer. Amenities include a wading pool and playground.

North Hill Centre is a shopping mall in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It opened in 1958, and was Calgary's first shopping mall. The original anchor tenant was Simpsons-Sears (later Sears Canada), but it closed on January 8, 2018.

Capitol Hill is a residential neighbourhood in the northwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It is located immediately north of the Trans-Canada Highway, and is bisected by 14th Street West. The Southern Alberta Institute of Technology and the North Hill shopping center are located south of the community. To the north it is bounded by the Confederation Park. Capitol Hill was established in 1948, but contains buildings as old as 1910. Most of the community was built in the 1950s. It is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 7 councillor.

Kensington is a Business Revitalization Zone (BRZ) in Calgary, Alberta, focused around the intersection of Kensington Road and 10th St. NW, also known as the Kensington-Louise Crossing Business Association. It is located in the communities of Hillhurst and Sunnyside, immediately north of downtown and the Bow River, and is easily reached by most of the city's major access routes. The Calgary C-Train (above ground light-rail transit system) runs through the Kensington area via Sunnyside Station. The station is located along 9A Street, between 3rd and 4th Avenue N.W. Kensington is a lively area with many independent shops, restaurants and pubs. The BRZ hosts Christmas in Kensington Village in December, the Sun and Salsa Festival in July, as well as the Bizarre Bikes & Bazaar in May.

Sunnyside station is a CTrain light rail station in Sunnyside, Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It serves the Northwest Line (Route 201). It is located on the exclusive light rail right of way beside 9A Street NW at 4 Avenue NW, 0.9 km northwest of the 7 Avenue & 9 Street SW interlocking. The station opened on September 7, 1987, as part of the original Northwest line. The station consists of two side-loading platforms with pedestrian crossings at both ends. As part of Calgary Transit's plan to operate four-car trains by the end of 2014, all three-car platforms were extended. On April 16, 2012, construction started on the extension of the platform to the South as well as redevelopment of the plaza areas immediately adjacent to the east side of the station. On November 24, 2012, the new platform extension and wheelchair ramps had been re-opened however, work continued on the station plaza area on the east side until early January 2013.

Hounsfield Heights/Briar Hill is an inner suburban neighbourhood in northwest Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Located north of the Hillhurst and West Hillhurst communities, the boundaries of the district are 16th Avenue N (Trans-Canada Highway)to the north; 14th Street W to the east; Lane north of 7th Avenue N to 19th Street W and 8th Avenue N to the south; and Crowchild Trail, 12th Avenue N, Juniper Road, and 22nd Street W to the west. Lions Park C-Train station and North Hill Centre are located within the community. In the early 90s, a gas station located in the North Hill Centre parking lot was found to have been leaking fuel, contaminating the soil and groundwater in Hounsfield Heights with benzene and 1,2-Dichloroethane. The community is built on an escarpment and is popular for its views of downtown to the south and the Rocky Mountains to the west. The community was annexed by the city of Calgary in 1906, and it was established as a neighbourhood in 1953.

Lions Park station is a CTrain light rail system in Hounsfield Heights and Briar Hill, Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Opened on September 7, 1987 as part of the original Northwest Line (Route 201). It is located on the exclusive LRT right of way on the south side of 14 Avenue NW, just east of 19 Street NW. Two side-loading platforms with ramp access from grade level as well as pedestrian crossings are located at both ends of the station. As part of Calgary Transit's plan to operate four-car trains by the end of 2014, all three-car platforms were to be extended. Lions Park Station had the platform extended to the East which also include an additional level crossing of the tracks, as well the pedestrian crossing of 14 Avenue NW was moved along with the platform. Construction started in Fall 2013 and finished in six months. This platform extension required no closures and didn't affect wheelchair ramp access. In 2008, the station registered an average of 5,800 weekday boardings.

Queen Elizabeth High School (QEHS) is a Canadian public combined junior and senior high school in Calgary, Alberta, which teaches grades 7 through 12. The junior (7–9) and senior high (10–12) programs share a common principal, many teachers, and other resources of the school. It is operated by the Calgary Board of Education. QEHS operates separately from Queen Elizabeth Elementary School, even though the two schools are physically adjacent to each other.

Sunnyside is an innercity community in Calgary, Alberta located on the north side of the Bow River immediately adjacent to Calgary's downtown. The community partners with the neighbouring community of Hillhurst to form the Hillhurst-Sunnyside Community Association. The combined communities have an area redevelopment plan in place, revised in 2009.Kensington is a Business Revitalization Zone adjacent to the communities of Hillhurst and Sunnyside. It is an active family-friendly commercial area, abundant with amenities.
