Ideford Common is a Site of Special Scientific Interest consisting of an area of lowland heath in Devon, England. The site is a habitat for nightjars and Dartford warblers, and is the site of several Bronze Age cairns and a barrow.Ideford and Haldon Forest are nearby.

Luton is a village in Devon, England, within Teignbridge local authority area. Historically Luton formed part of Ashcombe Hundred.The village is in the parish of Bishopsteignton, but has a chapel of ease, dedicated to St John the Evangelist, built in the 19th century. The village is within Kenn Deanery for ecclesiastical purposes. The chapel is a Grade II listed building, as are the lych gate and a tomb in the churchyard. Castle Dyke is an Iron Age hill fort situated between Chudleigh and Dawlish in Devon, England. The fort is situated on a hilltop at approximately 140 metres above sea level.

Haldon Aerodrome was the first airfield in Devon. Established in the 1920s as a private flying field, it developed into an airport with scheduled airline service, and was used by the Navy during World War II. Lidwell Chapel, also known as St Mary's Chapel, is a medieval chapel, now in ruins, within the parish of Dawlish in Devon, England. The chapel is a Grade II listed building, and was first listed in 1951.

Mamhead House, Mamhead, Devon, is a country house dating from 1827. Its origins are older but the present building was constructed for Robert William Newman, an Exeter merchant, in 1827–1833 by Anthony Salvin. The house is Grade I listed as Dawlish College, its function at the time of listing. The parkland is listed at Grade II*.

Lindridge House was a large 17th-century mansion (with 20th-century alterations), one of the finest in the south-west situated about 1 mile south of Ideford in the parish of Bishopsteignton, Devon, about 4 1/2 miles NE of Newton Abbot. It was destroyed by fire on 25 April 1963 and its ruins were finally demolished in the early 1990s, upon which was built a housing development. The gardens have been restored and are Grade II listed in the National Register of Historic Parks and Gardens.

The Haldon Hills, usually known simply as Haldon, is a ridge of high ground in Devon, England. It is situated between the River Exe and the River Teign and runs northwards from Teignmouth, on the coast, for about 24 km (15 mi) until it dwindles away north west of Exeter at the River Yeo, just south of Crediton. The highest points of just over 250 metres (820 ft) lie to the south west of Exeter. The southernmost part is known as Little Haldon; it is partially separated from the main bulk of the hills by a col formed by the valleys of the Dawlish Water to the east and the valley at Rixdale to the west.
